At the bottom corners of the radiator where those rubber pushings are, there are 2 little torx screws under the rubber things. If you loosen those the radiator will pull straight out
I've got a leak in my AC condenser. We spotted it spraying refrigerant right out of a pinhole in the middle of the condenser. Is it possible to replace just the condenser from the top or will I still have to remove all the front stuff like you did?
As far as removing it all? Patience! Lol, there was always another part that seemed to have to be taken off. But honestly now that I've done it once, I think it would go pretty fast the next time, it's almost like legos. A lot of composite materials though so just have to be patient and careful not to break anything. If you have adaptive cruise control (radar behind the bumper cover) and/or a front camera, those also have to be re-calibrated when they're re-installed with an ADAS calibration tool. Luckily this one didn't have that saving us some time on the reassembly.
At time 4:15 you have a sensor or something dangling away...where does it go?? I did the same thing water pump removal. I assume it is the lower hose quick connect area? Right side.
Awesome thank you! I figured it out when reassembling , I just followed the the marking from the clips.@@SkillCollectors . I did my Water Pump N thermo stat an I can say is Working on Audi's an making it run awesome is something to be proud of!
Literally just doing my water pup on my a4 b9. I gotta say. I did water pump/thermostat, radiotor, expansion tank on my old bmw e90 335i and doesn’t even compare…….this is like 60 percent easier
Because I'm an auto technician and I've removed and installed probably a couple hundred radiators or maybe even more at this point in my life. Just never done one on a newer Audi like this before, first time for everything, my friend 😁 The Audi's been running great!

Awesome stuff!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for always commenting.
Can you replace the fan without taking the radiator out ?
I’m currently working on my own a4 for both the fan and radiator, and so you gotta take out the radiator for sure since the fan is hooked up to it
@@rameekguy7222 got it installed but looks my relay is bad. And I can’t find the relay location in a b9

Hey, that's an ambient temperature sensor. it tucks up inside the front grill of the bumper cover.

hi i have a question about the intercooler. Why is one quarter of it blocked from airflow with that black shroud, is it like that from factory?
It's like that from the factory and I was wondering the same thing.
Thanks for watching! 😊
Help! Replace the radiator. Now water won’t flow to the radiator.. any advise?
thermostat and water pump replacement

I bet, these German cars require a lot of disassembly. I’m spoiled and used to Japanese cars where I can change a radiator in 30 minutes.
headlights stay in the main front frame. Didnt need to strip it all down on the car like that.

I would never buy this car
