Even with all the people, you found interesting things. Loved the opportunity to see the tortoise limpet, so beautiful. The old moon cracked me up, looked like it was wedged between two livers 😂😂 Very nice vertebrae and incredible driftwood. Thanks for the shout-out 😊

Hi Jamie. I love that piece of driftwood. Beautiful! The dogs whelks and surf clams were awesome too but you know I was crazy when I saw those sand dollars! I love them so much. Thanks for another wonderful day on the beach.

You found some amazing finds today. The moon's, blue muscles, dog whelkes and basket whelkes are awsome. You always do. The limpits are so cool. Love the sand dollars. The shells and drift wood are always amazing. When I get to get to Lake Michigan we do find drift wood but never like the ones you find. Thank you for another wonderful shelling video. I love watching your videos as you find all these different shells out there. Those huge clam shells would make nice trays for knick knacks. I was surprised to see a lot of other people out there looking for shells as well. But you did find some nice ones. 🌊🐚❤
The summer months are super busy on the island. It's worse now that they closed most of the refuge because of the plovers. That's why my favorite time to shell is during the off season when it's cold, stormy and the whole island is mine! Hahaha!

I gotta say Kim - I LOVE dog whelks. A lot of people pass right over them because they're small and everybody wants to find the big shells, but I love the dog whelks because they have so many unique colors and designs.

Yup! When the refuge closes most of the beaches, everybody hits the Bar Head rocks. Lots of competition!

Big hugs to you too Karleen! Yes...I display the scallops on drift wood. They lay nice and flat on it and the colors look super swoony together!
I love to watch your programs. I use to shell on the outer banks, nc. I hurt my back so can't shell any more. I love all the different types of shells you show and explain.

I am both Scottish and Irish it is a passion to know about either. I was wondering about the blue mussels. Does the back clean up nicely, or do they stay dark? The surf clam with blue interior was a hold your breath moment. I had the opportunity to see my daughter in Florida, recently and she has a giant shell pile near her home and I got to pick, climb, and enjoy the gathering most all the shells our friend Sharman gets. I sent her a pic of the shell pile, and she was just very excited about it. I hope to be able to be out to Plum Island before it gets too hot. Thanks for sharing❣️🦋❣️🐾🐾🐚🐚🐚🌈🥰

Actually, I'm right handed BUT - it may have something to do with recording. I hold my recording device in my right hand.
