Honestly, the price isn’t bad for turnkey. Most people have no clue on every little thing that you have to do to these cars. To make them competitive and safe it’s a lot more work than I would ever do honestly
I don’t see anyone paying $325K for a chassis as used as this one when you can build an entirely new car for less than another $100K. $150K for a roller makes more sense but that is still on the high side. Cameron Johnson said a new chassis was $200K not $250. A chassis could get close to $250K if titanium was used wherever possible.
@SterlingHayden-xg4uh horseshit, there used to be over 50 cars at every race including the futures class of guys just trying to make the invitational. Now they can't even come up with a 32 car field and most races last season only had 20 - 24 cars show up.. it's dead , it's over and if it does come back for another season it'll only be a shadow of what it once was.. building a new car right now is incredibly stupid because npk is following the outlaw 10.5 model of non-existence.
@petemcpeterson6205 a new season is already scheduled. Just because people sell cars doesn't mean they are done. People sell cars and already have new ones around the corner. Is it booming like it use to be? No! But it's not done yet.
@@SterlingHayden-xg4uh I went to 4 races last season with my son . The biggest crowd out of all of them was at firebird and maybe the stands were 50% full some of the others were closer to 40% . That's not enough money to keep it going . It's probably barely enough to break even . When the discovery money went away npk died. It's just gasping its last breath now.
Think alot of them know no prep is over for npk. Time to move on to other race series. For the amount to just travel the country and 90 percent have no chance of winning, just upgrade and he has another car promod

It’s a nice car!!! The motor is 120 grand alone you can’t build this for 300

No ones "getting into" npk, there's only people leaving . There's no getting around the fact that its going away at this point.
No true there a few new people coming in. Some are selling because they have new cars
