New subscriber here so glad I found your channel , great haul, great yummy finds , I just posted in my weekly grocery hall too lol 😆
The thing with deli meat is, you gotta eat it fast, or freeze it. When it comes from a deli counter. The deli meat at Aldi usually has a good date on it (if you reach in back, gotta compare dates... if you have the time). It stays OK for quite some time. I mean that's the thing where I live (EU), in our Aldi's.
It’s true! When we get it from the counter we do eat it pretty fast. But goodness it’s gotten so much more expensive 🥹 I just can’t justify it!
@@FromHisBountifulBlessings Yeah over the counter stuff, and from the regular butcher it's more than in a supermarket!
Oh wow yeah the kids are definitely fed
Well, we do feed 5 kids 3 meals and 2 snacks a day ;-)
You know what Amanda? The typical breakfast and lunch in my country (Belgium, EU) is just a sandwich with some spread. In the morning with something like nutella or jam or PB&J and noon time with some deli meat or cheese slices. Very typical. We don't even understand pancakes for breakfast, that is a typical 4PM food with some coffee. Dessert food. Make it easy on yourself. Cereal for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch. Grilled cheeses can be a luxury! Honest. LOL ;)
Isn’t it so funny how different things are?! I love reading about it. ♥️
Our Aldi does pasta sauce, the regular. But a couple weeks ago I found out they do a cheese sauce for pasta. They might have it in the US as well. It is a 4-cheese sauce and it is amazing on macaroni! We spread some grated mozarella over it. Delicious. Worth checking out to see if they have it.
That would be good for the kids & dad! Emilynn and I don’t eat cheese! :-)
@@FromHisBountifulBlessings They have a regular carbonara I found out today. It's between those 2, that's all the choice that was in the cartons. But everyone grabs the 4 cheeses... fast! I mean, no wonder, it's a good one. It's not a heavy sauce but it's very tasty. Over here they're from the brand Palazzo.
never seen it but wi;l be on the watch.
Goodness... already halfway through your pregnancy. 🤯 Time goes by so fast these days.
I know!!!! It is so crazy to me!
I am with you on eating out! I cook for a living and after a long day cooking for everyone else I dont want to cook anything when I get home! Sometimes it is just a sandwich and soup or I always have fast premade meals but takeout is the easiest! My days off, I usually do lunch with my sister 1 day and then try to cook supper and my last day off but doesn't always happen. I am single so I can't even imagine cooking for 7 but then again it would be easier then cooking for 1, I don't like leftovers. I am glad I found your channel!
I totally get it! When I cooked professionally i felt the same way!!! It’s sooooo hard!
In the EU chickens in those very tight coops are no longer allowed. All our eggs are pasture raised. Half a dozen at my Aldi was, regular price €1.99, always. Recently it went up to €2.79 which is a lot, but they came back down in price about a week ago.
Lol! I hear ya on that! I like to eat out too 😀 That’s also one of our goals this year-minimize our eating out to special occasions/date nights.
Its def a guilty pleasure for sure! But with our budget we have to change that!
us too maybe once a month there is only 2 of us but I just hate going out for s finner cost is high and 90% of time the food is nit that good. But I do like a break from cooking at 77. lol
We need to eat at home more but I don’t like cooking and cleaning!
I totally relate!
Heyyy and happy Tuesday love your haul ❤
