Give us more bike lanes, more bus options, and improve the city zoning laws to make neighborhoods more walkable! If a city requires every citizen to own a car in order to be a self-sufficient and contributing member of society, that city’s public transportation has failed. Public transportation and biking should be desirable for all people, not just the poor and invalid.
This will sound crazy and expensive but light rail (elevated and underground) with most new residential development focusing on high density housing around new rail lines. TXDOT needs to start diverting money away from cars.
San Antonio needs a new monorail system than light rails the monorails are up away from the traffic and it will keep moving. I hope VIA will be able to go into new areas northern parts of the city. Another idea to have a rail system for San Antonio and Austin to help the I-H 35.
During COVID-19 I saw lots of cars on the road and I was one of them. I didn't work from home during COVID-19. But it nice to see a full via transit center with a parking garage. The Denver/Aurora area has a lot of them. They are nice. It's nice to see SA-Town with one. I love SAT way more than ATX.
The only way public transportation is going to work is if it becomes more efficient then driving your vehicle. This means that you would somehow need to make it so that you save time or money by using it because people won’t use it just for the sake of helping a social goal. I can’t see public transportation working very well in this city which is designed around cars being incredibly ubiquitous
Ok then, why are police officers not running or walking that trail regularly? Thats your community officers, whats going on? Whats up with the training, you now have 2 bodies, no suspect. That makes no real sense because they're living in fear of a serial killer or killers roaming around shopping.

We have all the Rapid Transit and Subways in Boston
San Antonio is just to slow and lazy or just not committed enough to be like other cities that have really good transportation
Here's an idea... wanna improve transportation in SA?
THEN STOP WORKING ON EVERY MAJOR HIGHWAY AT THE SAME TIME!!!!!!!!
SA still into amusement rides and trapped whale splash.
