I am so relieved that I finally got my charter. This exam is a beast and will really test your inner drive and willpower. Good luck to all the candidates, give it all you got and you will pass for sure!!!
How much do you feel CFA will affect your potential income? I feel like I'm always chasing a way to be competitive and it's rarely paid off. (Got 770 in GMAT, but wasn't convinced MBA where I could get in with my mediocre GPA was worth the price/2 years). Is the CFA a slam dunk investment in time? Do you think you got more money than the time you lost and do you think that was a lucky or average result?
Hi AJ , preparing for L3 . Can I wear slippers with the tuxedo ....😅😅😅😅 .... In any case great stuff and your advise about "memorizing formulas" was the difference maker for me for L2 .....
Hey AJ, i am writing the level 1 exam on feb 18, i have finished all the readings a except except for some econ readings, i have written 3k practice questions averaged 77%, going to start the mock exams, I failed in my first attempt on nov 2021, this time i have bought Mark Meldrum course, which turned out to be very useful,I just want to know how likely I am to pass or any other advice would be very much appreciated!! little bit stressed right now because I don't want to fail this time.
Hey Ram, 77% on practice questions is very encouraging. Just make sure to also practice with the CFA BB and EOCs! You will have a good chance of passing.
What was your motivation for obtaining the CFA? I currently work a back office finance job that I like. My only motivation is using the CFA for more earning potential, and seeing it as a personal challenge. Couldn't care less about the actual material or work it would get me into. Is this something youd reccomend
Hello AJ hope all is well! One question did you use Kaplan or Wiley as a study prep because if I remember correctly I heard you saying in previous videos that you uses Kaplan. Your response would be greatly appreciated!
Hey AJ, I’m studying for Level 1 now planning to sit in August. Just wondering if there were any topics you struggled with when studying and what you did to break through? Some of this probability stuff just isn’t sticking for me!
Hi AJ, I have recently discovered your channel and want to thank you for your content. It really helps! 🙌 I am planning to write Level I for the 1st time in August 2023 and start preparing from February. So I have about 6 months to study and 1 last month to do mock tests. Can you give us more insight about study strategy? I also plan study sessions each day of the week, but as 6 months is quite a long time, we also need to review materials as we progress. How can we schedule reviews?
Hi AJ, I am curious to ask you, did you study EOS and Blue boxes from CFA Institute during studying a part like Economics, or after the completing all of the chapters of each book? Thanks for answer 😊
I think they are extremely important. They ask questions in a very complete (and difficult) way. Harder than real exam questions in many cases. So they give you great practice at being able to answer questions that could be asked in different ways.
I have my exam this coming May 2023 and I have only finished Quantative methods, what would you advise for myself. I am an econ and applied maths graduate with no knowledge to finance or accounting.
You did not talk about the remembering that how could we retain all of the info of the cfa syllabus before the exam That's very difficult to do. Any tip you wanna give? .
Try to do a highlevel company valuation by yourself, that usually helps with retaining the info. There is a multitude on valuation tutorials online. And most of the data needed to perform a company analysis can be found online.
plz can u link courses or study material for me and also do u have a study plan or recommend one and is there a free trail course that can show me how hard cfa is ty :)
Hey AJ, I started preparing for lvl 1 exam in the first week of January, studying 4 hours a day, I'm planning to give the May attempt. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated!
@@A_cat_aspirant can't measure it out..but mostly numericals is quantitative methods.. although all subjects have their own formulas 😂..my head is breaking down 😭😂
I have one question. My exam will be in May and now I am only just finished around 25% of all the curriculum. I am not sure if I will be able to make it in time
I have the exam on feb 15, I am on 40%, dw you will be fine, consistency is key, haha. What i would say make sure to do as many questions and understand the intuition behind them.
Hi, AJ! Do you liketo pay for being CFA charter? I mean dues paying charter, maybe it's provokative question but i can't understand it. My humble opinion about CFA level 1, it's very important reading curriculum because you need strong base for comprehensive that material if you understood it by your bottom heart it woud easy prepare for level 2 and 3.
I have mark meldrum and I’m studying for level 1. Gotta be honest, I don’t like his material. I always have to go back and read through CFA material to fully understand. Leaving me wondering why I even watch his videos. He teaches as if the average IQ of his audience is 160.
I take pride in when I passed level 1 it was a 26% pass rate.
Which year bro?
@@ishmamfaiyaj6661 Probably 2021. There was a move to CBT as far as I can tell, and the pass rates were extremely low early on during that transition.

After completing all of the video lessons or study notes from Wiley.
Hi AJ, preparing for the level 1. What kind of strategy did you use for revision of a chapter or a subject, other than the formula revision.
Only revision happened during mock exams.
What do you think about BB questions and their importance?

Hey AJ! Kinda stupid question, but can you please remind where I can find EOC and Blue Box questions? Thanks!
They are all in the CFA curriculum.
check the textbooks. BB are embedded through the chapter and the EOC are of course at the end of each chapter.
I'm only on wiley level 1, are the assessment quizzes and test bank questions similar in difficulty to the exam? Less or more difficult?
