OMG...how hard you ladies work to put a meal on the table for your families.
Just amazing !!!
It's not hard work at all because it's how it must be for the food we put into our bodies, clean organic together within the neighborhood with joy, laughter ❤❤❤
This video was shot in 2021 and has been re-edited into a longer version. We hope you enjoy it!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful life with us.
Thanks Rose for the longer video, really enjoyed it. It's always a pleasure to watch you and your family.
Thanks rose. I am from kenya n I love your videos. If you be giving us larger videos like this, it's nice❤
The volume is low
I don’t know why am always glued to this vedios😊😊may you blending well in Chinese is very interesting. Love from 🇿🇦South Africa
The root is what we called cocoyam in West Africa. I will definitely try this. It is very healthy food. Rose you are a blessing to our generation. I am very proud of you
We use Taro a lot in Nigeria, it can be used to thicken soup, also can be grated to make a type of dumpling in Nigeria call ekpang . It is known as cocoyam in Nigeria, you can also ground it to make swallow for soups. I enjoy watching you & your husband, I always have a smile on my face watching your videos
In South Africa it's called amadumbe
@@elendagiwa-amu4801 agree but this particular specie is. It used in thickening soup. The specie used is much smaller with more hairy roots on it. I believe Igbo calls that one Ede. We eat these types normally like yam
In southern coust Africa, we called moxog, cleans the lever, and radioactive.
Love coco
In Trinidad, we call it dasheen. The leaves are cooked with okra, coconut milk, pumpkin, seasoning and pepper. Better known as callaloo.
Yes but I can't cook it l😅
In St. Lucia it's called dasheen. We eat the leaves too.
This is different from dasheen though - we call it eddoe/coco/Tanya. It’s smaller than dasheen, though similar ❤
We don’t eat the leaves in Jamaica. I think it’s dasheen there too. I also didn’t know we could eat pumpkin leaves and flowers until I watches some African UA-camrs cooking.
Hello Trini. I am also from Trinidad.
Hi Rose! I had no clue what a taro plant actually looked like. I love taro and I would love to try this recipe! Every single thing about this dish looked absolutely delicious! Thank you both for sharing! You know it’s yummy if Anzai loves it!
A little tip…..What I do to keep my cutting boards from getting away from me…..Take a kitchen towel, wet it, wring it out, and put it underneath your board. The damp towel will keep the board from slipping and moving. I hope you’ll give it a try.
Thank you for your tip too!
Cocoyam
@@frankbediako1372 yep. Cocoyam.
@@roseinchina1 Rose, we need more cocoyam dishes. It doesn't necessarily have to be Chinese ones either. 👍🏾👍🏾
We in eastern rt of Nigeria Igbo tribe have it plenty in our farm lands, we eat alot and also use it as a thickener to our delicious soup with assorted fishes and meat
It is so wonderful to see the older showing Rose how to make the dumplings.
She very good at making it.
Love this learning, togetherness and the love of cooking.
I am so glD that Rose is roping her into the cooking - this mean that Rose will get help
@@wilmarainwater5333 that's alright if she helps,team work.
Soo good family
No bickering n snapping at each other ❤

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍So Beautiful 👪 💚❤💙
Those leaves are very good to make a stew. Wash clean, roll a bunch of then together and cut them up, have your onions garlic and desired spices cooking until fragrant add leaves and sprinkle a little water if they are drained of the water. Cover. The steam will reduce it. Then add your salt and what kiks it up a notch is a cup of rich coconut milk.
Sounds good 😊
Yes. Taro is called eddoe in my country. We make it very similar but we are sure to remove the veins from the leaf and cooked it very long because it can cause itchy in the mouth and throat
In my country Guatemala we cook that leaves with corn meal , it is call tamales tupes! Very delicious, we also cook taro roots in different ways.
Is this madhumbe Rose? Yam?
Here in south Africa we call them marope or amadumbe. We just put them salt and water and then cook them.. They are nice too. Even those green leaves are nice.
💚 Industrious Chef Rose is an inspiration. Hope your dreams will come true for you & your wonderful family to visit Uganda 💚
Glad you filmed this in 2021 highlights this great welcoming community you live in has been going on for a long time. 🇨🇳 and 🇺🇬
I love reading all the comments, especially on the cooking videos! It’s like a cultural exchange with people from around sharing their tips, similarities and differences in how we cook the same produce, and finding out the different names we call the same roots, fruits and vegetables around the world - it’s glorious!
Such a wholesome community ❤❤
❤😊
Absolutely - in Jamaica we say, "Variety is the Spice Of Life".
My family eats the leaves when they’re young
Both so helpful
honestly, this feels more immersive without the background music. 🌹✨ also, yes to more longer content~!
Yes! Loved it without the background music too
I LOOOOOOOVE HOW LONG THIS VLOG IS!!!! ALSO IT IS VERY GOOD THAT YOU DONT HAVE MUSIC ALL THE TIME AND ALL THE CONVERSATIONS MAKE ME FEEL LIKE IM REALLY RIGHT THERE! IT FELT VERY REAL!! SOOO GOOD!
Yes, I agree 👌🏾
Ça me fait plaisir de te voir avec ta nouvelle famille 👪 tu es aimé partout tu es la a aidé les autres bon cœur sois bénis ma Rosa
In java, not only the taro roots we eat but also the young leave to wrap seasoning beef or others and cook it as a curry. We made taro as chips, too and the name chips product is Taro😊. Maybe sometime, you Rose try to make taro as a chips👍😊
Greetings from Java - Indonesia💞
Taro chips?
Amazing.
Learning from different cultures across the world
@@martharinebiseko1457 Yeah, we had it😊
😊 I found you on accident. UA-cam played your video after watching a movie. Your Son is so cute and respectful. In America, you tell someone's child to sit properly & you are a stranger you could possibly end up in an argument. I love that good old-fashioned rearing & instruction to help kids be better. It takes a village to raise a child. He speaks some English too.😅 Watching you all interact is so lovely.
Какой красивый сыночек!❤
Bless you Rose and family.
Rose, you and your family are amazing. May God bless and preserve you. 🙏 ❤
Watching this in 2023 and I am missing coco yams. Going to get some in the market. Thank you Rose and auntie ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Муж должен Розе слелать стол выше.Она много готовит и ей за низким неудобно!

Hello my Sister, hello everyone, from Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso
Longer version is good....gives us a peek into your entire operations. Your neighbour and you make for a good team. Tell me Rose, do you all also use the taro stem and leaves like we do.....we generally dry the leaves in the sun. The stem part is cut into thin strips and dried too......used in pork preparation.
Wow.....
In Uganda we do not use the stem. As fir leaves we use the younger tender ones
J adore cette femme Rose qui s'est bien intégrée dans la culture chinoise.
So organic everything is fresh, from garden to cooking then stomach no preservatives
Rose has great neighbors. That teach her, the rudiments of her surroundings.
The sheer joy from thumbnail alone ❤❤❤ thank you for sharing w us. I hope you and your community will continue to be warm caring and wholesome and thrive more and more.

Rose you could also brush the edges with egg white before adding the filling. Then fold and wse a fork to seal it
Hi Rose, I love your videos, as I was raised in the Island of Jamaica 🇯🇲, and I can attest to this lifestyle. I think this is cocoa for us, and I've only had it in soup. I still buy it here in the USA 🇺🇸. I will definitely try this dish. It looks delicious. Keep the videos coming, we're totally enjoying all your videos, your family, friends, and neighbors.
Woa - you learned from a professional in the village. Lucky you!
Rose you can put cloth underneath the chopping board so it won't slide when using it. I noticed because you are tall, your working table is low and end up bending all the time. To avoid hurting your lower back and spine, you should use a high chair and sit while working.
Nawww.....she needs a taller/higher table that's up to the waist. Then the chairs can be adjusted aye?
Good to see this video no barrier to live a good life well done Rosé your colour doesn't limit you .❤
@@funmiakingbade3854in my honest opinion, commenting on her color is odd!

🌹Rosa, good to see your son. Good for kids to help in kitchen, they learn to cook parent's great recipes.
Very fascinating how the Taro is picked, boiled, peeled and kneaded into flour.
[Love how you stopped to tell auntie you saw "big hairy worm" , when picking Taro- 😁]
😊
I enjoy your cooking, Rose. You’re quite skilled!
Hi Rose watching from Bahamas
We love you Rose. I've learnt so much from you. I want to thank you so much for this longer video. I've watched all your videos from the beginning here on UA-cam, maybe over 10 times. I watch your videos for hours, just repeating them over and over again. Thank you for gracing us with your presence, lifestyle, and, above all, cooking. No matter what rose ,I always seem to learn something from her and that is so cool...she is so funny and talented 💯
I love how they showed all of the hiccups, as well as the successful final result of the dumpling making. Try, try, try and if you still don't succeed, try again. They looked delicious!
Rose, I never had taro, but the way you ladies prepared, it looks delicious, I will try to make it, I hope it turns out as good as yours which I doubt it.😅😅😅
Rose, vc é demais
Thank tou for sharing.
This is amazing ❤ this channel could pass for a cooking channel ❤ I'll try making dumplings using your recipe, I don't eat pork so I'll just replace that with beef and probably skip the cocoyam/taro, not sure I'll find it here😅😅
Place a damp kitchen towel under the cutting board. It will prevent it from sliding.Blessings
Wow, this is an amazing recipe. You did a great job 👏 👍
Роза, привет тебе с Сахалина- это Россия, рядом находиться ярония и Корея. Ты очень естественная и очень мила и обаятельна.

Good but I will like to see you introduce some of your country's dishes to your family and friends
Well done sister❤
We call this cocoyam in Nigeria. It is used to make chips, the boiled roots is added to thicken soups in South East Nigeria, it is also grated and made into some kind of dish in south west Nigeria. Finally the leaves are used as wraps to steam food, tender leaves are sliced into a sauce. All delicious really. Maybe I will try this dumpling recipe and see how my family likes it. ❤
Hi Rose, We have that in Uganda and it's called Mayuuni.
En mi país Venezuela, América del sur se llama ocumo y se utiliza en sopas o en puré muy rico. Muchas gracias por compartir tu receta de dompling
