My portfolio for the past 30 years has always been self managed and I own 3 shares of Berkshire Hathaway Class A stock (BRK:A) which I bought in at about $17,000 during the mid 90s, I'm currently liquidating some of these positions to incoporate new Gen. Stocks, but am I better off re-investing into Gold as it seems stocks are a little too unstable right now.

The most popular investment portfolio strategies include diversification, where you spread investments across different asset classes to manage risk. Another is the growth strategy, focused on capital appreciation through high-risk, high-reward assets. Income-oriented strategies target regular income from dividend stocks or bonds. Finally, there's the value strategy, seeking undervalued assets for potential long-term gains.

Akshat, your calculations are way off. You have assumed the increase in monthly deposits, will take care of the inflation. Thats a very small Portion of the total future value. You need to consider the inflation effect on the earned interest as well. For 30 years, I would actually devide the total future value by 5-6 to get the present value(as per the rule of 72). Hence, the 8 crores after 30 years is actually worth about 1.5-1.7 crores in present value. This is a big error in your today's video.

Just buy low sell high. Stick with a good company by either not selling when it's going lower and/or buying more at that time. Almost always the good well managed companies will come back strong at some point. The other is to get yourself a financial-advisor that can provide you with entry and exit points on the shares/ETF you focus on.

Well, basically times are uncertain, the market is out of control, and banks are gradually failing. @Akshat- Can you please tell me which Fund offers INDEX Funds for PSU Bank? I don't see any funds offering this. I can see NIFTY BANK index Fund but not PSU Bank funds. I have invested my money in all the INDEX Funds available with any/all Fund houses except NIFTY Pharma as I don't have conviction on this. But I do want to invest in NIFTY PSU Bank Fund but couldn't Fund anything on this. Please advise.

I really like your videos and your approach of showing the true picture and not just harp on the growth stories everyone has been saying these days without understanding the motivation behind those claims.
Anyway though that might have seemed like a pick up line :) i genuinely meant it other than seeking your advise in general terms. I have no family of my own nor intend to have one except my parents, almost all my savings is for retirement. i have a horizon of at least 10 years . In that case is it okay to keep 35% in Large Cap MF, 25% in Medium, 25% in Small and 15% in NASDAQ Index MF. My objective is to retire by 55.
I have always been looking for a advisor like you around the place i stay but cannot find any

when you are investing in index, you are implicitly buying large cap companies. Nifty 50 comprises of large cap stocks. Doing both index and large cap isn't concentrating on large cap?
