I understand things are different over there I live in the mountains in Northern California near the ocean. Even ways here are different than in the city. Dung's father should be ashamed, what the neighbors gossip is more important than his own daughter ( his own flesh and blood). I'm an asian woman and my parents don't have this mentality as Dung's father. Dung father is a weak man has no backbone!! Dung's mother, Dung will always be your daughter no matter what. Dung is not lucky that her husband is cheating, this is not her fault.

I get the impression from other channels that this is Vietnamese culture. They don't hold back giving their opinion to anyone and communities are very close knit. It's important to have respect in the community.
The father is a horrible father, Dung’s husband abandoned her for another woman and Dungs father seems to blame her for it and expects her to remain with her husbands mother and take care of her? A man should care more about his daughter sleeping in a park or not being able to pay rent because of an unstable job situation rather than what the neighbors will say, the neighbors probably talk about you anyway they are probably not even your friends, the father should care more about his daughters welfare and how she is living, something could happen to her out there on her own like that, hopefully her boss is a good person but what if he wasn’t her dad should think about and love his daughter more. Now she’s suppose to live in a garden like a pet or something, this is all so crazy. If I were Dung I would take huong’s offer to live with her and Nahu and get LamBo and Luna and have a happy life. It’s better than living in a garden, where the hell is she suppose to sleep and bathe and use the bathroom? Like I said this is crazy.
This is good for Dung. I was worried that her new boss might want to get to know her much better. Dung told him her husband had left and she lives in her own. I was a little concerned for Dung. Now she has more choices: make a new livelihood close to her parents or live with Huong and get a job in that area.🌹It's a lot to take in for Dung.
