Two funny men Bobby is sadly missed RIP. Tommy you rock on that's what Bobby would want u 2 do, always thought you as a teem were brilliant I've been going through these old clips having a good belly laugh. With this Covid on the go that's what we all need. From me big thank you
I bought the DVDs of their show last week and have been watching them. I'm amazed how many lines they had that we kids of the 80s just started using on a daily basis. "You're ment'l you are!" And stuff like that just wove in to our language back then. That shows how influential they were.
CANNON AND BALL AT FUTURIST THEATRE SCARBOROUGH PRICELESS FANTASTIC. RIP BOBBY BALL THANKS FOR THE LAUGHS MEMORIES WILL LIVE ON. CONDOLENCES TO TOMMY CANNON STAY STRONG ROCK ON
I went to Blackpool for a holiday with my partner in 2019, at first, I didn't like the place, too brash for me...........BUT......I fell in love with the place, the people there were absolutely lovely, we had a service dog, every place we went to, from Funny Girls to the piers to the tower, no problem at all....I've been to many countries around the world, but in my twilight years, I want to spend them in the north of England...
I was lucky to see C&B at the North Pier in Blackpool in the summer of 1980. I never laughed so much as I did that night. Will be making a donation to the appeal to raise £100k for a bronze statue of Bobby in Lytham where he lived for many years.
1 of the best double acts. That story bobby says at the end sounds true, my dad and a coach load of his workmates went to see cannon and ball live in the 80,s and he told me 1 of the guys had to leave the theatre he was laughing so much he fainted. cannon and ball were MASSIVE in the 80,s and hilariously funny.
I'll tell you what makes these guys so funny is the relatability of the working class banter which obviously, the clubs up north are full of working class people from all different backgrounds but can relate to these two because they from a working class background too!!
I wish I could have seen Cannon & Ball live in Blackpool. I was a kid in the 80s and we had our summer holidays almost every year in Blackpool, but the only live show we ever saw there was Les Dennis & Dustin Gee. Sorry to anyone who lives there, but as an adult Blackpool seems to be a sleazy town now, whereas in the 80s I saw it as a child-friendly wonderland. When I go now I see hen and stag parties drunk out their faces, strip clubs, and folk selling stuff that fell off the back of a lorry. Back in the 80s it was sunshine, ice cream, candyfloss, the tower, the waxworks, the pleasure beach, and days on the beach making sandcastles.
Bobby ball simply he was a show biz genius in every way there will be a very big part missing from tommy cannon Undoubtably there will never be such talent as comedians RIP Bobby ball #official_lordbrooks
I love Bobby's description of a comedian vs a comic. Bobby was absolutely a comic, funny bones.

two very funny comics had me in tears laughing, stay strong tommy as you said you will see bobby again bless you both
Tommy is naturally funny too and they clearly loved each other. Tommy has lost his friend, colleague and his career. So sad.
Brilliant - shows two professionals totally at peace with themselves.
not a lot makes me proud of my hometown of Oldham these days but these two still do, RIP Bobby......
Love these two. Miss Bobby Ball. He was very funny.
Three Words formed a catchphrase that caught on nationwide nd took these boys to Another Level in the early eighties. "Rock on Tommy" Rest Easy Pal.

What a lovely interview. If only it could have run even longer!
As the first Director of C & B on TV I visited North Pier Blackpool for their first season there. Thanks very much for posting this Jack.
just a pair of best mates
Well done Jack, I really enjoyed that. To see them both so happy. Brilliant.
Cracking stuff RIP Bobby .

Brilliant
Tommy has barely changed
Bobby ball simply he was a show biz genius in every way there will be a very big part missing from tommy cannon
Undoubtably there will never be such talent as comedians RIP Bobby ball #official_lordbrooks
Im sure their first summer season was Central Pier, Cannon & Ball. Lennie Bennet. Roger DeCoursey & Lenny Henry, sold out all summer!
Not guaranteed sunshine abroad. We went to austria and it peed down all week whereas in uk it was sunny all week
"You'll be able to edit this will you?" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
No alternative double acts? Dawn french and jennifer saunders, rick mayall and adrian edmondson. More actors than comics but still double acts.
Rock on Tommy ❤😅
Lurel & hardy were these 2 for the working class.
Shame we all gotta depart this life at some point...RIP.
