Photography is an incredibly difficult job and I appreciate hearing just how much struggle and work goes into a photo in this day and age where everyone thinks a cell phone is enough.
Honestly, This is one of the best HAF videos yet. The cars and the actual photos are amazing, but all of the behind the scene stuff and stories is what makes this channel (and the team) the best.
As an aspiring auto photographer, I appreciate the work you put in on track and off track with teaching how to take quality shots and techniques is the level of quality I hope to achieve and watching the gritty life on events like Le Man and Pikes Peak shows what most see unless you're behind the less! Keep up the amazing work!
RKelly wind! Larry you the man and sharing the grit you and the guys have to get this coverage is phenomenally amazing. Having art on my wall from this shoot will be an amazing reminder of what hard work really is. Every time I see it.
Bro by far the best blog from you ever. So sorry it was so hard so hard and the pee hitting your face priceless 😝😝. We all appreciate your efforts to bring us your passion for the experience of life time with cars. Your photos are so artistic totally 💯
hotel living at Pikes Peak looks a lot like my first year of college dorm living, except those snacks were my meals and i had to make it last all week.
The highway going from Co Springs to the Pikes Peak Highway is FUN to bomb going up or down. I highly recommend it. Also you can feel how bad the air is up at the top because the car goes from feeling ok at the bottom of the 19 mile road to absolutely gutless at the top.
I Love Pikes Peak! I get to see it everyday. I’ve spent quite a bit of time on barr trail and the manitou incline. Just beautiful there and possibly the most epic race in the United States. I had to laugh when Larry shared with us how he pissed all over his face. The same happened to me a few years back. I was peeing when a huge gust of wind came up, turning my stream of pee into mist then blowing it all over my face 😂😂😂. Absolutely disgusting and hilarious all at the same time.
"Become the main photographer of Pikes Peak!" they said, "it's totally fun" they said... 🤪😁😁😁 But all joking aside: it's good that you also show the not so glamorous side of the job. 😎👍
Don’t worry too much about your whining man, I don’t just come here for the awesome car content you produce. I enjoy the experience you provide in your videos, the personal stories you give just adds to it. Keep on sharing with us!
I was just up there. I have videos from the upper pull off on the look out rocks. It’s hard to express how awesome it is to be up there. I will say day 2 of it had me hurting from altitude sickness.
Next time you have a photo shoot in NJ, please order yourself porkroll, egg, & cheese with salt, pepper, & ketchup on a everything or egg everything bagel. You will thank me. Also, keep on trucking Larry & crew. You guys do amazing work!
"I know you guys hate it when I complain" Lies! I live vicariously through it 😅 too many people only post the happiness, you give us the contrast that reality brings ❤️ some days we're sick, forget pieces of equipment, and then piss into the wind to top it off (albeit usually not literally 🤣). Keep on being you and being human ❤️
The golden shower was too funny Larry! Sponsored by the golden arches (Food Poisoning is the F'n worst!). Normal air at sea level is 21% Oxygen & 78% Nitrogen...at the top of Everest it is about 1/3 of that because of the lack of air density...the percentage is the same though. Photos are unreal Larry...wow! Favorite one is where you have all the switchback roads on the shot that look like they are overlapping. But have you played a high stakes game of Ping Pong in Ding Dang? #Pancakes #BarryBadrinath #BeerFeast
that sounds like altitude sickness, if it was your first day there and you had nausea, vomiting, or a headache. if it was just diarrhea then maybe not. But be careful with that, can put you in the hospital. I used to get altitude sickness when i was a kid on ski trips in colorado, would have all sorts of weird reactions when i would first get up by the mountains. Feels like severe dehydration / bad hangover sometimes but its not. It's a reaction from your body to lack of oxygen in your brain. i remember being sick for a day or two once, then it would go away and i'd be fine rest of trip
I spent a couple days up there and the first day for me wasn’t bad but day 2 had me feeling like I had food poisoning. My head felt like it was going to explode.
My resting heart rate at sea level is around 52-58bpm but at the top of Pikes Peak it was 100-120bpm. My Apple Watch kept asking me if I wanted to record my workout.
I was there for the race this year, my first time at that kind if altitude. I took everything slow, the hardest part was carrying a sleeping preschooler several hundred yards back to the car at Devil's Playground.
The mountain don’t lie, if she wants you to finish, you will finish, if she wants you to fail, you will fail. If she wants u to piss on your face, you will😂😂
Larry haven't you ever heard the expression never piss in the wind. Have your back towards the wind when you're peeing you don't have to worry about getting it in your face. Keep up the quality content. PS f*** McDonald's

@Abbas I'm sorry I never meant to degrade anyone.
Give it an extra thumbs up for Larry admitting that he pissed on his own face 😂🤣🤣
Thank you for your hard work at getting these shoots done! We appreciate your struggles and love your vids 🤙

I know that you really suffered for this but the shots you took were epic totally worth the effort 👌 and Magnus is such a cool cat love that guy👍

Larry's shutter has his shutter speed like he's fixing to put flip books on his etsy page
They call him machine gun Larry for a reason

I prefer it when the later portion was still dirt road. It was amazing seeing the pikes peak Celica and Escudo drift through the dirt turns

29:30 Just realized that the sirens are to not KILL someone trying to run on the road and he doesnt hear the no-sound car lol
That little rodent is a marmot and they aren’t scared of people. They also hibernate in the winter.

I remember playing on the Play station back in the late 90’s I think and pikes peak was dirt or gravel surface , when did this change ?
I believe 2011
It progressively got more asphalt in random places and was finished in 2011. They recently repaved it all and now have a visitors complex at the top.
Larry i feel bad for you.... but Oh My God i laughed so hard. Thank you for being vulnerable... Keep up the amazing content bro!

Anyone else notice the car teleporting/glitching @ 21:39 ??
Hoonigan builds a pikes peak audi donk brought to you by ebay motors
Your English is very good

Darude sandstorm
Its hard to appreciate the electric cars when they use an annoying siren, how about some spaceship noises?
32:53 Wait, was that a bear?
Nice
Larry, admit it. You now have a fetish for golden showers. LOL
Cool
The lack of views and commentary on this UA-cam Gold … is inconceivable!

You basically “R KELLY” yourself 😆
LOL you're a car guy and knows wind factors, how did you forget? always empty fluids towards tailwind direction; never facing a headwind.
