Very unpopular opinion: I love this era of MH. I really do, this is how they sounded back when I discovered them and it stuck. I like the other eras, even the newer, but this "numetal-ish" sound is just the right one for me.
I mean, he wasn't even MH's best drummer (that would be Chris Kontos), but yes, he is a beast. His work in MH and Sacred Reich should make him a legend.
You can tell from each member's movements that Ahrue is the nu metal one. He does the crazy leg dance most nu metal bassists use (except Korn, they just lean over when they play the heavy parts).
@@davidnissim589 Yeah but Robb mentioned that when they hired him he was from this death metal band or something, and he joined Ill Nino after being fired by MH and Marc Rizzo joined Soulfly.
@SUPERCHARGER2001 while i agree that the era wasnt really that notorious for its musical value, i should not that MH had put out some great songs as well in that period.
@animalXsuicida Cierto, Ahrue Luster no vale para nada. Aunque de sus dos discos saco algún tema: este, por ser la primera que escuché de ellos, y del Supercharger, Trephination es un tema excelente.

Definitely not their best song, but, the first one I heard from them, back in 2007-2008. Good memories, definitely.
Holy shit…I was at this show! Stationed overseas in Japan, Machine Head was insane that night

I mean, this guy was in Ill Niño for 16 years

This is supremely wank. I quite like the album version, or did. I'm glad they returned to their less bizarre metal roots.
