Me too , I feel it when Eichi said ( but you know Hibiki kun , I don't want to see you lose ) and Hibiki say ( don't say such thing ) it was emotional, and when Natsume say (we should have the right to have a happy ending)This was what Wataru wanted too, but he knew that the school would not change like this but he couldn't but Wataru and Rei couldn't tell Natsume this

UGh the wataei infirmary scene always makes me insane. eichi admitting his adoration of wataru openly because wataru saw it anyway, wataru WANTING eichi to go through with his plan because he's been lonely at the top and has seen eichi claw his way up to this level- to be on the same stage and tether him down to earth. eichi saved wataru, first by giving him true friends in the eccentrics, then by defeating him and replacing him as the lonely genius at the top, allowing for wataru to stand by his side ready to help compose the sequel. their beginning will always be one of my favourite love stories
Also natsume, tsumugi and nagisa make me so sad in this episode too. they're all hurting so much, but they're too deep into the show to leave the stage, now

Honestly, as someone who has English as their first language, it's really annoying. I get most people in the fandom have English as a 2nd or even 3rd language. That doesn't mean the translation should get a pass for being incorrect. Or at the very least, it being really odd to read.
@@snobbyhickory6257 oh yea my comment is mostly a joke, it's super annoying how they mistranslate events/stories in a super amateurish way, like did no one proof read!?!?? Makes me insanely scared for when they eventually translate the checkmate anime, cause that's been one of my all time favorite events for some time now, I don't think I could take it being heavily misinterpreted by en only fans due to poor translation. There's too much nuance in a lot of events to afford being mistranslated, and it sucks cause it seems very apparent the localization team doesn't care at all
Revisiting these stories with this selection project now has me rethinking a lot about what I used to think in the past vs now.
I used to think Mugi is just genuinely insensitive but now, I think he actually is aware but is really just acting this way as he deems himself being useful as his no 1 priority. Even if it hurts some people, even himself, as long as he felt that he was useful to who he chooses to help, then he is fine with it and see no problems.
Poor boy is broken. The character growths of them vs now is so good to watch 👌

No matter how often I watch this I will never understand why Rei and Wataru did'nt fight, especially Wataru. And I will never understand how Wataru and Natsume could forgive the traitors and form a unit with them after this... I just don't get it.

Rei didn't fight because he wanted to khs. He was rooting for Eichi secretely. Wataru didn't act because he was acting according to the script Eichi wrote. Because for Wataru the script of a theater stage was everything.
Altered event explained Rei's state of mind. He was sick and tired of having to be the one always saving the day, he didn't care much of anything at that point, and he actually wanted Eichi to win because he knew that Eichi wanted to help everyone. He doesn't deny the method was terrible but things would change.
I find it kind of surprising you say you don't understand how "especially Wataru" didn't fight when he's the one who has the least to lose. Wataru has said he didn't have friends before the War and when you look at everyone in Eccentrics, Wataru doesn't have anyone else in his life. Even theater course had shunned him (later he gets along with them better). Natsume had just started school so it's slightly different. And even he knows Tsumugi from before.
For Wataru, his reasoning is explained both in Blackbird, the short story that's also partly adapted in this anime, and in Altered. Wataru says he felt many feelings he had never felt before during the War and because it was Eichi who provided that, he got intrigued. Wataru said he fears he loses touch with reality and forgets who he is if he's too engrossed with playing characters on stage. He says he's more human with Eichi. This is not a new thing either, in older stories he has said things like that Eichi showed him that reality is beautiful too. So, then in Altered, Wataru asked Eichi to take him with him to "greatest stage".
And also in Altered, Wataru says that choosing Natsume's script would have not allowed Eccentrics to evolve and would've left them miserable.
At first Wataru thought that he'd just see for a while what intriguing things Eichi would bring to his life and give Eichi "a fleeting dream" and be substitute for Tsumugi and then leave but as their last school year went on, he didn't want to leave anymore. In EP:Link he says he loves Eichi so he'll continue being with him.

No, I know what their reasonings were, I just don't "understand" it logically and emotionally. xD I don't care about the lore here, I never read the old stories anyway. In Natsumes place, I just would be so fucking mad at those two. Even with your explanations I would still be mad at those two, because it just does'nt make any sense to me personally. Like, I even like Eichi, but still, this is horrible. And I will never understand it.
