Hi everyone! I'm an American from the Northeast (New England). I want to create a watering hole for people who want to discuss, learn and teach about history through UA-cam videos which you guys recommend to me through the comment section or over on Discord. Let's be respectful but, just as importantly, not be afraid to question any and everything about historical records in order to give us the most accurate representation of the history of our species and of our planet!

You don't even have to go all the way to eating in order to annoy Europeans. Even the way you guys use cutlery is plain wrong. 😀
God, did they make heavy weather of it? It takes so much longer. Perhaps it’s because we’re given knives and forks at a much younger age. I saw kids in American school, Jamie Oliver, and he was trying to tell the dinner assistant to give them proper cutlery and she was having none of it and she didn’t believe it when he told her kids in the UK for five or even three sometimes use cutlery. Not flatware. Cutlery.

Lol, but he's not wrong. New England suits me better than other areas i've visited in the US. Just my taste and opinion.
As a Brit, if someone walked into my house with shoes on I'd fume. The floors are clean, why would you walk around in shoes and dirty it up?
The only time I wouldn't take my shoes off is if the home owner said not to bother.
Do American's just walk in with their shoes on and not take them off until they go to sleep?
From what I have seen on the internet, very few americans have carpets.

I mop those damn floors once a week after hoovering, I don't want footprints on my nice clean laminate.

the reason you don't get the pizza joke is because there are really only 5 or 6 kinds of original, basic pizza, the rest are all junk pies or whatever. There's the margarita, 4 cheese, anchovies, ham, and a few others. Anything on top of that is the creation of overthinking foreigners. In smaller Italian pizzerias that aren't along the main tourist routes, you'll find these basic pizzas

: they leave rubbish everywhere, they scream wherever they go, because in my small town they drew signs on every intercom to say if the houses were with few people, when they were away from home, easy to be able to steal things inside and more, when they sit at the bar they occupy every single table with only one person sitting there for hours at the most ordering a coffee , they do not integrate with the locals , this is my experience with them
That could have been much better. But the video maker used a terrible voice thing and didn't even put much thought into it and repeated several of them.

Italians with pineapple on pizza is like drinking cappuccino after 12. It's just the thickness of European culture. I go to Rome drinking cappuccino I know they won't like it, but I like cappuccino and I don't like black coffee, so cappuccino it is. I'm not Italian so I'm excused, that's my oppinion anyway.

An original Italian pizza never has pineapple on it, they are not eaten like that in Italy.
And in Italy, you eat proper pizza with a knife & fork as the 'norm' in a restaurant! Italian's are often aghast when Americans want to use their hands in a decent restaurant.

Correct... They are German, as in a 'hamburger' (named after the city of Hamburg). Supposedly the first hamburgers made their first US appearance at the St. Louis, 'Louisiana Purchase Exposition' in 1904 and they became very popular... They were made with shredded BEEF, (the name confused Americans, as many thought they contained pork, not realising it was named after a city!).

As a kid I loved pineapple and ham on pizza, was a fussy eater, im not now but I still like it.
