Well, this at 7am is a good start to the day!
It's great to see how you make your stuff sound so bloody good.
I went to the DX section of Reaper for the wah/flanger style effects and its empty, so I did a quick search and all I could find is that the x64 version of Windows doesn't have this particular section.
I guess I'll just have to buy ye old faithful Cry Baby. Again. 😁
Cheers Church a few people have said this about the DX section, maybe it's a recent change. Scared to update now!

I've literally just found wah and flanger in the JS section, but I don't have the time to try them out right now.

WOW, impressive!!! One bad ass sound and it's god damn better than much of the new material coming out from the biggest artist (my opinion).
I am mixing and recording myself, used Reaper for 10 years now, like your setup and how you've organized everything.
The thing that impressed me the most was how "simple" your processing was, you're doing only what it takes and nothing more. Gave some inspiration to keep my processing at a minumum and start with some good recordings and dial what's necessary :D

Very nice! I recently started recording myself and I wonder do you track with ampsims already? what latency do you have? I`ve been talking to some pals, they say the latency of more than 2 ms is unacceptable but my computer and interface can`t do that. I did some recordings many years ago when ampsims were not that great, I used a tube preamp and DIrect monitoring on audio interface but now I want to use ampsims for more flexibility
I get 4ms of latency which is perfectly fine honestly, with all plugins on. Anything up to 8 is unnoticeable and usable. Getting up to 10 12ms you'll start to notice it. If your interface or pc needs an upgrade, go for it!

The DX plug-ins must have come with another program, they're not native to REAPER. Maybe Sound Forge or Vegas?
True. There is an existing folder for DX plug-ins but it is empty.

Have you ever tried to make metal in FL Studio Mobile? That's what I'm currently using. I've gotten some mixed results, but I'm also not using a midi controller. Doing everything by hand is a real headache.

@@resington all the music on my channel was made that way except for my first song. I've got a few metal songs that I'm still struggling to finish because of how difficult it is to do well.
