We trained our dog when she was a puppy... every day and she had her routine, she'd go out and poop in the bushes or on grass or leaves off the main path. Now she's an adult dog, when she needs to go, not only will she run away from us to do her business, she also goes off into the bushes. We live in country so it's not a problem like it would be in built-up areas anyway, but nonetheless it's still very helpful behaviour and those times she's somewhere built-up will look for an appropriate place usually out of sight. Should add not a Shiba but could be trainable still I would guess?
You are doing a great job with him. He is a handsome and responsive boy. We should need to take a page from your book - but also struggling with covid and work schedules and yucky ongoing winter here near Ottawa.

Loved this video! Our puppy is almost the same stage as Aoki and we'd love to do this type of socialisation too. Was wondering would you bring any cleaning supplies with you in case he needs to potty again next time or ask the employee? Thanks!

I cant seem to find much about grooming with Shiba's. I notice some owners let them have a fluffy look compared to the shorter style.

I found out that the amount and frequency of shedding varies from one pup to another. I know Shiba inus who have not shed yet this summer. Others like Aoki who had several rounds of shedding…it really depends and is case by case. I make sure I comb him at least once a week :) and that it (for now) hehe

How did you get him used to / like his jacket?
He hated his jacket at first but I persisted and made him wear it every time we went out - especially when it snowed! I rewarded him and praised him every time I put it on him 🙃
