For some reason my brain thinks the piss, and the fish, and the spegettios jello, and the fetus eggs were all different years and every year I come back to THIS Christmas cast and get fucked up all over again when I realize it all happened in the same year.

Coming back to this years later, when I watched this in 2016 I watched it while eating a burrito during an airport layover. Felt awful the entire flight and as soon as the plane landed, I vomited that entire burrito into a paper bag. To this day I blame this Christmascast for giving me the worst time I’ve ever had on an airplane thanks guys!!!!

They said during the after show they were going to eat pleasant food next year, but who knows? I kinda hope they go back to just eating whipped cream and stuff. I feel so bad for them, and this year looked brutal

I looked up videos of people actually eating surstromming and you're
supposed to open the can outside and then take the guts/skin off the
fish before eating it. It is supposed to be one of the worst food smells
in the world though. But without the guts and skin maybe it actually
tastes good? Either way, Kevin bombed the Christmascast.

I love how Kevin is just sitting there like 30 minutes into the show and still hadn't revealed his food yet. You could tell he was just waiting, but once he saw what the other people were doing (like rocco drinking his piss) it seemed like he was losing confidence in his food choice. Little did they know his item would make drinking urine seem good in comparison.
Hell, EVERYTHING was bad this year. Rocco's urine, Kevin's food, the tarantula, those fucking eggs, even Shawn's wheel challenge was gross.
Balut actually tastes good. It's the idea and image of it that makes it detestable.
next year I hope they go back to Christmas cast roots and eat normal things in excess. my favorite was when Brian ate his height in subway sandwiches

When Rocco brought up free iced tea I thought things couldn't get any worse but as soon as Kevin said Sweden I knew things were about to go nuclear.
I eat surströmming 1-2 times a year. We always open the can somewhere outside, far from where we eat. You have to gut them too, since they really just cut the head off. There's still bones and you really don't eat anything but the meat. Which you eat with some side dishes and bread.
The smell is pretty bad and a lot of people, like my brother, don't ever eat it. But it's mostly just very salty, it doesn't taste bad.

This year was amazing, but I would be ok if they want to cut out on the gross shit next year. I wouldn't mind a "back to it's roots" kind of christmascast with Rocco on the eggnog, Garreth on the pickles, Derrick on the pizza, and Shawn on the wine (please make it happen). Next year is the 12th episode I believe, so a "12 days of christmas" kind of special would work.
Suggestion for the next christmascast, play bingo and the winner gets eaten.

I'm sure someone has mentioned it to them since but for the fermented fish it helps if you open it in a bucket of water to dilute the smell. Also you're not supposed to eat it out of the can, you have to wash all the nasty juice off then cook it.
