but must admit shedding is a pet peeve of mine because I am such a perfectionist when it comes to keeping my carpets clean...
Can't get that with a pug! I was exactly the same, my car was immaculate at all time .. after about 2 months it was becoming so much hassle I just gave up 😄 go out the house just covered in hairs
Should i shave my pug(except head,neck and tail) ?

I've never heard of pugs being shaved, their hair is already short just thick, lots of regular brushing will do the trick! 👍🏻

I could not believe how much my pug shed. It was unbelievable. I love pugs but I won't get another one just because of the shedding
I have a black pug Ollie and he has two coats as well. He sheds an amazing amount of hair. I have to sweep everyday and then there is more the next day. I brush him as well and even more hair comes off. I would think he would be bald by now. Ive never seen so much hair in my life. I still love my pug.
As much as I want a pug, I can't deal with the shedding.

I have a 6 year old black pug he doesn’t shed too much, I’m getting a fawn pug next week. Now I’m kinda scared of shedding.

It's rather easy to curb your pugs shedding
Day brushing, salmon oil in their food, and a good organic deshedding shampoo. Just takes a little effort.

We have been! it's been a combination of us both! .. While he's still young I would use some quite soft brushes or nothing to sharp as their puppy skin Is sensitive, as he gets older you'll want to get a proper undercoat brush or a shedder which is what we're planning on doing, I'll send you a photo on histogram of the ones we have been using :)
One word from a fawn pug owner that’s a groomer- furminator! I had a black pug one many years ago she didn’t shed. However their are some that do.

my labrador sheds so much, pablo probably sheds the same amount, my japanese spitz never shedded ever then we got our lab and we had fur everywhere :)
Imagine this, I have a pug and a labrador.
I have a pug he's called Lloyd he gets brushed everyday and he sheds a lot more in the summer. A good Hoover is must I've had a few dyson pet hoovers but really the best is the Miele cat&dog.
Never heard of that one, I'll have to have a look into it! They Dyson is quite good but when we're due to change I'll keep this in mind

If pug shed everyday and so much, how do you keep him in our room moreover sleep with em? I see many ppl do that
Pablo doesn't sleep in the bed with us, he sleeps downstairs. I would assume people that let them sleep on the beds hoover and wash the sheets a lot more than usual! 😅
That Pug Pablo ah i see! Do groom them everyday with furminator or other products does help? Because i intend to bring my pug sleep with me
A good brushing before bed would help a lot! You'll never not get hairs but you can definitely bring it to a minimum! .. We've found that a bath and a brush is the best way to stop excessing shedding, you don't want to bathe them too much so regular baths and consistent brushing and you should be alright! Their hair is really soft so you'd never notice if you were lying on them 😁
That Pug Pablo ah before bed! That will be my schedule for groom then, thanks! How often do you bath him? Once a week is okay?
