I was on Suboxone for over decade, I transitioned to sublocade for six months, I had my first clean urine in Jan 2021, I’ve been sober ever since which I never thought was possible. I was barely sick, I struggled with mild anxiety and strong emotions but that passed. Sublocade gave me back my life, please try it people.

It’s miracle, it removes the physical sickness portion of addiction, rest is mental health and basics like people and places. If you want to be sober there is a way, I have found few people want that though. It’s still discouraging as I try to get friends and family to do it, they are not ready I suppose

After being on suboxone for 10 plus years (starting at 24mg) and after weaning down to 2 mg; I successfully got off Bup using one shot of 300mg sublocade. I was in shock at the success, it takes time for the anxiety to wear off with respect to the assumption that you're waiting for withdrawal symptoms to develop at some point and they simply never did. It makes me extremely happy that others will benefit from this procedure as I have. Thank you for sharing this information, it's important to get the success stories out there like several of us who have commented. I'm now 12 months past my shot and couldn't imagine feeling any better! I'm me again!

I no longer feel as if I'm imprisoned in my own body, chained to a medication allowing me to be a contributing member of society. That's the primary success I feel. The second would be that I no longer experience the early AM wake ups in withdrawal awaiting my next daily dose, I forgot what it feels like for over a decade to "sleep in". The third biggest impact in my life was the anxiety associated with traveling, being away from home (I travel often for work) and having something happen to my medication; this has happened on more than one occasion and as you can imagine turns into a nightmare real quick. I never intended on incurring a dependency/addiction to opiates, this all came to fruition after three back-to-back-to-back shoulder surgeries. I was on a trajectory of success for most of my life until this derailed me. So what do I ultimately feel better about now? That my path to success is re-established and that I've worked overtime on making up for lost time. If you would've asked me prior to sublocade if I felt I had any chance of getting off of Bup, I would've said no. Similar to your epiphany of how effective this can be, I believe we're all having that similar epiphany both patient and provider alike. I was fortunate to have had a very progressive provider, willing to look at all of the data and take a chance on something different. That willingness is what saved my life and I couldn't be happier with the end result.

I’m on Sublocade, got my last shot several days ago, only did two total (all I could afford or want) and I’m so excited to hit month 5 or 6 when the emotions and endorphins start coming back. Thank you for making this video, more doctors need to be talking about this. The doctors down here in the south tend to not believe in it, I had to hunt down a provider.
Some context - I did 300/100 spaced 6 weeks apart.
I’m 29 years old, male, was on Suboxone daily for almost 8 years, and never relapsed - but have been ready to get off for a couple years now. The 2mg wall is what kept getting me. I finally was able to find this. I had to spend 4500 because I didn’t have insurance and didn’t want to wait until next year. Had absolutely no wd between the 6 weeks. Also I was on 6mg of Suboxone before switching.
Thank you again for putting this out there, many still can’t believe it.

How in the world after the shot wears off after the second 30 days is that going to be any less cruel (to the habituated body) than just plain stopping the Subutex or the Suboxone?
I mean, maybe it does wear off very gradually even after 30 days, but just another 30 days and the doses will just be microdoses if they are left over from the shot that was administered six weeks ago and another follow up shot was not given.
That’s just not going to be any better than doing 2 mg a day for two or three months and then quitting entirely -see what I’m saying?

Jeezus - I had no idea this existed!! I literally just found out yesterday about how Bup messes up your teeth! I've been on it for 13 years, 20mg a day, and this past year I've lost 3 molars on the bottom & majority of my remaining teeth are loose! I could not figure out why this was happening until I met with a Dr who was filling in for mine & told me I needed to rinse after every dose - Ive never heard this before. I need to have all of my bottom teeth replaced (or live on oatmeal) which is like $25K!!
Anyway - I have entertained tapering now for years but am always too anxious to pull the trigger. This sounds like a miracle - which is what Sub was for me when I found it, so I believe this is possible. But again, I've never had a doctor even mention this to me as an option!! Posted comments before but it’s been 15 months since last shot. It does work. I did have a rough spell from may to around now. Wicked insomnia. The last week I’ve finally started to sleep again. Was told I’m nuts at the place and no one has done it yet. I said yes but I truly don’t want this anymore and am only physically addicted. But I know it’s out now. No bumps, sex drive has been back for a while and I go to bathroom once or twice a day when I used to be on the bathroom floor from only going once a week. Might be rough for a period of time but it’s not even close to the withdrawal we all know. Feel like a theme I notice is insomnia is the withdrawal on this for people. Always dealt with bone pain, anxiety, depression, rsl and insomnia. This time it was insomnia with some jerky legs but that was the only symptom at least and noticed that a lot with others too.

I didn't even know this existed till my methadone doctor told me! I've been on methadone for 8 years and I'm currently pregnant. I'm going into an impatient to get switch to Suboxone because it will be better for me and the baby and it'll be easier for me to detox from the Suboxone after I have him and then I found out they have these shots and I'm so happy that I can use this and have maybe six months worth of shots and be free! I was addicted to Vicodin years ago. I had 2 herniated discs in my neck. I only took it as prescribed, but had a hard time getting off of it after my surgery. I was placed on Suboxone and have been on it for 15 years. It has destroyed my teeth, but have been so afraid of the withdrawals again. My insurance wouldn’t cover Sublocade when it first came out, but it does now. I did my first dose of 300 and have had 3 at 100. The thought of just stopping scares the crap out of me. My doctor has explained that it basically tapers you off of it by just stopping the Sublocade.
He said I can go to 75, 50 and 25 if I want, but he hasn’t done that for any of his patients. So, you suggest just stopping? No taper needed even for us that have been on Suboxone for years.
Also, I had no problems going from Suboxone to Sublocade and no issues going from 300 to 100. In fact, it has been awesome. It is such a relief not having to worry about taking something.

I was planning on getting off with or without the shot I just feel like Im cheating myself and can't have the life I deserve if I stay on Suboxone any longer. It's been close to 7 years and that's 7 years too long. This sublocade definitely is sounding like a sign from above and I just found out about this today and then found this video and comments and extremely grateful and hopeful for myself and others as well. You can do this we can do this humans are capable of so much. So many things that were considered impossible 50 years ago and 100 years ago are no possible and getting off of this is something that is more then possible let's do this.

Same here, I've been on Suboxone ten years 16mg and I would break them into pieces and take them through the day. I got sick of being dependent and got the shot but my addictive mind is my worst enemy. It's hard adjusting to not taking the medication everyday and getting that boost. They gave me a 7 day supply on 2- 4mg a day and I can't help but battle myself on wanting to take it all day. It's a tough habit to break out of. Know you are not alone and absolutely just give the shot a try. It's worth it and if it doesn't work just keep in mind make sure you find a good compassionate doctor that will be understanding and work with you. My first doctor was all about the money. If I didn't have 150$ every 3 weeks I would be screwed till I found a way to get it. Find a doctor that doesn't work that way and will take your insurance and see you once a month

Probably going to get three or four more 100 mg shots before I'm done but I am already so thankful for it so so thankful. And I was only on 35 to 40 mg of methadone most of the time. Milligrams of methadone I was still it was severely impacting me I was getting way way too high off it. 15+ yrs on subs. Here’s my experience. Started subs in 08-09, Doc said might have to be on for life, was a miracle at the beginning, that first couple years I know I would have gone back. Tried several times to taper, got very very close below 1mg. One time to .25mg. But after feeling like shit for months it was hard to keep going. Then couple accidents, had to take high dose sub and or pain meds which really set me back. Was on about 16mg strips.
Started 300 shot august 7 2023. First two weeks were great, then got withdrawals. Next shot (300) in sept. Felt like crap and I believe it was from too much sub in my system, exercise did nothing to help. I assumed it was lack of sub at the time, but looking back now it was too much. Went two months to November for the 100 shot. First two weeks fine, then needed to supplement. Next month doc gave half a 300 shot and it worked pretty well. Then 100 shot. The next two 100 shots were spread out 7 weeks mostly due to insurance not covering, had to supplement with strips in between, and still had some strong withdrawals over that time. Made a plan with doc to do 3-4 more 100 shots on schedule monthly. May 16, June 16, last shot july 17! Supplemented May and June 2mg every 4 days, probably did not need it. A little over a month after last shot I got some withdrawals that lasted a week, some anxiety, felt cold a lot and used exercise to combat feeling rough. Some light withdrawals come and go since then, but not too bad. As we all know any level of w/d is not easy though. I’m very active which helps, running or hiking daily helps a lot and have a very fast metabolism. Been 80 days now and seems like its getting easier, so far it’s like a miracle and I would highly recommend getting on the shot.

It's true, sublocade is a miracle when you're ready to come off suboxone/Tex. Unfortunately it's expensive if you don't have insurance that covers it. The only thing that scares me is once you take the shot, there's no going back, and if you get hurt (like a car accident, for example), you can't come off of it in order for pain meds to work. I had a friend in recovery who had 1 single 100mg shot and 3 whole months later he tried to to get high, and no matter how much illicit opioids he did it didn't make a difference at all.

I've been on 24mg to 16mg of Suboxone a day for 16 years ( or whenever it came out ) and never had a dirty screen or thought about it..I just received my 1st 300mg shot of Sublucade yesterday.. I was" bouncing " off the walls last evening & didn't sleep much but today I feel fine..Ive developed an allergic reaction to the Noloxone about three years in ( my palms stay dry & cracked & have to use sanding block & constant lotion) so I had to get off the subs..At 66 years old I guess it's time to try Sublucade..I'm reading positive results..Thanks

This is true. I got myself down to a half of a pill of suboxone than I got the injection 1 time only and I had no withdrawals . it was very easy for me ! BUT the doctor injected the medicine inside of a scar that I had surgery on, and that gave and an infection. I was like on 5 different antibiotics because of it . But it definitely helped me to get off the Suboxone.

I was about to comment saying how is using buprenorphine going to get you off buprenorphine but then I looked into the ROA of sublocade. It makes sense now physically you can taper the dose and then mentally you break the daily or twice daily habit of taking a dose. Fair enough, I see a lot of garbage information about MAT and thought this was another but this actually makes sense.

I’m down to 2mg doing it on my own no Doctor my past 2 in 10 years always talked me out of tapering . I’ve been clean for over 10 years have a beautiful family great husband great job beautiful home when would be a good time. So you’re not even enthusiastic about doing it because you know your doctor doesn’t even want you to be clean and sober for good . hitting a wall and now looking more at sublucade. Any chance you know of any Doctors around the Philadelphia area that actually are in it to help?

If sublocasde can be found in the system for up to 175- 300 days, then would one begin to withdrawl after several months after there last shot? Im asking because i currently take suboxone and would like to cover all the bases of sublocade before switching

    • @MainelyW212
      @MainelyW212 7 місяців тому

From what I’ve read ** the manufacturer says that you can go as long as 44 days before symptoms of withdrawal could potentially arise. But it’ll all be dependent on what you’re taking daily of Suboxone now and the strength of the doses you are given by the provider.

Soo this is what I just did, I was only on 4mg a day, and doctor suggested I take the 100mg shot instead of the 300mg. I am soo glad , because even when I got the 100mg , I was "high" like I hadn't been in years , but it only lasted for about 2 days, then it leveled off. Now I am 3 weeks in and soo far I just feel normal, scheduled to go back and get another 100mg in a week, but I am not sure if I should go get it or I should just try to stop altogether. The doctor said even with this 1 100mg shot , it would slowly taper out for like a year.
