I'm proud for the English because they always are in the forefront of music advancement ever since the Beatles, whether in Electronica, New Wave or simply Rock which is what Kasabian is. They are different there is no doubt about it, but they are awesome, new, refreshing, creative. Nothing compared to what we get here in America: Justin Bieber, Miley Cirus which is all but a crock of pretentious shit.
You're comparing apples to oranges: rock to pop. Not that there are a lot of great rock bands in the U.S. either, but it's better than the pop selection, i.e. Bieber, Cyrus, etc.
When you are on a stage with high powered lights you can only see out about the first 3 rows. Could be why he's using sun glasses. I don't think he's bad looking at all. Love the music regardless.

So you got to support any band so music doesn't get taken over by generic R&B and club music. Kasabian are the best band in England at the moment and that is a fact. Left school this year, seen Kasabian twice that year. They were on top of the world here, truly incredible live with Tom on vocals.
