These guys not only have brilliant videos, lyrics and music, they also create a storyline so that the fandom’s brain works. I love their messages from their work. Not only the clips are important, but also the teasers to albums. From pre-debut song Helevator to God‘s menu and Back Door, everything matters, every detail.
With Strays Kids one have to watch their videos to the very end. Stray kids sometimes leave clues throughout or toward end of their videos. Like Back Door and the video Megaverse. They left a clue toward the end with 'tablo.' Assuming they will collab with 'epik high.'

To answer your question, I’m no longer shocked by their varied styles and genres, however, because they are so diverse, I know I can never be sure what to expect. Since you are a new fan, who started the SKZ journey via their high every tracks (as most of us do), you may be shocked to know that they actually have some beautiful ballads. Many who don’t like their sound write them off as noise music only but they are way more diverse than that. (They actually titled a whole album “No Easy” - say that real fast……using word play to take a dig at the haters)
If you are curious about their live vocals, maybe start with the First Take series. Stray Kids have done several live performances so you get to see them outside of a structured MV and I don’t believe these get blocked in when reacting in UA-cam (I’ve never seen them blocked anyway). Most of those songs are ballads. My favourites are Scars and Lost Me, but they are all good. If you want an MV, Scars has one but no subtitles as the song is in Japanese. Outside The a First Take, I also love Neverending Story which is live and an OST to a KDrama. Then there is #LoveStay and a Youtiful, both written for their fandom and both with MVs, the latter fully in English. These songs are often underrated because the group is known for their high energy but I love seeing them all sing, even the main rappers who have beautiful vocals. I look forward to seeing what you think of any/all of these. They also have very experimental b-sides such as Maze of Memories, Third Eye and Tortoise and the Hare (people usually either love or hate this one but it’s lyricism and arrangement is very clever). Enjoy!

They have like 40+ genres, including their own called mala taste, covered in their discography. There's still plenty left for you to discover, lol.
It's ok to call them K-pop as K-pop is not a genre, it's an industry and one that they are very much part of.
Some other 'outta left field' songs of theirs that you should check out if you haven't are: Cheese, Tortoise and Hare (lyric video no m/v), Slump (First take version is my fav), Time Out, and Muddy Water (another lyric video w/ no m/v).
I've been listening to skz since hellavator was relesed but it wsnt till backdoor era that I could put names to faces and voices
Also want to throw in my vote for you to check out their subunits starting with 3RACHA (the subunit's name also is a song track name ) :song 3Racha,Heyday, We Go,Martroyska .then check out subunit Danceracha with Taste,then the duo of Hyunjin & Bang Chan in Red Lights,and Hans solos,Lee Knows cover of Love me or Leave me,Changbin solos and last but never least the golden voices of Vocalracha's Seungmin and IN songs....oh,Felix,Hyunjin,& Bang Chan all have solo songs as well which are ALL worth a good listen too!!😄have fun on this trip of new and amazing tunes by our boys!!ooooh,last one:Muddy Water!!!!!!!!!an ABSOLUTE BANGER of a track!! Btw,3Racha is the main producers,writers,and rap line of Stray Kids...they ate the first 3 in the group,lead by Bang Chan they are responsible for most of the actual writing & producing.🎶❤✌
