In this movie review, we discuss the highs and lows of Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone.
Maybe if they had promoted the commander manas character as the main villain instead of Kamal Hassan , it would’ve had a better closure….just like in avengers, we know that thanos is the ultimate villain, but for that movie, it’s Loki.

Exactly brother... This is the genuine and true Response..it abruptly ended ..first half was too unnecessary slow pace..(But World building was great..) Except Amitabh and Prabhas Fight, remaining fights are useless..War was tooooo little...I am shocked why Karna came into the story..still confused even now..there is no link between Kalki and Karna..to elevate karna Arjuna was made lesser..
Part 1 is not slow or lag. Just part of story building exercise. As told in ‘badshah’ movie. What fun is there if you go straight to action. Got to build trauma first. Then go for counter

I actually felt the opposite about the first half. I really enjoyed the world building and slow character build of Prabhas. Maybe because I haven't seen him in a fun role in a looooong time. I enjoyed the comedy scenes. Secondly, I think the Disha Patani sequence was important. We keep hearing Prabhas telling that going to complex is his life goal. So, to actually experience it (and also show audience that world parallely) just for short time would make him to do whatever again to go back. It sets up his desire to go to the complex even more deeply.

1. Dialogue delivery : most of the drama has been deviated with improper dialogue delivery or modulation
2. One cameo which should have become heart of the conflict became comedy and meme material.... is it intentional to highlight one they have preferred specific artist?
Definitely flawless movie aithe kadhu, emotional connect aithe absolutely zero, fights kuda anthe, execution baledhu, but understandable, given Nag Ashwin ki idhe first time, but Mahanati lo unna emotions Kalki lo assalu ledhu, thats really surprising.
First half aithe picha lag, world building anandi, inkedhaina anandi, but first half aithe chala flat ga undhi. Shambala, Complex, Kashi, veetilo okkatini kuda sarigga establish cheyyala
But movie still works, thanks to the performances and stunning visuals, first half and emotions correct ga padi unte, vere level ee

There's a lot to takeout from the movie and feel proud and happy about it. Don't watch the movie just to review it. Watch it like a common audience and feek like what we felt. Its just out of the world. You don't get to see this kinda movies again and again.

Review is basically what you felt while watching it and not an after thought or hind sight analysis. The problem with most of the reviewers is that they behave like critics instead of reviewers and sit and dissect the movie rather than talking about the experience of watching it. Normal public would like to know the overall movie experience rather than the logical, technical, and other critical aspects of the movie. What we need is the answer to 'Did you enjoy the cameos?', 'Did u leave the theater in a high?', etc. We do not bother regarding 'Did the cameos took the story forward', or ,'Is the villain's character justified' and so on. If you want to discuss those, call it a critical analysis and not a review.
I think this is one of your worst reviews. It seems like you may have been influenced Telugu Cinema hater and your boss Baradwaj Rangan garu. Just asking, how can you watch a movie saying that I'm already waiting for the conflict to start, cricket lo cheppinatlu, let the ball come and you don't go chasing the ball. So you should let the story and screenplay come to you rather force it to happen because you are impatient. The movie is made for everyone, love lo vunnappudu romance ela thondara thondara vundadho, alane ikkada kuda ela aavishkaritharane chudali Thapar, enduku aa thondarapatu. I am not disagreeing with you that there are as aspects that could have been better, but I wouldn't characterize it as fake or cheap, all cameos were very good and appropriate, esp Rajamouli with every dialogue was just hilarious. Nuvvu edho exam ki prepare avuthu lecture vinadaniki vellinatlundi, cinemani experience cheyyadaniki vellinatlu ledu.

It's a pure Action packed comedy entertainer...! Kalki and Kali main characters purpose didn't conveyed at all...!! Nag Ashwin concentrated on goosebumps elevations only... Not on Actual kalki story....!!

Wish they kept the Kamal Hassan role for part 2 and just gave a reveal at the end of the film instead of putting him in promos and that 1 scene in first half.
Nag Ashwin visualized a wondrous film and was successful in presenting his vision on screen for most of the parts. There were a few flaws, but how he handled the interconnect between Extreme Future and the Epic Mahabharat was fantastic. Eagerly waiting for the sequel

Kalki Movie is nice. First of half is littile lag. But Movie is nice. Amitabh Bachhan's action and VFX is top notch. Prabhas acting is very good. Kamal Hassan's 5 minutes appearance is also very good. Paisa Vasool. Better than many hindi movies. Go and enjoy in big screen. Make use of Money in viewing of good movies like Kalki
