The lyrics hit me so hard when I first watched the scene... Stefan losing his control and Elena seeing it for the first time... Though it was first song for Elena and Damon and even I'm a delena shipper, I still believe this song was what Elena wanted to say to Stefan
I'm so glad that I decided to watch Vampire Diaries which was recommended by a few friends. Cause I had no idea epic beautiful songs like this were gonna be played during the show. The whole VD soundtrack is amazing actually. I wish this talented band was more well known. Can't stop listening to this song.

This and Frozen are my two favorite Within Temptation songs. Just gets me every time. I love the juxtaposition of Sharon's ethereal, delicate voice, with the heavy guitars and strings and powerful lyrics. So beautiful!!

Within Temptation always finds a way to say exactly what needs to be said; not overdone, just powerful as hell. Musically I learned a long time ago that it's not always the notes you play, sometimes it's the notes you don't that have the most impact. I find it helps in life as well.

I found them when I was younger. The song aligned with me back then. Now I when I watch it with the end clip I realize more about the message and what’s going on. Awesome.

What the hell, both The Silent Force & The Heart of Everything have AMAZING songs!!! I've been going track by track & there's not a single bad song in these two albums.
