Good comment. BAB should not have been executed. BAHA-ULLAH should not have been banished and should not have been imprisoned. They did not committ any crime.
Furthermore, the family of Bahá'u'lláh should not have been shunned and excluded by the Bahá'í cultish organization which calls itself "the Bahá'í Faith". And Ahmad Sohrab should not have been separated from his wife and children because of refusing to obey the organization.
I am so happy to become a BAHAI, I have teach lots of people in my Community inThailand and I have children classes and JY classes and also study circle. Only thing that I could say is I love Bahai faith and I love to serve humanity...:)
I just became a Baha'i over 2 years ago but Teaching of Baha'i Faith has given a lot of constructive changes in my life. Thanks to Baha'u'llah for everything
I heard a Samoan quartet perform this in Auckland and it knocked me off my feet. Their harmonising is one of the undiscovered sounds which amaze on our planet.
please people don't to this page with arguing and hatred especially while this beautiful song is being played this sone was what put me to bed as a baby and 15 years later i still love it
It was Abbas Effendi himself who brought the hatred and arguing to the faith, it is his legacy as much as his extraordinary wisdom, kindness, and might. Idolising people based on myths is dangerous.
"My object is none other than the betterment of the world and the tranquility of its peoples. The well being of mankind, its peace and security, are unattainable unless and until its unity is firmly established. This unity can never be achieved so long as the counsels which the Pen of the Most High hath revealed are suffered to pass unheeded." Baha'u'llah
If anyone is interested in the recording of this song, it is on one of the "Lift Up Your Voices and Sing" albums. The music was co-written and arranged by Tom Price, co-ordinator and conductor of the Voices of Baha. It is sung by Paul Seaforth, and first performed at the Baha'i World Congress in 1992.
So beautiful ! Mahalo ke Akua ! Mahalo Bahá’u’llah ! Mahalo for your ascension. Mahalo for your love & service to humanity! Mahalo ‘Abdu’l-Bahá ! My favorite prayer: “ O God, guide me, protect me, make me a shining lamp and brilliant star. Thou art the Mighty and the Powerful.” -‘Abdu’l-Bahá
"O SON OF MAN! Veiled in My immemorial being and in the ancient eternity of My essence, I knew My love for thee; therefore I created thee, have engraved on thee Mine image and revealed to thee My beauty."
"O SON OF SPIRIT! The best beloved of all things in My sight is Justice; turn not away therefrom if thou desirest Me, and neglect it not that I may confide in thee. By its aid thou shalt see with thine own eyes and not through the eyes of others, and shalt know of thine own knowledge and not through the knowledge of thy neighbor. Ponder this in thy heart; how it behooveth thee to be. Verily justice is My gift to thee and the sign of My loving-kindness. Set it then before thine eyes."
Love this song very much. Brings back memories when i was a child attending sunday school. My father would also sing it to us while driving to sunday service. Love from a bahai in Samoa
This is my favorite song too. If there is one GOD... and we now know there is one humanity in this electronically connected world... then, there has to have also been one religion revealed to man periodically and in various corners of the globe... and thus, it is time for the ultimate global connection into one faith and one family to achieve the ultimate "peace on earth as it is in heaven".
Hi @adibreyhani. This song is titled "Look At Me, Follow Me" and is sung by Paul Seaforth in this recording. I think this is the recording from the album "Lift Up Your Voices And Sing". You can also find Mr Seaforth singing it on "Music Of The Baha'i World Congress". Additionally the Voices Of Baha choir recorded it on their album "The Voices Of Baha In Concert" where Van Gilmer was a soloist.
If we are true Bahá'ís speech is not needed. Our actions will help on the world, will spread civilization, will help the progress of science, and cause the arts to develop. Without action nothing in the material world can be accomplished, neither can words unaided advance a man in the spiritual Kingdom. It is not through lip-service only that the elect of God have attained to holiness, but by patient lives of active service they have brought light into the world (Abdu'l-Baha, Paris Talks, p. 80)
fastfoodA I am a Baha'i, and just wanted to say that your comment was a good one and shows great respect and wisdom. Thank you from a brother... Allah'u'Abha, Dale
I am a Baha'i, and we have 12 basic principles of which none of the eight you mention are on that list. I don't know what religion you are, but I certainly wouldn't make fun of it or disrespect it. God Bless you!
yes, Bahaullah had given us 100 years to accept Him, and as mankind was so shrivelled up in spirit, they did not accept His message. For that, we are seeing the deterioration of morals and spirituality in mankind, the suffering and the re-incarnation of Sodom and Gomorah, we see everyday on TV and around us, man-made disasters, the wrath of nature on mankind etc etc....until mankind come to acknowledge the latest manifestation of God and accept it. All the previous ONES talked of Bahaullah!!
He is, and should for all time be regarded, first and foremost, as the Center and Pivot of Bahá’u'lláh’s peerless and all-enfolding Covenant, His most exalted handiwork, the stainless Mirror of His light, the perfect Exemplar of His teachings, the unerring Interpreter of His Word, the embodiment of every Bahá’í ideal, the incarnation of every Bahá’í virtue, the Most Mighty Branch sprung from the Ancient Root, the Limb of the Law of God, the Being “round Whom all names revolve,” the Mainspring of the Oneness of Humanity, the Ensign of the Most Great Peace, the Moon of the Central Orb of this most holy Dispensation - styles and titles that are implicit and find their truest, their highest and fairest expression in the magic name ‘Abdu’l-Bahá. He is, above and beyond these appellations, the “Mystery of God” - an expression by which Bahá’u'lláh Himself has chosen to designate Him, and which, while it does not by any means justify us to assign to Him the station of Prophethood, indicates how in the person of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá the incompatible characteristics of a human nature and superhuman knowledge and perfection have been blended and are completely harmonized. Shoghi Effendi, The Dispensation of Bahá’u'lláh, paragraph 75
"He shall appear in 'The Greatest Name' on the Day of Judgement." This 'local use religion' comprises people from every race and religion in the world. It is true that Muhammad, may my life be a sacrifice to Him, is the 'Seal of the Prophets', but Baha'u'llah has said that The Prophetic Cycle has passed. The Cycle of Fulfillment (cycle of the prophets) has come. Adam thru Muhammad prophesied of the coming of the Day of God, the Day of Resurrection. He has come, in the "Greatest Name"!
Dear Sacred Word, Baha'i Social teachings such as The Unity of Mankind, Equality of the Rights and Opportunities for Men and Women, Abolition of Prejudices, World Peace, Balacne of Extremes in Poverty and Wealth, One Auxiliary World Language etc. are progressive and much needed for humanity of today and the centuries to come. Baha'i laws are generally less strict than past religions. Issues that are not mentioned in the Holy books will be referred to the Universal House of Justice.
We laws of the Kitabi Aghdas are in response to the requests of the believers at His time. The rest of the laws including the unprecedented issues not addressed in any religion are referred to the Universal House of Justice, the elected body of the Baha'is of the world. No reason to worry about the Baha'i laws. Baha'is are not going to push them on anybody. If the majority believe a law is good it becomes the law of the land, until then the Baha'is follow the laws of the country they reside.
@androsaurio1 `Abdu'l-Bahá means "Servant of Bahá." `Abdu'l-Bahá practiced all of the Bahá'í Teachings. He was a true Bahá'í. Everyone that calls themselves Bahá'ís should follow in `Abdu'l-Bahá's footsteps and act as Bahá'ís. `Abdu'l-Bahá never did a bad thing. He was always kind and loving to everyone. He fed the hungry, aided the sick, gave hope to the hopeless, and gave love to those without it. This song is from a quotation from `Abdu'l-Bahá. If only everyone on Earth was `Abdu'l-Bahá.
@asghar1231231 hi, my friend i don't understand this religion but i understand english, i live in ecuador in south america, i 'd like to know what is this sing about, could you explain me please ??
I'm a Christian, but I have great respect for the Bahai faith! Let us all unite together for the glory of God!
Good comment. BAB should not have been executed. BAHA-ULLAH should not have been banished and should not have been imprisoned. They did not committ any crime.

Isn't it just wonderful when we can be together and share our Faiths together, move each other, weep and laugh, and do good things?

Where is this stated in the Kitab-i-Aqdas (the Baha'i Book of Laws)? Never seen it.
Dear Mahyad Thanks for this wonderful Video:-)
I would say Bahá'ís follow virtues, which you can find also in the Quran.
