I I’ve just bought this machine and I’m looking forward to getting it in the next few days. Love your different explanations what’s in there. Can’t visit a shop so have looked at dozens of videos. This one is joining her great great grandmother , Bernina 530-2, still going strong Just without any of these new fancy things. Love the old one, hope I’ll love the new one.
I got my Bernette B77 last Saturday and I love it. Compared to the Brother Inovis F420 I had before, it is so much easier to use the settings and the stitch quality is also much nicer.
We are happy to hear that you are enjoying sewing on your new Bernette! It is a wonderful machine and we hope you enjoy it for many years to come. Happy Sewing!
Hi! You said in previous comments on youtube that you didn’t get along with the bernette b38 and prefered the brother innovis 420. How is this machine compared to the b38, other then the fact that is has more stitches and functions , why did you like this one but not the b38? I ask becouse I am considering buying this machine and I already own a bernette b37. I love the b37 but would like to go next level and to have a machine that is more capable to sew with thicker fabrics as well as more decorative stitches and functions.
One year and 115-million stitches later, I love mine. It’s very heavy duty - sews through anything without question. The dual feed is awesome. The quirky thing is that I must listen to verify that it’s actually in reverse when I press the button. Sometimes it doesn’t register the button and continues to sew in the same direction. I got used to this and is by no means a dealbreaker. 9.5/10 overall. I paid way less than the price you see online: go to a dealer.
can you tell me what presser foot tension i need to use when quilting?? my quilt is bunching up horribly when i use my edge foot. UGH. i like my bernette but HATE the lack of support for sewers the company offers NONE. i hope you can answer me. i have 3 layers as usual, one cotton quilt top (batik), one cotton backing and one layer of quilters dream 80/20 batting. thanks
The proper pressure depends on the specific fabric and batting combination. I wish I could give you a definitive answer. Make a test sandwich using the same fabrics and batting as in your project and try different settings until you get what you like. Make sure to have your edge foot on so that the whole test is most accurate. You may also enjoy using an optional walking foot. This attachment helps reduce the push that is put on the layers by releasing the foot’s contact with the fabric on every stitch. However, this is not compatible with your edge foot as it is an all in one item.
Hi! I am from Greece and l have a question for you. Does Bernette b77 keep top speed for all lengths of straight stitch? I ask because mine keeps high speed only up to 3. If l put a 5 at length, it slows down. Is that normal?
where can i go to find out basics about the machine and all the settings and symbols?? the manual does me no good. it does not explain what the various symbols on the home screen are! UGH....so frustrated and wishing i had not bought this machine. NO ONE can help, not even Bernina. they do not respond
Here is a link to a workbook PDF that we hope you will find helpful. The workbook link is on the bottom left of the page www.bernette.com/en-US/models/bernette-77

Your instructive narrative is very informative, however a closeup camera needs to be directed at the machine sewing.

It would help if your camera would be more focus on the machine close up, and less on the instructor. Can't really see the machine features.
Thank you for your feedback. Please let us know what you would like to see specifically so we can be sure to include it.
Hi does this model have needle down position whenever it stops and speed control, ?
Yes: It has needle stop up/down functionality and a speed control slider.
When you hemming jeans you do jump from 3 layer s to 12 on double lap seam.
Do you have to oil the bobbin case after every use like the Bernina?
Is this considered a Bernina and will my bernina feet fit this machine
While Bernette machines are made by Bernina the feet are not interchangeable.
did this machine handles a car saddle upholstery leather? what is a fully comparable bernina machine to this?
Embroidering on the leather is very doable. Our suggestion is to consider a BERNINA 5 or 7 series as they are stronger machines than the Bernettes.
As this has dual feed Do you need walking stitch with this machine ?
Is there a ruler foot for this machine?

Get the B79 for just a bit more it does embroidery
What if we don't need embroidery, should we still get the 79?😁
@@ike7539 I didn't, so I didn't. Happy with the b77.

Seems a bit loud when sewing
Does it have a built in handle??
Yes, it does.
