    Many of you in the comments section are asking for the list of brokers. I trade mostly with Zebu. They generally don't take collateral from most clients, that's why I didn't mention them in the video. You can consult with your own broker and see whether they're allowing you to pledge Bharat Bond as collateral. If you're unable to, we will talk to Zebu. Please mail your Name, Email ID, Mob No. to mansunconsultancy@gmail.com with the subject as "BROKERS ACCEPTING COLLATERAL" and we will collate and forward to Zebu.

Reason why I am asking above question is after I reviewed comments many people mentioned that you should know about option selling otherwise its difficult to understand your course.

    Sir, for positional F&O trades, this is what written on Zerodha. Please guide on this.
    "Exchanges stipulate that for overnight F&O positions, 50% of the margin needs to compulsorily come in cash and the remaining 50% can be in terms of collateral margin.
    If you don’t have enough cash, your account will be in debit balance and there will be a delayed payment (interest) charge, a charge of 0.05% per day applicable to the debit amount".

    I dont think this is a best idea of buying bharat bond and provide collateral to broker. Because, first broker will charge for Pledging and unpledging. After that for the outstanding amount , broker will charge 12 to 16% interest per annum. So it makes no sense to invest in the bharat bond first (7% per year return) and then give that bond to broker to trade(broker will charge 16% per year interest for the outstanding money).

      Same question here. Bharat bond 2030 trades at a 1% premium to nav and 2031 trades at a 1% discount. But 2030 has appreciated a lot when compares to 2031. Not sure how NAV of 2030 bond went to up by 11% in 1 year 2 months period.

    But the last point of Collateral spoiled the show. If it's not taken as cash, then equivalent amount we have to bring in as cash to trade. Small traders cannot demand brokers to take only collateral.

    Can you make one vdo on selection of reliable broker for the core portfolio. Is it best practice to invest for long term for next generation in discount brokers like Zerodha instead of full service broker and trustable brand of India HDFC Securities. How you manage your core LT investments.

    Hi sir,
    Your sessions are very informative and you have become my role model.
    And I just have a doubt sir, do we have to pay interest for collateral and what do you do with the pledged bonds if you make losses.

    • @vamsikothwali9222
      @vamsikothwali9222 2 роки тому

      Just my thought to your question.
      It may work like margin money supported by broker (5X) in zerodha.. during an Intraday session, where in you square off your positions with in that day. So technically speaking, in a days session the funds used will be given back to the broker. So no interest will be levied.
      if you make losses, the fund available that is offered to you can be reduced the next day or something like that.
      On the other hand, if you take monthly positions, the minus components ( that is interest and losses) can be deducted from the available fund. This inturn will effect the actual collateral that you have pledged.
      I incur that the idea from above video is that.. the losses from your postions should not cross the bond yields.. so that you capital stays intact... And from this if you calculate it backwards.. you should know your stoploss as well.
