The outer barrel nut is AEG spec however the outer barrel base itself is smaller than an AEG spec outer barrel, you'll need a washer if you want to use the stock outer barrel with an after market handguard. Angry gun and Z-Parts make to-spec outer barrels, and they make both aluminum and steel versions. I personally am using a somehow perfectly sized keychain ring as a washer and it's been working well.
Hey man, noticed no one answered you. If you haven't bought something already, This gun is freakin pricey. So I'd say it depends on how much you play. If you dont go very often, I'd suggest something cheaper. But if you play a lot, it's definitely an awesome gun. I'd suggest trying a game or two with a gbbr if you're very new and haven't played much, if you don't like it you'd be out a lot of coin. Happy blastin!

You should buy an angry gun heavy recoil kit it's a 10.8 or 10.2 Oz bolt for maximum recoil

It is the CQBR model by Marui. Might have to order the gun itself
