This channel must be one of the best in the preparation of meals for the likes of me. No useless prattle, fluff or Prima Donna playing to the camera. Just straight forward and to the point.cheers mate !!!.
I search around for how to make something, but always come back to you in the end, you have such a simple way of doing things, with no fancy gadgets or kitchen for that matter, just a normal kitchen like everyone else, have subscribed
Just finished baking my second "Impossible Quiche" and still love it. This time I used ground turkey, spiced turkey ham, green peppers, onion, mushrooms and four different types of cheeses. Fantastic recipe David!
Great recipe. Had this all the time when I was a kid. you can also add grated zucchini (kids wont even know it is in there) or a can of creamed corn try it . It will become that easy meal for the family on a Sunday night.
@CommanderGalos I've never done it in the microwave myself (I rarely use the microwave for anything except reheating leftovers) but I think you should be able to do it. I recommend zapping it for a minute at a time, and when it starts to "puff up" - poke it with a fork to release the air (otherwise it will pop and splatter everywhere!)
I'm actually binge watching your videos to find simple recipes with few ingredients because here in NY we are all staying home during this pandemic and all non essential businesses are close. That means that my 3 older children have no work and no school and will be eating at home all the time. Our grocery stores are all empty and online grocery shopping is not available due to high demand. I've never seen anything lke it. I knew exactly which youtube channel to turn to in order to find the best and easiest recipes...bet you never thought someone would be watching 9 years after you posted this video for this reason. xo
@littleisle If it was really soggy, it's possible the quiche need to be in the oven a little longer. You could also pre-cook the spinach and squeeze out any excess moisture prior to adding it to the quiche mix ;)
Made it! But instead of ham, used spinach and instead of cheddar cheese, used parmesan and swiss, and put it in a pie crust. OMG, it is delicious! I think it's the onions that did it. What a tasty treat, thanks for the video!
Absolutely fabulous. I had to use spring onions instead of regular and it worked out great. It is also good for diabetics since it doesn't have the overload of pastry. Thank you for sharing. I made it last week and it didn't survive the night.

I just wanted to let you know that i tried this recipe this past weekend, and I must say- it was AWESOME!!! - I added ham as well as mushrooms, it was SO good, thanks again for the amazing recipes!!!!
@efaifi This is a non-traditional quiche. Quiche can be vegetarian or contain meat, it's down to personal taste. Normally they have a pastry crust. I have a Chicken Quiche (with pastry) recipe video on my channel (and it's a video response to this video!) so check that out if you like ;)
@sean19996 Not really, as that would be more suited to a dessert. If you want a more traditional quiche (with pastry) check out my "Big Chicken Quiche" video recipe ;)
@littleisle instead of using a lot of milk i use mayo. and it ends up really nice and rich. you can still use milk but very little just add a half a cup of mayo.
hello blue eyes I just found this little clip about your impossible quiche and was shocked to see you put this up so long ago the date today is 18th October and the year is now 2024 at 3.3pm on a balmy Friday afternoon in Perth Western Australia I am hoping you are well and still cooking thanks for your showing me how to make it for my for me tea I'm going to sit in my garden and enjoy an ice cold beer, best wishes julia x
I'm totally doing this when I get home from school tonight. I have a whole bunch of stuff that needs to be eaten within the next couple of days - they would taste delicious together in this!! Thanks :D
I love your channel!! I'm pregnant so spending hours on my feet in my kitchen is NOT appealing. Thanks for all your amazing recipes! You're making my life easier and my husband happier, lol.
you my man have saved my cooking life! before you I coudn't make anything except french fries and eggs but now I'm cooking like a freakin pro all thanks to you! And the meals are so good Im afraid im going to get fat again :D
I do now, but back when this video was recorded, I didn't have a fan forced oven. Regardless, when I quote a temperature, it's for a standard non-fan forced oven. So reduced the temperature by 10-20 degrees Celsius if using fan forced ;)
love this tried it tonight. Thanks David love your cooking. are you using a fan forced oven? i just want to make sure i cook it correctly. i did mine in 180 for the same time.
@kikomiko1 in Malaysia we have both the yellow and the orange one and the orange one is usually the sharp cheddar cheese or extra sharp, I think it's the process that makes it orange? Most of our cheeses are imported from Australia and other countries though, we don't have local cheese :D
I make mine in a 9" deep pie dish. So on Saturday I made one with 500grams of cooked chicken I bought from Aldi. Today I'm making another one but instead I'm using 300grams of diced ham. Both filled the pie plate. I like One Pot Chef recipes because his are always simple.
i have a question, first time i had quiche was when i visited Australia and it looks exactly like this but vegetarian. then i tried to find recipes to make it myself but most i found have a pastry base... like pie? so is it necessary to have that base? whats the difference?
Made this today with spinach in 6 individual pie plates arranged on a baking sheet. They were set and ready to come out of the oven in about 18 minutes. I also rotated the baking sheet after 10 minutes so the little quiches would bake evenly. The test will be if my 93 yr old mother in law likes it

Best quiche ever! No fuss! Thanks you're the best!
@littleisle If it was really soggy, it's possible the quiche need to be in the oven a little longer. You could also pre-cook the spinach and squeeze out any excess moisture prior to adding it to the quiche mix ;)
I recommend using cream for the Chicken Quiche, but you can use milk if you like ;)
@tor808tor You can if you like it a little crispy, otherwise you can put it in raw and it will cook in the oven ;)
@ScrapyardApe Yes, you can use butter to grease the pie plate if you wish. I'm just lazy and use the spray ;)
Made it! But instead of ham, used spinach and instead of cheddar cheese, used parmesan and swiss, and put it in a pie crust. OMG, it is delicious! I think it's the onions that did it. What a tasty treat, thanks for the video!
Don’t need a pie crust … it’s impossible pie ..
@sharonng520 You could add some cooked pasta. Use something small like pasta shells or vermicelli noodles ;)
Absolutely fabulous. I had to use spring onions instead of regular and it worked out great. It is also good for diabetics since it doesn't have the overload of pastry. Thank you for sharing. I made it last week and it didn't survive the night.
@TruBeauty15 You can leave them out if you like. Try adding your favorite vegetables instead ;)
I love a good quiche but this one looks nice without messing with pastry dough. I make outs also from left over ham at Christmas :)
@Azurestories If you like. Feel free to substitute with another vegetable if you prefer (diced tomatoes would be good) ;)
Absolutely fabulous. I had to use spring onions instead of regular and it worked out great. It is also good for diabetics since it doesn't have the overload of pastry. Thank you for sharing. Great recipe
@hootypatootie Actually the sticker is quite stubborn and won't come off! I think I'll attack it with some metho and see if that kills it :)
I just wanted to let you know that i tried this recipe this past weekend, and I must say- it was AWESOME!!! - I added ham as well as mushrooms, it was SO good, thanks again for the amazing recipes!!!!

@caderly28574 Think of it as an egg pie without a pastry crust ;)
5 minutes of prep work!!! I'M SOLD ALREADY!!
It looks SCRUMPTIOUS!
Have to go now .... I'm about to whip this baby up for Brekkie!!!
xoxo
@Ffojt Serve with a side salad or steamed vegetables ;)
@kikomiko1 Nope - our cheese is just plain yellow ;)
@TheHellequinne Absolutely, this is the basic recipe. Feel free to jazz it up with additional ingredients to suit your personal tastes ;)
@MoneyAndPeople Use your favorite vegetables. Some roughly torn spinach leaves would be excellent ;)

Hallelujah this is a great idea! Thanks for sharing
It was just marvelous and so easy to make.
I've made this 5 or 6 times with chopped up spinach leaves and ham as opposed to just ham...turns out great every time. Thanks OPC !
Awesome recipe! We'll give this a try Sunday with ham, onion, mushroom, spinach, feta & cheedar! Thanks David!

@catojoergensen1985 LOL sounds like you love your pasta bakes! I'm glad you like what I do :)
@MoneyAndPeople If I want a bit of kick without using onion I replace it with a little chili or a spice with a bit of heat.
This is fantastic.
This one is a "must do"! Low carb too! Thank you! mmmmmmmmmmm

@werewasyo You don't win friends with salad! You don't win friends with salad! SING ALONG!!! :P

Exactly what I’ve been looking for thank you ❤
I have never failed this recipe yet. The very first recipe I've recreated of yours, and it's still a favourite :)
We had this for tea last night. I substituted the ham for tomato for a veggie version & it was yum :)

Try my recipe for Cheese and Bacon Twists. You'll find it in the "Snacks and Side Dishes" playlist on my channel page ;)
Looking good much better you had some issues before so glad youre fine blessings
Gonna try this recipe soon! Random qn: Is it okay to use brown sugar as a sub for white sugar for all recipes?
Thank you for this! Saves me from making the base pastry that I never get right!
You are sooo amazing!
It's better to eat the fresh. Cooked eggs don't always freeze well ;)
Looks great, but I don't feel it's a complete dinner on its own. What would you recommend to serve with this?
Love you channel, keep it up 👍👍👍👍
i have a question, first time i had quiche was when i visited Australia and it looks exactly like this but vegetarian. then i tried to find recipes to make it myself but most i found have a pastry base... like pie? so is it necessary to have that base? whats the difference?
