- According to a survey carried out in 2019, Chelsea Football Club was voted the most hated club in the English Premier League. Fan or not, you just have to admit that the hate Chelsea gets is a bit more than usual. But why is that?
In this video, we will be looking at 10 reasons why everybody hates Chelsea Football Club. At the end of the video, we want you guys to flood the comments and tell us if these reasons justify the hate the London club gets.

The raging against the ref in the game against Barca was every single bit justified though. I'm no Chelsea fan but that match was disgraceful.

@@One-OH-1 yeah, personally I'm a Liverpool fan so I mean I don't have a lot to love when it comes to rivals but I think it is so petty when people can't acknowledge another club or rival club doing something positive or impressive. For example, I will never like united (obviously), but I have to admit Rushford comes across as a fantastic person and community ambassador, a great overall role model.
That game vs Barça was simply one of the most enjoyable game I care to remember. Ballack running up the pitch to chase the ref was priceless.

U really think football is about supporting the biggest club. If that were the case, i would support real Madrid and spam my 13 ucl in every conversation. But football is about enjoyment and support the team you love (like Sunderland, Watford, Leicester city, etc...) Imagine someone starts to support a dirty money club in 2021 because they won the ucl and since you have no conquest on your life, you join a club that as some conquest so you can play arrogant on the internet like saying "your only jealous", or sing to Brighton fans "champions of Europe, you"ll never sing that" 5:23

I don´t think football is about supporting the biggest club. I started watching chelsea because of Eiður Smári Guðjónsson from my home country was a player for Chelsea but when he left for Barca i did not become a Barca supporter and start supporting "the bigger club" because i fell in love with the Chelsea spirit and relentless drive for success

Imagine being jealous of a club who buy a flop of a striker Werner for £100 million and Kepa for a record fee for a GK. Also imagine being jealous of a club who scream that Liverpool are poor when Liverpool are better than them.
Wait how was chelsea a nothing club before Roman came? They used to fight for top 4, they won couple of silverware (not huge ones like the premier league or UCL) but they still used to win FA cups ,league cups and lets not forget They got their first uefa super cup by beating the Galacticos and prior they won the Cup winners cup. So it's more like Roman Abramovic just upgraded a decent team to a superpower.

Calling Chelsea a "Nothing Club" before Roman lets us know how bitter this guy is. Chelsea were winning trophies and playing Champions League football at a time when only Arsenal, United and Liverpool were regularly winning silverware.

It's quite insane. I live in India and I have a Chelsea jersey. Once I wore it to work and a co worker immediately took offence to it like I disrespected his entire bloodline. He even said never to come anywhere near him while I have it on.

a lot of these reasons are for past eras of the club/ not really present day. so terry, the physio incident, and a few others that idc to type out, those were past eras moments that shouldnt apply to today

To be honest as a chelsea fan I feel that our academy system didn't use to bring players through to the first team that much but over the past couple 4 or 5 seasons I feel that a lot of players have been brought through to the first team like the chalobahs , christensen , mount , gilmour , James and Hudson odoi

We made these coaches become legends, Jose wouldn't be called the Special One if not for his career at Chelsea. And ruining players??!! We helped them out. Do you seriously think that Mo Salah or De Bruyne would have been superstars with the stiff competition that was at the club that time? By releasing them we helped them showcase their talent at other camps. We have a huge squad, guys like Billy Gilmour wouldn't be playing if they were still at the bridge, so instead of siting on their talent we loan them out so that they can develop a lot more and play more games at other clubs. Look at players like Reece James, they developed well out on loan and now he's one of our best wingbacks at the club. And buying success, cmon, I bet if Abramovich wasn't Russian you'd be cool with it but noooo. You have teams like City and Newcastle who are owned by foreign investors. You have teams like Arsenal who are owned by an American company but just because it's the USA then is all okay, seriously, that's pathetic. The number one reason is Jealosy, and that's it. A lot of clubs have ruined players, don't just pin it on Chelsea. Clubs like Manchester United ruined players like Sanchez, Spurs has kept talented players like Kane from winning any Silverware. Not entirely sure I understand all the hatred Chelsea gets. Most of these reasons given doesn't justify hating an entire club. Strange how almost none of these examples are pre-Abramovic, or that a Norwich or Scunthorpe United are never in discussions of most hated clubs
If there is one example that isn't mentioned here is when Chelsea were first taken over and they played a much poorer club. I remember the scenes of fans throwing printed paper money as if to flaunt their riches to the poorer club. That was a bit too crass for my liking

Atleast we dont sign the biggest players, we make players and groom then and have spent a lot on the academy and the stadium, even the players we buy are youngsters and stuff, not the biggest players in the world
Chelsea is a oil club says arsenal, Tottenham, PSG, Man City, man united fans who spends much more money than chelsea and have rich owners than Roman abhromovich.
Roman may not be the richest in terms of money but he has that passion and love for football that's why he invest alot of money which he earns from a good business model of chelsea. Chelsea loan system is the best and has one of the best academy's. It easily earns 300-400 million dollars from loaning players and loan network which make them active in transfer market.
We bought Lukaku for 97.5 million pounds but also we sold players worth around 93 million pounds.
