I actually think that was a mistake. Ofc, I'll never know what the AOs were thinking, but from watching vids of accepted portfolios, it seems AOs don't want to watch a video detailing all your achievements. I can imagine the message "I watch dubbed anime because I do so many important things I don't have time to read subtitles" can rub some AOs the wrong way. That's just my perspective on it

I cannot tell the difference between your video and other accepted students' video. This just shows the video material si not that important and that it is a tiny fraction of the application, which itself I feel is like a lottery ticket given the subjectivity and luck involved.
I really hope you get in you seem super cool! I was wondering what I could do to stand out as much as you. I am a freshman I also really want to go to brown. Hope you get in!
Thank you! It's good that you're thinking about this now I wish I did the same haha. I'd say have someone record everything you're doing through high school. It really came in handy for me when making this video to have footage of what I've done. I would also recommend really branching out in extracurriculars to find what you love. Everyone talks about having a spike in your application but I think it's important to go out and find it first. Good luck :)
