- The Philippines has one of the fastest-growing HIV epidemics in the world and the fastest in Asia and the Pacific. From 2010-2020, new HIV infections increased by 237%, concentrating among key populations, particularly young men who have sex with men and transgender women. Since the COVID-19 outbreak, the country has fallen behind in ensuring the continuity and provision of HIV services. To bring the country back on track, a multisectoral approach is needed that places key populations and civil society at the centre of the HIV response.
HIV awareness should be included in school curriculum, need to educate and eradicate stigma about HIV

I just lost my partner due to HIV complications, June this year. Such a beautiful soul lost in such a young age. It's been a tough year for me but still, I want to thank God because I got tested HIV negative just last week. However, I appeal to the youth and to everyone to get tested and educate yourself about STD and HIV. You can save lives through education. I am planning to volunteer for Love yourself not only to honor the life of my partner as he himself is a volunteer to many good causes but also, I wanted to help people and fight HIV with them.

I'm gay and I have above normal libido as early as pre teen. Good thing in my case is my being covert that has kept me from socializing and sexual encounters. Although I don't advocate nor condemn masturbation particularly for single closeted gays, doing it during impulses is way safer than watching porn or worse, meeting up with strangers.

The significance of education to dessiminate information and awareness on the widespread of HIV/AIDS should be considered. Baguhin ang educational system at ibalik ang subject na Health na nakahiwalay sa MAPEH. This will better enhance information dessimination moreso among the youth who are in their formative years and are highly susceptible to HIV/AIDS infection. Mapusok ang mga kabataan kaya sa kanila dapat umpisahan ang pagpapalaganap ng kaukulang impormasyon upang ang HIV/AIDS ay maiwasan.
MAPEH has always been in our educational system especially on elementary and high school levels, both in private and public schools.

One of the reasons I see is lack of information/education. That is why sex education is beneficial nowadays. There is a stage where a child is curious about things like sex and it is normal. The problem is, some people still consider sex topic as taboo, as a result, young people try to search answers outside their homes. The increase of HIV cases won’t stop unless we educate our kids about this.

The HIV epidemic is soaring high in Philippines because it’s getting so easy for a lot of people to hook up. Social media, dating apps ( Grinder, Tinder etc) It’s just one click away! I don’t care how many person you hook up but as long as you aren’t spreading STD and worst HIV. Hope the government will do programs to raise awareness.

HIV has been here for decades but still the awareness ignored and lust are first priority for those who are sexually active. Without even having thoughts of it. But takes the consequences instead.
The problem with HIV programs in the Philippines is that they all have this agenda of 'HIV awareness' kuno pero gingamit lang ng mga counselors, program groups and heads na pampabango ng credentials nila. Walang sincerity.
Another concern here is that they are too focused with just testing campaigns, but for those who diagnosed as positive, what happens to them is BIG blur for many. Yes, some may have a mention of ARV but the campaign for the treatment should be equally as important and advertised as the prevention campaign.

Maaari kang maghayag ng kagustuhan sa pagsadya sa iyong komunidad sa pamamagitan sa partisipasyon sa community led organizations at maging ganap miyembro bilang volunteer, pag-aaral sa adbokasiya at pagbabahagi ng kaalamang pangkalusugan at karanasan sa komunidad. Sa pamamagitan n'yon ay posibleng makaambag ka ng tulong mula sa iyong kinalalagyan na komunidad sa pagtugon laban sa STI, HIV, and AIDS response.
