Nice beefy fish! The ranger there is awesome, he was telling me about watching pelicans swallow 3 pounders whole! Shore access on the north shore is tough, trails are very overgrown the last time I went. Shore access on the south shore is better but you need to park in a rough dirt lot.
We are going to be putting together an organized trip in the very near future stay tuned on that. Will be having a trip to probably Big Bear, Silverwood,Eastern Sierra and Utah.
Get a boat ...park in front of crappie rock... Park 100 ft off shore..cast so your bait is 75 ft-50ft off shore. another good spot is just passed the buoy line near the boat dock ramp area on the right. So be close to the bouy line ending. I was using corn powerbait which is pretty bright green and white mice tails. Anything bright will do though. Lot of scent.. garlic. I was using a 2ft leader line.
@@carlmills5956 if you are wheelchair but have somebody to help you along Juniper point is a very good option. You will probably have to wait for them to open the gate so you could park in the parking lot otherwise right now and you would have to park on the street and there's a difficult narrow spot to overcome with a wheelchair. With the gate open you could use the wheelchair to get down the paved trail all the way till the trail turns to a dirt trail but remained pretty stable and flat to the shoreline where you could then fish no problem. The shore is pretty flat an easygoing in that area
LOL on bite #2, Sophia's aww.... Crazy how the SD lakes don't allow C&R. Sophia's going to be the star of your channel before you know it.
I'm with you on the C&R. If you're willing to fish barbless with lures or flies you should be able to let fish go. I mean "why not?"
Dude! She would take over!
Huck WYA.... Let's to BBL tomorrow
@@xo200855 I'll be working tomorrow
Bummer...next time buddy
Try trolling I use Rapala cd1s 2s and 3s I catch a lot of the calaveras trout
Decent size trout. Darker jigs should work with the water being that stained. Your next report should be lake cuyamaca.
It's in the works
Sweet catch , healthy looking trout , I gotta hit that place up soon
It's worth checking out!
