  • Pamphobeteus sp. (called "Chicken spider", arana pollito), still undescribed species, Peru in the wild shot with the new impressive Laowa 24mm probe lens (using its own led lights) into the burrows of two different females with their spiderlings. Location is kept undisclosed for conservation reasons.

    Thanks for sharing! In the beginning of the video (first burrow?) I notice the spiderlings have reddish abdomen hairs and reddish leg hairs and in the second burrow the spiderlings have grey abdomen/leg hairs. Do you think the difference is due to being freshly molted? (i.e. appears reddish when freshly molted then fades?)

      Thanks for asking! nope, it's just the different growth stage! In the first one they where bigger and getting colors! :-)

    Thank for video. At the beginning of the first burow there are some rings. What are these rings? Remains of eaten snails ?

      they're the remains of eaten millipedes and other arthropods. :-)

    Communal? They burrow together? Those snail shells are proof they r the snail eaters

      They are partially commonal cause they stay with their mother for long time. The snails are just dead snails and they normally eat arthropods and small vertebrartes.
