The Singer is a competition in China. Jessie J is also a competitor. KZ won in this particular episode but Jessie J won overall. You will be surprised at what KZ can do. My absolute favourite performance of hers is Feeling Good collab with Jaya. They did Nina Simone proud in that cover. All her other performances in The Singer are great. She rapped in English Royals but her best performance in that competition I think is Say Something. Speaking of rap, you need to see EZ Mil. His Panalo Wish Bus version is awesome. Thank you as always for bringing more artists to your channel. 🇵🇭

This is a singing competition from China. This is the same singing competition that introduced Dimash to the world the year before. Jessie J was a participent in the competition as well.
KZ is a force of nature. She does all her own arranging, just like this song. If you listen to the 'Bus' version now you might be let down a little because she has made it such a big production number. She can go very quiet and still be just as impactful as you will see, and hear, when you listen to the rest of her efforts in this competition. KZ is a tiny thing too. So much power and control at the same time that she pretty much steals your heart with every performance. Enjoy the ride.
I got that feeling with a lot of this performance and I am looking forward to watching a lot more of her videos. She certainly is an incredible singer who can also rap. Thats a big thumbs up in my books :)
KZ is a PERFORMER.......and at 4' 9"" you'll find few that show a bigger stage presence than her. This is a competition they have every year in China....and invite artists from different Countries.... Jessi J is one of the competitors. I think KZ won that year. She also sang the Lorde's song..that was a hit.
It is definitely a competition I want to look at more performances from because what I have seen so far has been incredible.
Jesse J is one of KZ's idols. And, KZ gets to meet her for the first time just before the performance. Watch until the end when they take a photo together and they show KZ is wearing really high heels (about 4 inches) and only comes to JJ's armpit. What power in such a small package. It is competition but not in the Philippines, It was in China and when I was in HK. I am now retired in the country and of them many in our country, she is my best bet. She has her International release, too . She has her originals like Quicksand and I am Afraid" which was used in her first movie.

Glad you enjoyed it. KZ can sing well in English but promotes OPM (Original Pilipino Music) so most of her originals are in Filipino/Tagalog.
She did an interview and performed for BBC Radio London years ago and the DJs really enjoyed that one.

I need to do some more research on this competition. I bet there has been some incredible performances there.
It should be a winning performance and all her covers from the same China contest. It was Jessie Jay who won and who won against an established performer as she? Many reactions and I still believe it should be KZ. Her rap is in "Tagalog" our native tongue. It is appropriate because it speaks of the mistake of one who played her as she is ready for it and wiser from the experience.

Jessie is the champion on that competition for that year,, dimash and soyhang also joined that competition ahead of them and dimash is the champion too

I really did like this performance from her and looking forward to doing more so this audition video is a great place to start.
@@Dazza010 The audition was really good and the judges (4 of the top singers in The Philippines) were stunned at how good KZ was. It is mostly in Tagalog with some English words, so you can follow the general trend of the conversation but not the exact meanings. By the way, they did have KZ do a second song, so watch all the way to the end. Some reactors cut away before the second song and that was the better of the two. That was the only season of the X Factor Philippines, so KZ is still the reigning X Factor Philippines champion. Some of her performances on that show are still available on UA-cam though at a poor resolution.
