it was just announced this week that Putin was told this week that full truck use of the bridge would take until Sept 2023 and the train bridge would be longer. On the north by karkiv, Ukraine has taken full control of the p66 highway, which basically makes belgorod useless.
@@PeterSedesse if thats true that wouldve played huge part ( the damage on the Kerch bridge ) .. and given that they are indeed apparently pulling out, must be the case really . what a huge hit that was,and played
It's unlikely to have made a major difference logistically, the main problem Russia had was that Ukraine blew up all the bridges on the Dnieper and was constantly attacking the inefficient barge ferries that replaced them. What is significant is that Russia is now preparing to defend Crimea - if it is cut off from the mainland Russia is going to have a far more difficult time defending the peninsula now, especially as Ukraine has effectively taken naval supremacy in the Black Sea. (Imagine losing naval supremacy to a country with no navy LOL)

Crimea wasn't always Ukrainian. Not before 1954, although calling it 'Russian' before 1954 would be simplistic too. But that doesn't change the fact that Russia's takeover was illegal and should be reversed. Aggressors shouldn't benefit from their aggression.
@@m0usze Politically Donbas was part of Ukraine during the Soviet Union and was geographically considered part of Ukraine during the Russian Empire. It was only in the late 19th and early 20th centuries that the region became heavily Russified by immigrants coming to work in mines and industry there. Crimea on the other hand was never heavily populated by Ukrainians, it was populated by Greeks but most Tatars before Russian conquest, after which it was colonised by Russians. If I was Ukraine I'd trade Crimea for Donbas in a heartbeat. Crimea is militarily important but has no natural resources and has always been an economic black hole for whoever's in control of it. Donbas has enormous oil and gas reserves (one of the main reasons Putin wants to conquer it) and a highly urbanised, industrial economy that has huge potential to be regenerated and repaired.
@@m0usze Incorrect, as far as I know Donetsk and Luhansk were part of Ukraine (independent or socialist) since the end of the Russian Empire. So for even longer than Crimea. Wasn´t it reported that russian generals wanted to pull out of Kherson for a long time now and just weren´t allowed to do so until now? That retreat is probably genuine. It would have never been sustainable to hold and in just a few weeks or months thousands and thousands of their troops would have been pushed with their backs to the riverbank with no way out. If they wouldn´t be pulling out now, it would end in a catastrophic loss of soldiers and the end of the war.

Yeah this is also the first time they have been truthful about falling back so it is a possibility and also I doubt that the west would retaliate with other nuclear weapons as nobody wants a full nuclear war, I think the west would just send sanctions to Russia if it did happen.
Well, the thought does linger, unfortunately for Russia the reality is that use of Nuclear Warheads in that way goes against their use as solely a defensive purpose that even they have agreed to, they would in turn open themselves up to Nuclear Decimation but ANY other nation that then wanted to ensure that Russia knows just who it's pissed off. Russia would be better served at this stage by retreating and regrouping, then, accepting complete defeat in Ukraine and moving on from this war with the understanding that they are no longer a global superpower despite their land mass and nuclear capabilities.
I am highly sceptical about this abandonment. Just have a bad feeling about it. When Surovokin said they want the preserve the lives of their service personnel (not something they've been concerned about before), and the fact that they've released the broadcast, just makes me uneasy.
Small correction: unlike Ukraine, RF was always VERY concerned about their service personnel (70K lost for RF vs 340K lost for Ukraine) and for civilian population (never yet used schools, hospitals and inhabited high rise buildings as support or observation points). Lets see how current orderly withdrawal will work out.

It's very simple to explain and easy to understand:
-- Kherson always was, is and will continue to be Ukraine.
-- Kharkiv always was, is and will continue to be Ukraine.
-- Donetsk always was, is and will continue to be Ukraine.
-- Luhansk always was, is and will continue to be Ukraine.
-- Crimea always was, is and will continue to be Ukraine!!
This is the raw reality. FACTS.
Slava Ukrayina!
Putin always was, and always will be a dwarf with little man issues. FACT!
Crimea wasn't always Ukrainian. Not before 1954, although calling it 'Russian' before 1954 would be simplistic too. But that doesn't change the fact that Russia's takeover was illegal and should be reversed. Aggressors shouldn't benefit from their aggression.
@@trismegistus2881 the same goes to donetsk and luhansk iirc
Okay, before that they were part of the Russian Empire, but so were Helsinki, Warsaw, or at one time Alaska. It doesn't give Russia any prerogatives to attack and occupy foreign soil.
Tactics used by Russia are weak sometimes, this is a pure trap because they don't normally broadcast their next move
Whatever troll
Indeed!
now the Russians are strengthening the border of Crimea. dig trenches and ditches there
The Ukrainian army are smart enough not to be lured into that sort of trap but the Russians are going to have problems when their troops and equipment start getting bunched up . They are retreating according to Deepstate maps and will be bottle necked against the river
or maybe they finally figured out you can't hide your movements in the of age the satellite.
Nobody retreats by announcing it.....The game is afoot !!
Be careful, they might set a trap. It's not easy for them to abandon Kherson.

Yes...SLAVA UKRAINI. 🇮🇩🇮🇩🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
Something seems fishy about this supposed withdrawal.
It sounds VERY familiar to Napoleon era where they retreated for some time and then Plummeted the French in surprise attacks
If indeed genuine most likely is the case that they werent allowed to pull out til now ,(til maybe or almost too late) .reminds me of later in WW 2 ,with hitler micromanaging the war for germany, forbidding retreats etc ,often until too late ..

What if russia pulled its army off kherson to nuke it ....imagine
I think they're smart enough not to try that. I mean, they're so popular now already, they might as well literally close their borders, I mean after when all Russians are back.
Then Russia will be nuked
Nah, they won't pull their "army" away just for that.
I am highly sceptical about this abandonment. Just have a bad feeling about it. When Surovokin said they want the preserve the lives of their service personnel (not something they've been concerned about before), and the fact that they've released the broadcast, just makes me uneasy.
sceptical is good. patience and hope for the best.
Russia is of a different civilization ( well not all Russians ). Mainly Putin and his cronies. Their civilization feels that evil is good and good is evil. So better be careful with those criminally insane bullies

Ukraine is already pretty broken, with almost 50% of the population either fleeing or dead and dying or under Moscow's rule since pre-2014. That's pretty broken to me.
To me, Ukraine looks like a patient who received chemotherapy, and after that he recovered well, his blood was replaced, he also received enhanced blood isolates, there are also injections of corticosteroids and steroids.
But we all know what it means when onco genes are reactivated and the immune system is no longer able to destroy them.
Ukraine will not emerge from this war as a whole, be sure of that, the rest will be devastated, without perspective.
The victory of Ukr in Kherson (if there is one) will be their last, already at the end of December or in January we can expect fierce blows on the Ukr lines and in depth.

Russian economy is better than before , they have gas , petroleum , food , , there population is around 145 million , so they have many people for the military , they have over 2 million people making armament … so make the calculations …,,

it would be great for Ukraine if they were to manage an offensive to recapture Crimea. But the fact that they've gained back this much ground since the start in February is a great advance in its own right.
@@casper6014 The only scenario I can see Ukraine retaking Crimea is if they could just walk in, like the Russians did in 2014. If the Russian army experiences a general rout, which is not exactly a far off possibility at the moment, then the Ukrainians could assault the peninsula with little resistance. Otherwise I doubt it'd be worth attacking an entrenched and determined defender across narrow causeways for a territory that hasn't even been part of the country for nearly a decade now.
