I think every cabinet appointment so far has been a joke to see what T can get away with. He's just winding us up, and we're going to confirm them! One of them withdraws because of his shameful past (not his incompetence or lack of qualifications) and it's hard not to see it as good news, but the cavalcade of Bozos is intact. I hope those who voted for the chief clown are paying attention to what they've actually done to the country they're supposedly making great again.
@@midlifematt A while ago - might have been earlier this year, or last year - there was a verdict or conclusions announced by an inquiry into racism suffered by an Asian cricketer who played for Yorkshire. The long and the short of it is that some of his fellow cricketers and possibly members of the cricket board (can't remember if that was a national or regional - Yorkshire - cricket board) exhibited racist attitudes towards the Asian cricketer, to the detriment of his mental health and his career.
In Canada 🇨🇦 the show was called Hammy Hamster 🐹. I watched it in Toronto, Ontario on Global TV. Turns out the show has a Canadian connection. The pilot was created by David Ellison and Paul Sutherland, CBC film editors, in 1959. CBC rejected it but BBC took it on .
I very much enjoyed the ep. I was a little worried about the loose hamsters headline, given that the publication was "Fry" magazine. I liked the human bobblehead next to Starmer, though. (I'm from the US - I didn't know who she was.) I hope our media picks up on RFK Jr.'s middle name (thanks to Paul), but I don't have my hopes up because they're useless. Or corrupt. Or cowards. Or all of the above.
Parker drove the Rolls Royce in 'Thunderbirds' and he was a PUPPET! So credit where it's due, please..... For the record - 'Thunderbirds' and 'Babylon 5' - Best! Series! Ever!
But 'we' (the UK, US and I presume most European countries plus other nations from around the world) did. The Americans say that the kind they are approving/supplying have batteries and therefore become inactive after a few months, but charities have said that this is not a guarantee, that they can last longer. Without precise maps being made of every mine field, laying mines could cause deaths for many decades to come.
British farmers are treated as a joke we're not even talking about them anymore it's celebrities and land owning politicians vs other politicians and celebrities 😢😂
Saw a clip of Lorraine interviewing Ian a couple of weeks ago, and she mentioned that she would like to host HIGNFY again. Ian said he would see what he can do...
Trying to get sense from the public using Vox Pops is a waste of time. It’s like that American woman during the election campaign who was marching against abortion quoting bible verses. This one reporter started talking to her about it, getting her to cite chapter and verse what lines she was quoting, then she said the entire bible had to be followed. He then brought up the part where Egyptians once slaughtered their first born child of every house, and mysteriously she decided she didn’t want to talk to him anymore.
17:18 the full classification is Cavalcade of Bozo the Clowns... I’ve heard that Ronald McDonald is very disappointed that he has not been nominated for the orange Kool-Aid circus, sorry I meant cabinet, given that he is one of the most famous clowns and works for Macca’s.
I believe the Clowns in the Cavalcade are more the Stephen King variety (but named Pennyfoolish) and have been recruited largely from East Coast sewers.
Inheritance Clarkson denying his own farm/estate played any part in him getting involved in the protests and just protecting the little commoners (who won't be affected unlike him). But it must be true what he said because he's an honorable man (as Shakespeare would have put it)
Official notice: From here on, the UK HIGNFY will be referred to as "HIGH-n-FIE" and the US edition will be pronounced "HIG-niffy". So there you go -- all potential confusion eliminated! (As long as Richard Herring doesn't manage to sell the USA on "RHLSTP"...)
It's because Cadburys was bought out by American company Kraft Foods, then they suddenly decided to change their name for some reason to Mondelez Ltd and changed the chocolate recipe to have less sugar, due to the Sugar Tax in the UK a few years back.
@@chindleymuffin Yeah, I mean ... I know that, and I live in Texas. And apparently, the taste is shite now. So why hasn't everybody just stopped buying it??? Ofc, it is sad AF, even over here, Cadbury _used_ to be awesomesauce. Not anymore. Corporate greed ruins every thing. :^/
She didn't dodge taxes. The case was ruled comprehensively in her favour and most tax experts agree HMRC should never have brought the case in the first place. She went without holiday pay, maternity pay etc, and in fact once lost her presenting role when she went on maternity leave, with no recourse because she was freelance.
Well the cries of alarm from the protesting farmers seems to be because they believe any farm estate over £1 million will be subject to the tax, full stop - whereas the government and all the journalism I've read about it say that there is more to it than that and that in most cases only estates worth £3 million upwards will be affected. That said, I've never been a big fan of inheritance tax - Labour say they are doing it to stop tax evading tactics by the very rich (such as buying farmland just to avoid IHT), but a lot of people can own valuable property and not have other wealth to fall back on. A person who has lived in a nice house for decades, which has gained even greater value due to nice amenities in the area etc, could find themselves landed with a bill they cannot pay unless they sell the only asset they have - their home. Similarly with farmers, one can imagine a farmer having to sell the whole lot because they don't have a bundle of cash sitting in the bank ready to pay IHT. Let's hope the government have done their homework right and that the worst fears of the farming community are misplaced.
Perhaps if the likes of Boris Johnson and Farage hadn't been so dishonest and ridiculous then they wouldn't get lampooned so often. I don't think judging people on the way they behave and what they say is unreasonable! The 'right' these days is so absurd and depressingly shameless that I have no respect for them; the old Tories like Kenneth Clarke had too much dignity and good sense to be allowed to remain in the party, it's really gone to the dogs over the course of the last decade. Farage is a shameless Trump wannabe, parroting lines about 'paid actors' being responsible for inconvenient news stories. Shameful behaviour, and he is shamelessly practicing it. That said, I saw a longer version of Clarkson being interviewed by Victoria Derbyshire and he went on to say that though he had initially considered a tax break as a perk of organising shoots on his land, in the event he didn't get permission to hold shooting on his land, nor was it the principal motivation for buying the land in the first place. Presuming that is true then it was a bit dishonest of HIGNFY to edit that out for a laugh at Clarkson. However, the farming inheritance tax issue isn't a right vs left issue, the opposition to the policy is only being so fiercely championed by the Conservatives because they have seen the upset it's caused among farmers and naturally they take a contrarian position to Labour on it - they smell blood.
I haven't seen anyone making any angry comments, nothing but positive reactions to the show. I haven't scrolled through all of them, but I've seen a few dozen and they were all cheerful. EDIT: Having scrolled further down, I have come across a lot of the 'It's not impartial' stuff, which I consider largely to be nonsense (The BBC has been variously accused of being too left wing or too right wing by politicians of either side, and if Tory viewers think it odd that 'the right' gets more stick than the left in recent years, consider how the right has behaved and who it consists of: Boris, Farage, Trump and the like. There's good reason why people are more derisive about them than Starmer sitting on the fence, Labour being a bit tone deaf and saying sausages instead of hostages).
Guys guys I did it. I had the self control to wait for the long edit.

Coming two days from now: HIGAWGELONFY! ("Have I Got A Whopping Great Expanded Load Of News For You"!

Watched regular edit last night, rewatched this extended version tonight, absolutely loved this edition. Thank you so much for posting.
What's the difference? Does this version have everything the other one has and some?
@@falsemcnuggethope Yes, about 10 minutes more. Sometimes the extended version gives context missed in the initial version.
Yes, this version has a bit more news for you.
Lorraine was so funny, I really enjoyed this extended edition, Thanks.

Lorraine was great as was the whole episode 😊
Wow I liked Lorraine hosting more than I thought I would! Her innocent style of comedy reminds me of Sarah Millicans style.
Thank you for the full episode
Lorraine played a blinder and Maisie was surreal.
15:00 The outrage! Ronnie Rotten is a well-beloved children's character, and Matt Gaetz is a character to be kept away from children of all ages.
Well, Donald Trump does remind me of El Hudat from two episodes of Stingray.
He looks more like Beavis.
Particularly good this week.
As and Irishman I can say we're not wary about strangers... just SOME strangers.
Plus we NEVER expect the Spanish Inquisition.....
"cavalcade of bozos" haha
Thanks. As an American, I can't watch anything on American TV without some horrific daily info.
Ain't that the truth. It's nice to see television presented as if the audience aren't all gibbering idiots.

Ah, this was a good one. Maisie got in some good lines. I am surprised no one linked the "hamsters like driving" story with self-driving cars.
Huge missed opportunity when they said they were getting Scottish hamsters to drive cars. Can't believe no one said "drunk".
Hilarious thanks for this, got through loads of tissues.
there was so much good stuff that didn't make the original cut, cheers 👍👍
Maisie's new hair style is quite a change. Cute.
“It’s a Before and After, but Before and After _What_ we don’t know” 20 seconds and I’m already crying with laughter.😂😂
Lorraine Kelly’s voice is so soothing.
Only place to get the actual news.
Thanks for posting. One of the best episodes I've seen.
Maisie and Lorraine is the greatest combo since Sriracha and mayo.
or since John Stonehouse and his wife
Merton is on steroids in this one!
Also, Maisie was funnier than she realised with "Did you call him _une_ prick?"
Love Lorraine, unofficial queen of Scotland 🏴🏴🏴👸
Maisie is really good on this show.
