I love the conversation about the Asian stereotype vs the Black stereotype. The reason why they were cautious with Nymphia and not the Black culture one is because AAVE is not ours, it is "youth culture" we don't own it when they take it from us. I say this as a Black woman who grew up the 90s. Ive seen the shift and see it every day when yt and OTHERS imitate us but act like Christopher Columbus...they think the way WE Black ppl and our culture is theirs because they don't have their own. SO? When you have another culture they do not own or want to own (yea we got white girls inte nail shop but they imitating US!) doing something and it is not Black derived then they acknowledge that its different---yet they steal from and don't care when its us because they think they own it. (sorry for the typos..i just got my nails done and I am feeling my new set lol)

If they would have engaged in the Asian stereotype with Nymphia then it would have been MANY of Asian countries being in Rupaul's a$$ with the boycotts etc.. That's why they were PC with Nymphia...yet Rupaul is Black...she allows it but its because we are the culture...if it weren't the "in" thing to do..Rupaul woulda did the same...money is green and Black people ain't that united like that. We love Rupaul...but you guys are right to call it out but see the nuance and the optics of it all.
