I feel so privileged sitting here able to read the conversation between you and the Taiwanese guy with his daughter, then I feel shamed that I have not been able to pick up mandarin or Taiwanese to converse in my wife's language as she is Taiwanese and we have been married for almost 20 years. I struggle to remember. How do you remember so much?
I feel it's important to use it out loud as many times as possible. Talking to yourself is also effective. Before I couldn't remember it right away, but as I repeated it, my brain gradually got used to it. I'm sure she would be very happy if you spoke especially some Taiwanese! 加油！

Kazu, you're really taking this language learning to a whole another level man, you even learn Javanese ???? That's really really impressive, it's my everyday language too. I think you already know at this point that most Indonesians use their local languages as everyday languages, right ? So learning it will help you IMMENSELY if you ever come to Java (only East Java, Central Java, Jogja who speak javanese tho). But "unfortunately" there's level of politeness in Javanese, more than in Indonesian 😅 It just means that you have to learn more about it and to whom should you use the language. Either way, i'm veryyy glad you tried to learn Javanese ❤

Salut Kazuma, i am Chinese, i speak french and chinese (native language) born in French Guiana located in the North East of South America, i would just like to let you know that there are 3 types of Chinese: Mandarin (generally spoken), Hakka (not The Haka of Australia lol…) and Cantonese (from Hong Kong). Unfortunately I only speak Cantonese but learning Mandarin 😁 Oui j’ai écrit en anglais car j’apprends l’anglais aussi 😂 Je ne commente pas souvent ! Bonne continuation en tout cas 👍
As a chinese person I noticed that chinese takes you more effort to think about before you speak it, than the other languages u have learned😭. I get it, im chinese but was born and raised in an English speaking country, i know how hard this language can be. My only advantage is that my parents always speak it to me, or to other chinese people in front of me, which is how i am able to maintain some level of fluency despite almost never speaking it myself. This language has a few interesting concepts that aren’t found in any other language, but don’t worry, u will get it eventually.
I think it’s just because he has just started to learn it? But I agree that Chinese isn’t easy, I still remember how did I struggle with writing words like 鹽、覽、贏 when I was a primary school kid (by a chinese native who was born and raised in Hong Kong)

I want to practice my Japanese and I tried going on OmeTV and I set the country to Japan but I only got weird people and I barely found someone from Japan let alone someone that was willing to talk to me. Yeah, Ometv always have weird people, that’s what Kazuma had said, according to him, he has used about 10 hours to collect recordings which can be used and make a video like this
You know you’re good when strangers think you’re trying to trick them when they swear you’re actually a native speaker. That’s very hard to do as anyone who has learned a language can tell you. I developed a convincing Italian accent enough to fool a few people, but it’s hard to carry on a conversation for very long without revealing your limitations. Most conversation is basic and you can get by with a lot of nodding and keywords and phrases. If you can get the accent right and throw in some current slang, you give the impression that you know more than you do. It’s part hard work and part magic trick. The difference with Kazuma is that he really learns the languages. Stronger in some than in others but he always mentions that he is learning. He riffs off of the responses he gets in a masterful way, which is part of his gift. He communicates and makes people happy and inspires others to do the same. I cannot think of a better thing to do with your life.

Kazuma, my friend, an American, worked in Japan and was fluent (duh!). He would go to McDona'd's with a bunch of his Japanese friends and then order from the drive-thru. Only, he would put this thick Texas-drawl accent in Japanese. His friends were choking to keep from laughing. When he got up to the window, the whole McDonald's employees were crowded around thw window!

You can say english and mandarin are the most spoken language in the world. But i have been hearing other languages lately like Portuguese, turkmen, kazakh, kyrgyz, tajik, navajo, estonian and other languages even though it's not the most spoken language.

其實在臺灣會說臺語的人也愈來愈少了，還好Kazuma遇到的都是聽得懂甚至是會說臺語的人，真的很難得～

@@leannacheung8603 是啊，因為以前中華民國政府剛撤退到臺灣的時候，實施國語教育，打擊各種原住民語及本土語，導致現在的年輕人與臺語脫節，現在大家都會的臺語可能只剩下髒話了。不過在臺灣南部和比較鄉下一點的地方，會說臺語的比例會稍微高一些，但還是逐漸下滑。再來臺灣人民大多排斥「臺語字」，這些人覺得用同音的漢字表達臺語音就可以了，例如：「哩賀」（你好）。臺語逐漸變成華語的樣貌，所以愈來愈式微。
真的，我也開始生疏了，畢竟大家都講國語，只有回老家才會說台語，但大致上對話還行，我小時候就是禁說台語的年代😅

Kazuma, my friend, an American, worked in Japan and was fluent (duh!). He would go to McDona'd's with a bunch of his Japanese friends and then order from the drive-thru. Only, he would put this thick Texas-drawl accent in Japanese. His friends were choking to keep from laughing. When he got up to the window, the whole McDonald's employees were crowded around thw window!

Mandarin Chinese is the most spoken language in the world. Followed by English, then Spanish.
You can say english and mandarin are the most spoken language in the world. But i have been hearing other languages lately like Portuguese, turkmen, kazakh, kyrgyz, tajik, navajo, estonian and other languages even though it's not the most spoken language.
