I'm 48 and have moved out of my birth state to break away from my toxic family. To this day, I continue to run into a brick wall in trying to have a relationship from my Mom. My father was also a narcissist. Due to all of this, I've isolated myself and have superficial relationships, not letting anyone get too close because I hate being vulnerable and don't want to get manipulated and hurt anymore. My life has been more of a nightmare overall, with very brief and fleeting moments of happiness. My turning to Jesus is the only aspect that's helped. No therapy, drugs, relationships, alcohol or anything else has helped except on a very temporary level.
The suffering our Savior endured for our sins is unimaginable. We had a physician break down everything that was done to Him, the impact it had on His body, and the pain He suffered. It makes me feel so unworthy and ashamed that I am still struggling with sin. But I am beyond grateful that I am not what I used to be and that Yeshua loves me, with all of my wretchedness. Thank you Lord Yeshua, for helping me and directing me through Your Holy Spirit. I can't wait to bow before You and to kiss Your feet in gratitude. I love you! ❤❤❤
One of the keys is to know that the Bible says Blessed is the PEACE MAKERS, and not PEACE KEEPERS. We are called to Judge things and people according to the Word of God. If they choose to not accept Godly Judgement, then let them go their own way.... Shake the dust off your feet, so to speak. This applies to family members, church congregations, and friends. Have a short time of mourning for what was lost, but move on in your secure relationship with God, in Christ Jesus.
The word of God is the final authority period, there is no easy way to die to the flesh, the Holy Spirit brings correction and reproof, our Lord disciplines those he receives, so we humbly receive correction, through a Holy fear and reverence of God, Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, salvation comes through Him, only him, he expects us to obey his commands these are not suggestions open to debate, if we love Him truly love Him, we love and obey and believe every word written in his book, no questions asked, believe and live, doubt and you will, not maybe but will be deceived.
@brendoncowan5470 Brendon, one thing I've learned and still learning, the Lord real does know if we love him, and truly want to please him, not with works, but love respect and honor, also he says if we lack wisdom he will give us freely, if we ask him to protect us from deception obviously he will, but most importantly through Jesus we are saved belong to him, and nothing can snatch us out of his hand, he promised to bring us safely home to live with him forever, and brother soon we will kiss his face hug him and love him forever, I'll see you there maybe sooner then we think, I'd like to have gone up yesterday, ha anyway be blessed and he really does love us.
Listening to this sermon this Verse came to mind. “Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.”” Acts 5:38-39 NIV
Thank you Ahava for posting----I think what separates DW from most pastors/preachers is that he took the time to sincerely seek the Lord for His direction based on the needs of the folks that God alone knew would hear his message and that then became the theme for each message. Today they have developed a cute way around having to earnestly seek the mind of God this way---" We teach the whole Bible from Genesis to Revelation chapter by chapter " In essence saying, " we don't need to seek as we already know exactly where we will be next week, ( whether it is applicable to the attendees or not " ). So sad---For example, I work with the homeless at street level, and a pastor came out to give a message to them---His message was based on where he would next be in his chapter by chapter approach and he had the audacity to just dryly read Matthew 1:1-17, ( the genealogy ) and make those poor untreated mentally ill and drug addicted people suffer through it---No discernment, no care---Is this a man of God or an hireling---It's time that in love we stand up against such folly---1 Corinthians 11:19 "For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be manifest among you " God help us in this final hour.
I swear the more I hear him say Jesus is the living God the more I wanna turn away from this man. Who was Jesus praying to when he was on the cross? Why would God need to be tempted by the devil? If Jesus is the living God then who the heck was Satan talking to saying all this can be yours if you worship me? God himself? Com'on his own preaching are not holding up. We've all heard it a million times God gave is only be-gotton son to die for our sins... So what you're saying is God never had a child and it was him the whole time.... Talk about deception...
You don’t understand the Hebrew revelation of Elohim(plural, and Echad all in one.) The Shema teaches that Elohim is one. But Elohim is also plural. God can take any form He so wishes. Saying that He cannot is a dire mistake. He’s the creator of the entire universe and all that was ever made. God took human form in Abraham’s day. YHWH, came down to man kind through the seed of Adom(Adam in Hebrew means the earth/dust, through Miriam. He didn’t have an earthly father’s sperm. The Holy Spirit placed the embryo into her womb, and no I do not hold to any denominational beliefs about Mary Worship…period. So God became man through the womb of the woman. In His earthly form He was called the son of man and the son of Elohim. Satan accused God before all the host of Heaven, as not being compassionate and creating a people made in His image that would die lost and separated from Him for eternity. Also that He could not comprehend our suffering as He was Holy upon His throne. So, the Ruach Hakodesh, breathed life into Mary’s womb, and became a living soul. Jesus, made eyes for the blind man when he spit upon clay and put it in the man’s eye sockets. This signified that Jesus was God in flesh. If you in your finite mind, try to comprehend all that God is, you will never be able to do so. It’s best not to even try. Jesus said many times who He was and said if you do not believe that I Am(he was inserted and not in the original text) you will die in your sins. If Jesus was just a man, we are all still in our sin. Only God has never sinned. Because in Him is life and light and no darkness at all. He was tempted just as we are, and partook in our sufferings, and trials and yet He did not sin.

I am guessing that you are a Jehovas witness? Jesus is God. It’s clear in the scriptures. “If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father. The Father and I are one”. I have a similar story. Left family at 38, left home state at 42, then COVID happened, will be 48 soon.
