+Kyde and Eric Only in Japan can you geek out on food in the middle of the street or in this case in the ally way can you make a foodie video without being molested by drunks/bums/assholes or having the business owners calling the cops for loitering like here in the states. You guys have it so good and so different it's f**King awesome.
Your innuendo (intentional or not) always makes me happy! I'd love for you guys to do the same comparison setup with that AMAZING looking convenience store fried chicken I always see people in Jvlogs comparing to crack!
Can't wait to try one when I'm in Japan! :D Probably never would have heard of Pizaman if it weren't for you guys and probably would have passed it up in the Konbini just because I wouldn't have had any idea what it was. Thanks mates!~
It's now 5:20 am and I'm heating up leftovers from last night because this video made me hungry. Those look pretty awesome. Like a hot pocket but classier maybe. Oh well, on to my Dakgangjeong for breakfast and episode 78 from the RTW playlist.
It seems that there are things that one conbini does better than the others but that no conbini does everything better. Or does it? Science Kyde should be on that trail!
This video series would be very nice as a mini video series (maybe keep it around 5 minutes) that you release along with your main videos, other idea for this are Onigiri, Nikuman, Oden, Fried Chicken (this one is completely necessary), and company branded drinks/teas
YOU KNOW HOW I FEEL WHEN I WATCH YOU GUYS WAIT LIKE 10 MINUTES TO TAKE A BITE TO SOME FOOD, I FEEL FUCKING TEREIBLEEEEEE I WANT TO GET IN THE VIDEO AND GRAB THAT BURGER AND EAT EVERYTHING IN ONE BITE 😭😭😭😭😭
+Mr JoeJon I can't financially support you guys but if I am able to in the future I will! I will be sure to watch hella vids and even like them :) Also I'll spread the word b posting on facebook. I Enjoy the hell out of your videos! P.S. Don't corrupt Eric too much Kyde :D
I love how something as seemingly simple as meat sauce buns can be so enthralling and immersive! btw, as I'm a sucker for really good buns (chinese ones) I'd take the Lawson one in a heart beat. I knew the bun was good the moment I saw it. xD
I tried these out when I was in Japan specifically because I had seen them in your old videos though I didn't realize the different stores had their own versions! I only tried the ones in 7-11. I have to say it was a good little cheap meal.
+All Games Must Die I also have to add that I love the atm's in 7-11. It's just so fun to push those big fat buttons. I would always feel like I was operating a little mech or something. Just little things like that stand out. The atm's here are boring in comparison in my opinion.
+Kyde and Eric Try the soda flavoured ones ^^ They are actually quite good. You can normally find them in ice cream vending machines. How is it in japan right now btw?
we have those in Hawaii too but they are called Manapua and you can get them almost anywhere as well as 711 & they are filled with all kinds... char siu meat is probably the most popular.
How's the pizza over there? I haven't heard you guys mention anything about pizza in Japan. I know they have a few big chain stores there, but I usually find the big chain stuff here in the states pretty terrible.
haha, yea, we liked this idea, but it was really hard logistically to get all of them and keep them warm and fresh for fair comparisons. If one shop doesn't have something in stock the entire idea dies, etc. It was hard hahaha
Awesome video, though I kind of wish you had brought out the scale...and maybe did some side commentary on how the counter staff handle the product....Besides 3 being the ideal number for the two of you to share, is there another reason why you did not include AMPM, Daily Yamazaki, Circle K and that other store I am suddenly blanking on....Sunkus? Okay, seven would have been too many but Kyde being a stickler for detail....data, you've got to have all the data. All variables must be accounted for. Thanks again.
How can Kyde stand to wait taking a bite out of either of those? Honestly if it were I would've devoured them immediately. Maybe it's just 'cause watching your videos usually prompts me to munch on something, haha.
Every time I'm in Japan I live on pizaman. For me, the 7/11 pizaman is better. I normally manage to get them just as they're ready, so the bun is softer, the sauce is tastier, the cheese is fresh, and the 7/11 pizamans will usually have pieces of mushrooms in it. The Family Mart pizamans for me were just bigger buns, as in more bread. There is usually too much cheese, and the sauce is bland and just doesn't do it for me.
I like Family Mart wraping the most. Now, it's funny how serious Kyde gets when giving the final veredict hahaha. And hey Eric...Tylor Swift? Come on, Rihanna would've been better hahaha
I was hoping for the 7 11 to win, i mean price was right, and it seems convenient to have something you can buy and eat while your shopping for other stuff but it wont ruin your supper cause i mean lets face it, i think Kyde likes dinners at the 7 11 and has me wishing I was in Japan every time I visit our local store cause the only thing I am buying is the Slurpee, safer that way cause i mean its just not wise to buy dinner at our 7/11.
i've only tried the 7eleven and family mart pizzamans, and i agree as well, family mart was better. Now Kyde should do the same thing, but with tamagoyaki instead of pizzaman. :)
+kydeanderic For the right pronunciation of marinara you should read it as it was a japanese word. Since vowels in japanese and italian sound the same. So it's マリナラ :)
Does Eric ever run into any issues with having tattoos in Japan? Though I imagine with him being so tall and white there is probably little suspicion of him being Yakuza. Just curious how true the rumors are of the stigma behind tattoos over there
There is a stigma for sure, but as you said clearly I am not mistaken for yakuza. The only time I feel like it has been a "problem" is that I'm not allowed into sentos or onsens often, but it's OK I don't really like them anyways. That said I don't go out of my way to cover my tattoos up all the time, but at the same time I'm not the kind of person to flash them around, so most people never see them. -E
Wait, when Kyde ate that siopao (steamed bun) in the Philippines, how come she wasn't sure of the purpose of the paper at the bottom of the bun and was even 50/50 about whether or not it was edible? These buns also have the paper. The purpose of the paper is to protect the bottom of the bun from becoming soggy when they're being steamed; if the buns are baked, they're to protect the bottom from becoming brown and crispy (since buns like this are meant to be soft).
I would totally mac on those piazman; any of them those come in various fillings right? sorry Eric but Kyde is still better at the food ratings LOL good video lots of massive Eric chomping; missed the classic pass off that makes food look like it shrunk thanks guy you rock peace and love peace and love
Thank you for sharing another great vid. These pizaman has been my favorite since I was very small! BTW, about the 7-11 price, Eric is right - it must be on discount at that time. See www.sej.co.jp/i/products/chukaman/ - ピザまん costs 120-yen (inc. tax).
Have you tried the recent food choice at McD's...Fries and chocolate. Interesting food combo....money.cnn.com/2016/01/19/news/companies/mcdonalds-mcchoco-potato/index.html
OMG i miss those so much...you guy's just made my day with this video!
I love it when you guys geek out on food in Japan.

+Kyde and Eric Only in Japan can you geek out on food in the middle of the street or in this case in the ally way can you make a foodie video without being molested by drunks/bums/assholes or having the business owners calling the cops for loitering like here in the states.

Wow they all look so good! Fun challenge
Been too long since I've watched a video, almost can't keep up with the uploads!
Keep up the good work guys!
+VinnytotheK Haha, just once a week! But the long videos take dedication to watch! Haha. -E
More than I'm able to output, so it's impressive to me, haha
Your innuendo (intentional or not) always makes me happy! I'd love for you guys to do the same comparison setup with that AMAZING looking convenience store fried chicken I always see people in Jvlogs comparing to crack!
+Craig Chastain Hahaha, oh man that chicken is insane good. -E
Ah yiss, a new video to wake up to! Best thing while drinking some tea on your porch!
+Mistah Misses Sounds lovely! -E
I love you guys. You're great! Thanks for the videos.
+Ben Featherstone Thanks! -E
Ha! This took me on a journey. I really like these little "compare it" videos!
+Pretzelcrumbs Yea, it was fun to shoot! Kinda hard to find three convenience stores with the same thing in stock though! -E
I bet. I can't wait 'til the rest of the world catches up and we get pizzamon's in the DMV!! lol
+Kyde and Eric Maybe Onigiri next? Do they make their own?
+oriolesaltec Yea, the trick is to find the same flavor at all of them! -E
Ooo I'm excited for this new series. I wonder whats next, fried chicken? Oden!? Oh the possibilities!!
really enjoyed this vid I hope you do more of them Thanx
+Frederick Smith Glad you enjoyed! -E
Can't wait to try one when I'm in Japan! :D Probably never would have heard of Pizaman if it weren't for you guys and probably would have passed it up in the Konbini just because I wouldn't have had any idea what it was. Thanks mates!~
+Naviielle Sweet, enjoy your trip! -E
It's now 5:20 am and I'm heating up leftovers from last night because this video made me hungry. Those look pretty awesome. Like a hot pocket but classier maybe. Oh well, on to my Dakgangjeong for breakfast and episode 78 from the RTW playlist.
+tnhillbillygal Haha, do you ever sleep? -E
i need to pay attention to my toe tapping next time i eat something. LOL. that family mart one looked really good
It seems that there are things that one conbini does better than the others but that no conbini does everything better. Or does it? Science Kyde should be on that trail!
Would love to see you guys do more of these Conbini challenges when you get back to Japan.
Wow I think this is the first time Kyde picked something else over 7-11! Family Mart must really be killing the game for this to happen!!!
+Rasleen Pannu Yea, she's moving to the dark side! -E
"Taylor Swift in my mouth" made me spit my drink out. Thanks.
+Kenzie Alexander You're welcome! Sometimes you gotta spit out that Tay-sway. -Eric
LOLO need a side series.. "What Will Eric Eat??"
+Mystic Virgo Sounds scary! -E
The Conbini was one of the best foods I had. The red beans ones were the best. I want one now.
You guys really should have more subs. This channel is awesome lol.
+Angie M. Hahaha.
you should do more of this stuff
moment you ask what am I watching and keep watching anyways lol
+Steven Moon haha
I never thought I would hear such a complex discussion and a wish-list for a Pizaman. That being said, I would love some right about no!
+Hold Fast Films Haha
This video series would be very nice as a mini video series (maybe keep it around 5 minutes) that you release along with your main videos, other idea for this are Onigiri, Nikuman, Oden, Fried Chicken (this one is completely necessary), and company branded drinks/teas
+SuperUltraRollingBomberThunderCorporation Yea, maybe we will do more of them! -E
Agreed !!!!!!!!!
Gotta love the data!
It tastes like Taylor Swift in your mouth?!?!? A dozen bad jokes just popped into my mind!
+Cherri Kinney Haha
lol This was way more serious than I was expecting.
+JBC Haha, gotta be scientific with the data! -E
You two are lovely!
+Mr JoeJon Thanks so much! -E
thanks for the video They looked so tasty!! XD I will do a taste for myself on my trip to Japan on April
+Daniela Romero Good idea! Enjoy your trip! -E
Hey just wondering when you guys will have a new loooong video. Good stuff!
+Sir Vypre Probably next week! -E
SWEET!
I love how something as seemingly simple as meat sauce buns can be so enthralling and immersive! btw, as I'm a sucker for really good buns (chinese ones) I'd take the Lawson one in a heart beat. I knew the bun was good the moment I saw it. xD
+crossout9 Yea, an awesome steamed bun is hard to top. -E
+All Games Must Die Haha
Gotta try this when I visit next April. Love Family mart's stuff a lot but I give credit to Lawson's for the different kinds of stores they have.
+Perdomot Yea, these things are great! Enjoy your trip! -E
i loveeeee ur videoss aaaaaargh
+Diana Frida Hahaha.
can u do one with japanese ice cream plz 😄😆😊👅👍
+ottoniel gonzalez Yea, we just gotta be able to eat them before they melt! -E
+Kyde and Eric Try the soda flavoured ones ^^ They are actually quite good. You can normally find them in ice cream vending machines.
How is it in japan right now btw?
Anothe great vid!
We have similar things in Canada, called Pizza Pockets (probably in America too). But the ones you guys ate look better.
+craig aroni Yea, the difference is the pizamans have that incredible fluffy bun, so good! -E
we have those in Hawaii too but they are called Manapua and you can get them almost anywhere as well as 711 & they are filled with all kinds... char siu meat is probably the most popular.
They look awsome. Great comontary. Would you guys do this for a living if youtube paid for it.
How's the pizza over there? I haven't heard you guys mention anything about pizza in Japan. I know they have a few big chain stores there, but I usually find the big chain stuff here in the states pretty terrible.
+Robert Bartole It's pretty bad usually. We have found a couple of good places in Tokyo tough. -E
me and my partner do this with supermarket branded food in the UK too :)
+nicksynet haha, nice! -E
Never had any pizaman while I was there but I did eat a few nikuman. God I love those things.
+ikaruseijin01 Yea, those are good too! -E
More comparison / food ranking videos please
haha, yea, we liked this idea, but it was really hard logistically to get all of them and keep them warm and fresh for fair comparisons. If one shop doesn't have something in stock the entire idea dies, etc. It was hard hahaha
one of my favourite hot snacks from the conbini! That and karaage.
+Kari Haruka Yea, maybe we will do karaage next! -E
+Kyde and Eric That would be amazing!
Are there any Japanese fast food places that are 'clones' of 7-11 or other US chains? IE: Chains that have their HQ in Japan.
Haha, 7-11 has its headquarters in Japan.
+Kyde and Eric I didn't know that! :-)
+mustangrebus Hahaha, we stuck with the holy trinity. -E
I wonder what flavor the bread is? Yellow flavor?
+Tami Hz Hahaha, yep! -E
Can you do one with amerikan dokku or corn dog or whatever they are called?
+Luciana Voutilainen (Ranchani) Yea, maybe! -E
I'm so hungry after watching this hahaha but they look just like pizza pockets that we have here in Australia
+Rena Archard Yea, similar but with an amazing bun! -E
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
How can Kyde stand to wait taking a bite out of either of those? Honestly if it were I would've devoured them immediately. Maybe it's just 'cause watching your videos usually prompts me to munch on something, haha.
+scumballer Gotta have restraint! -E
When are the Philippine vids comming?
+jorge martinez In a week or so part one should be ready. -E
Can you do it with other things like onigiri, milk tea, etc.? That would be awesome
+Vivi Birsky Yea, sounds fun! -E
I demand a Frankenstein'd pizaman!
+Hidden Thicket Me too!
Personally I like the Circle K ones myself, not sure if they are made by a different company or not. Family mart would a 2nd. for me.
+DieselCrawler86 We don't have a circle K around here! -E
+Darryl Mair But the cheese is goooooood! -E
Haha yes, cheese is alwayyyyys good, but it would overpower the sauce :(
You should do a Conbini Challenge with onigiri, that's my regular convenience store purchase - it'd be good to know which is the best! :-)
+Cakes with Faces Yea, we might! But we also have an amazing onigiri restaurant to review too! -E
I try to keep my comments clean....but there are a lot of "That's what she said" moments in this video..haha good video guys
Hahahahahha
I like Family Mart wraping the most. Now, it's funny how serious Kyde gets when giving the final veredict hahaha. And hey Eric...Tylor Swift? Come on, Rihanna would've been better hahaha
+HongwareeChannel Rihanna doesn't bring the hits!
Kyde and Eric I think she does also, but, at least for me, she's way more beautiful...and then, it would taste better ^^ hahaha
Lawson Pizzaman is the best the of ever. The only thing that comes close is the family mart Cheeseman. If you guys ever see those, check em out.
+Hedgeyy Yea, have seen the cheese jams, but haven't tried yet. They are on the list! -E
Are these like pizza pockets ??
+TabbyAngel2 Yea, with much better buns! -E
That's great, but how about a taste test of a more "traditional" _nikuman_?
+Sacto1654 Planned for the future! -E
Idea for next video: Eric eating natto challenge! XD
+Ryra67 Naw. -E
i've only tried the 7eleven and family mart pizzamans, and i agree as well, family mart was better. Now Kyde should do the same thing, but with tamagoyaki instead of pizzaman. :)
+touchmenot films Oh man, tamagoyaki is so good! -E
Eric gets points for the Taylor Swift reference, but sorry dude, I would choose family mart for the reasons Kyde started.
so they are fancy pizza pops?
+candidXmoos Yea, with a really awesome bun! -E
+kydeanderic For the right pronunciation of marinara you should read it as it was a japanese word. Since vowels in japanese and italian sound the same. So it's マリナラ :)
+pipboy1950 Easy to remember! -E
Let's try ODEN comparison
+Japonicasian Haha, maybe! -E
Wait, when Kyde ate that siopao (steamed bun) in the Philippines, how come she wasn't sure of the purpose of the paper at the bottom of the bun and was even 50/50 about whether or not it was edible? I dunno, probably because you sometimes contradict yourself when speaking unscripted across videos filmed over a wide time period. Hahaha. -E
Oh, I totally get that, but that still doesn't explain why there's no Part 2 of Borneo yet. hahaha Gotcha!
But there *is* a part 2 of Borneo, it's just not live yet. I got *you*! ua-cam.com/video/oLoFkrYKoTw/v-deo.html
What?! Haha, day made. Thanks for this!
I would totally mac on those piazman; any of them
those come in various fillings right?
sorry Eric but Kyde is still better at the food ratings LOL
good video lots of massive Eric chomping; missed the classic pass off that makes food look like it shrunk
thanks guy you rock
peace and love peace and love
+Michael Smith Yea, they come with lots of different stuff inside. Maybe we will talk about other types in the future. -E
+Kyde and Eric great look forward to it
Thank you for sharing another great vid. These pizaman has been my favorite since I was very small! BTW, about the 7-11 price, Eric is right - it must be on discount at that time. See www.sej.co.jp/i/products/chukaman/ - ピザまん costs 120-yen (inc. tax).
+Sami Kozono Yea, I really like them...especially in the winter! -E
What's a pizaman?
No cheese, Whaaaat ? ........scary Kyde.
Im hungry now
"Least Not Authentic"
Dat tuck tho
+Mooremons For sure!
This should have been a blind taste test.
+thedentist888 Appearance counts! -E
From here I say family mart bun looked good cheesee but logo wrap 7 /11 But lawson fold !!!!!!! 😀
If only they would combine there flavors they would rule the pizza bun market :-)
+Oukoyami Exactly! -E
i like family mart
like a japanese hot pocket 😉 better or worse?
+seru12 Probably better! The bun is awesome. -E
Have you tried the recent food choice at McD's...Fries and chocolate. Interesting food combo....money.cnn.com/2016/01/19/news/companies/mcdonalds-mcchoco-potato/index.html
+rcolgla Not yet! -E
The yellow color looks really artificial :P
+MaaikeInJapan Haha, yea, I'm sure it's not natural. -E
