Thank you for this fantastic video on the top 5 minting tabletop games! I’ve discovered so many great games through your channel, and I’m always excited to see your recommendations. However, I have to say, I was eagerly waiting to hear about Crypt Crawler. In my experience, Crypt Crawler is an absolute gem and deserves the top spot. You remind me of DC20 - just as they enhanced D&D with house rules and eventually created an even better game, you’ve taken the best mechanics from various games and crafted something truly exceptional. I really believe Crypt Crawler has what it takes to be number one. Looking forward to hearing more of it and sharing the love for this amazing game. Thanks for all you do and for continually enriching our community.
I’m so humbled, man. Seriously. Thank you so much. I’m actively working on Crypt Crawler and it’s getting SO close to being finished. I can’t wait to share another update with you all. I greatly appreciate your continued enthusiasm and support! 🙏🎲🗡🛡
great list. I recently picked up a copy of Tin Helm from someone, and I love it. I'm very much looking forward to the sale on The Game Crafter site starting 9.2.24 to pick up some more Grey Gnome games
- Which Min Tin Tabletop Game you like the most? - Yes. Great reviews. Very fair and well thought Pros/Cons. Especially some being simultaneously a Pro AND a Con is pretty objective, because people's taste differs. You should've delve into Dragon Sparks before doing this top 5. It might've make its way in there. But you said you will update the list in the future so it's all good.
Good list. The only one I haven't played is Pirate Cove. My top 3 would be the same as yours and I would recommend almost every game by Jason Glover to anyone. I probably would have put Cursed!? at number 5 and definitely Doom Machine at number 4. I'm with you on the car parts in Dustrunner. I love customization in games.
I thought about it quite a bit when making this list. I asked myself, “would I rather play doom machine or pirate cove?” Obviously, the answer was pirate cove. The same can be said for Cursed. I included both of those games as honorable mentions because I genuinely enjoy both of them, but not quite as much as my top 5. This could always change in the future. I highly doubt my top 3 will change, but you never know!
Only one Ive tried is Deck 52 Space Wrecked. Fantastic game but agree it needs just one or two more card variety to increase the overarching scenarios a bit more
Cursed!? I would recommend, very simple but very fast and still satisfying, trying some others such as Mint Privateers soon, looks similar to Pirate Cove. Thanks
I recently got my order from The Game Crafter with Dustrunner, Doom Machine, Gate/Gates, and Tin Helm/Tin Realm. I've only gotten to Doom Machine so far. I think I'll bust out Dustrunner next.
@@Game-Knight Hoping it comes back in stock. Currently status is "Not enough Mint Tin in stock." Dove right into Outer rim as my first solo. That was great... First mint tin game that I just picked up was Tin Helm and that's been super fun as well!
Great video and top five - thanks!!! I would put Desolate (with expansions is a great game) where you have Dust Runner. The main issue I have with Dust Runner is just the premise that each game is just running from a bad guy to get to a location. It just feels a little flat to me and for the same reason I prefer Tin Helm’s adventuring for three gems over Tin Realm’s journey from start to finish. I understand there are back stories for both games (Dust Runner and Tin Realm), but I just find I enjoy them less than the other Glover mint tin games.
@@Game-Knight Sorry, my mistake. I sleeve the cards for these games and put them in a plastic deck box so I forgot Desolate didn’t come in a mint tin. Thanks again.
On the issue of Dustrunners theme being a negative, I feel that. I'm someone who doesn't get why fantasy (or D&D for that matter, not RPGs, just D&D... I just don't get that systems appeal) is so popular so it's frustrating to find games that cater to me. Give me Sci-fi, give me cyberpunk! I rather fight (or even better, pilot) a mech then fight a dragon. Give me guns and power armor baby! At lest I do have some choices, I got Battletech, I got Cyberpunk and GURPS handles modern/sci-fi better then any RPG I've ever played (and it's the only system that I know of that has rules for over penetration built in the core rules! Nothing like the tension from having to watch your shots because you might shoot through the badguy and hit the grandma behind him). But even with GURPS it's focusing more on D&D style content since that pays the bills which sucks since the fact it wasn't D&D was a huge draw for me. Come on guys, get out of the dungeon once and a while and try some sci-fi. Get some verity from your diet and please, please, please, try something that's not D&D. You'd be amazed at how much better other system play then that clunky mess that almost everyone I know pretends to like because they think they have to like it because it's D&D when all they do is complain about how much combat sucks in it and that's 90% of the game.
@@Game-Knight I got introduced to these games by your channel. I watch The Dungeon Dive once in a while but for some reason after the last vid I watch and UA-cam decided that now I want my feed flooded with solo gaming channels lol. I started to see this Game Knight channel keep popping up and I finally took the plunge. It was one of the vids on your game system and never heard of the mint tin game idea and thought it was a neat evolution of the old micro game concept (I'm a fan of old skool Car Wars as well, that an Ogre and even Melee/Wizard.. though the fact that it's basically proto GURPS helped there heh). After that I saw Jason's games (and his art work!) and well, you can guess the rest. Funny enough I somehow missed all this content and Jason's interview on The Dungeon Dive until after I saw your stuff.
Very cool! Welcome in! Im glad you’re enjoying the content and exploring the mint tin side of solo gaming. I appreciate the support and I hope you continue to enjoy. I have plenty of videos, so feel free to check any that pique your interest. Many more to come! 🎲🗡🛡
Love me some Mint sized games, good list!
Thanks, man!

I have to agree, Jason Glover is da bomb! I have all his games and when I travel, several go with me.
Nice! He’s a great game designer
great list. I recently picked up a copy of Tin Helm from someone, and I love it. I'm very much looking forward to the sale on The Game Crafter site starting 9.2.24 to pick up some more Grey Gnome games
Nice! I highly recommend Iron Helm 😁

I’ll definitely revise this list as I play more mint tin games. I have a few on my shelf that didn’t make the cut just yet.
I did a lot of research about small box single player games and ended up getting Tin Helm and Tin Realm. I think I did well.
Definitely!
@@Game-Knight great game, but the Celepede has taken me out both times I have played so far. 🤷♂️🫣
You’ll get it! Just some bad luck
Alright you've talked me into trying dustrunners and gates
Let’s go!

It is a great game. I love how quick it is to set up and play.
Cursed!? Is a good one! I’ve played it on the channel 👍👍

Amazing! Great picks!
Does the Gates mat work for Gate and does the Tin Realm mat work for Tin Helm?
Yes and yes. 😁
I just started solo board gaming. Wish I could find a copy of Dustrunmer!
Awesome! Have any favorites so far? DustRunner should be available on The Game Crafter.

Dove right into Outer rim as my first solo. That was great... First mint tin game that I just picked up was Tin Helm and that's been super fun as well!
Mint Tin games are my absolutele jam...have you tried Dragon Spark, Mint Knight, or Mint Imperium yet?
I have Dragon Spark and Mint Knight but haven’t played them yet. I’ll have to check out Mint Imperium.

I love Desolate but it isn’t a mint tin game and this video is my top 5 mint tin games. Otherwise, it would likely make the list.
@@Game-Knight Sorry, my mistake. I sleeve the cards for these games and put them in a plastic deck box so I forgot Desolate didn’t come in a mint tin. Thanks again.
No worries! I have some Desolate Playthroughs on the channel if you’d like to check them out 🎲🛡🗡👽
