I live in NY, I hope the NYSE moves. Because maybe it will make NY realize you can't tax your way out of poor fiscal spending
The sad thing is that NYC tax, spend, but a lot of the problems don't get fixed....
It will not make NY realize you can’t tax your way out of poor fiscal spending. I have the best UA-cam channel.
NYC needs to also take the mentally insane seriously people DO NOT WANT TO BE AROUND THEM
There is a strange principle which some call "the worse the better". It looks like NYC and other similar places follow this ideology now.
Miami or Charlotte? What you guys think
NY has become a place where I don't want to be and it's no different for a business. Get up and get out before it's too late.
If someone has a house and can sell it, they should get out before no one wants to buy it. What do you think the time window is before it's too late?
RUN!
I’m feeling same about Ontario Canada. Becoming very socialist. I don’t believe in left vs right I know that corporations actually run both sides but liberties and freedoms are being taken away left right and center and we actually have a ‘right’ govt in Ontario.
@@jonathana2079 earnestly my recommendation would be no later than this coming fall. It took me almost a year to finally convince & help my friends to get out this past February.
@@jmc8076 it really is frustrating to try and convince family & friends about what is coming. I don't tell anyone what to do but I give them leads so they can do their own research. I loved Canada as much as I did my America but the gov't won't let up. It really is a shame.
New York City is so overrated, the most overrated city in the world. All hype, no substance. Most US cities are dull. Any historical character has been wiped out by corporate homogenization. US is a legacy brand in rapid decline.
Yeah, the difference between what NY actually is and how it was sold to me back in the day, is sooo big.
I hate going to old historic towns and they have the “any where U.S.A.” feel all they same shops and nick nacks.
SOOO true, I tried to tell people this and they lash out. MOST of the USA now is strip malls. Kind of boring now.
All made possible by fiber internet
I hope they do move. The Democrat party constantly needs to be reminded that we don't need to put up with their excessive taxation, regulations, fees, and other schemes to fleece us. Even the largest companies can pack up and leave.
Taxes will go up regardless of who is in power. The national debt needs to be paid for.
Demo-rat party= COMMUNIST PARTY
@@spacedandy7555 The national debt is a travesty and the latest 1.9T spending spree by Democrats is an example of their abuse. Only 1/9th of the bill has anything to do with Covid. The rest is for payoffs to blue states for teacher's unions, union pension plans, and other Democrat causes like allowing illegal aliens to come in unchecked. This would be called grand theft and treason if these Democrat criminals didn't have legislative immunity.
Left wing, right wing, same bird and that vulture is after all of us. Reminds me of a couple of songs: one way or the other, I'm going to getcha, getcha, getcha, getcha and every move you make, every step you take, I'll be watching you. Can't you see you belong to me.
You need to learn that the left and right party are the same thing, forms of control to give an illusion of control
Impossible to argue with these points. Andrew is a prime example of contrarianship done right.
Makes no sense to change your attitude or to change your perspective. You need to CHANGE YOUR LOCATION. That's how to invoke real lasting change for the better.
Hahahahahahaha a business partner loses if you lose, the government never losses. When companies mismanage money they go broke, when government mismanage they send you the bill.
Understandable.........thanks for covering this Andrew!!
Very helpful NY Stock Exchange information. Thank you for sharing.
This was always my argument. Why do you want 30%, 40% and 50% and you're not even 30, 40 or 50% invested in my business? You're not even invested in my failure. You're only invested in the success. And I look at that as a savage, entitled behavior
One of your best videos.
Glad you think so!
Exactly right, got some of those form letters myself. It's so obvious they don't care what we think.
What are some other channels like this one? I like this one a lot.
Failure happens little by little. Then all at once. Pandemic is seismic event that will change things forever. New York as well as other big cities will never be the same. Rome didn't fall in a day. Some newly emerging economies are more American (in the historical and optimal sense) than America.
Same thing with Nasdaq, they're also considering relocating
This is the best channel I’ve seen.
Andrew, you are spot on about the future. This century most certainly won’t be an American century like the last one was. The reason many of us aren’t yet moving out of the US and other legacy countries is that we can still earn a sizable income here, despite the high taxes it still makes sense to live here. But that won’t last long - as you already noted many emerging countries are freer and more welcoming, and salaries have gone up in many parts of the world, multinational corporations moved into many countries and now offer competitive salaries that afford excellent standards of living. At the same time our government is printing money like drunken sailors and taxes are going through the roof, not to mention censorship, media bias and socialism that’s being shoved down our throats. Sad!
Your channel is the best out of ALL the channels. I love your swag too.
Wow, thank you!
@@nomadcapitalist Your welcome
I believe the NYC stock exchange will eventually move to another country.

Yesterday or the day before I saw on the news that JetBlue is considering leaving LIC for Florida too. So that’s another L for Long Island City. Smh
@7:14 done same as an adult in Ontario Canada and same happens. One of them happened to be a close friend a close friend of my husb’s. Makes no diff. We’re selling our house soon prob still don’t qualify for your services but need to start narrowing down a plan and countries so we’ll keep watching. Rumors borders are going to tighten not open and lockdowns could last another two years even though respected studies are saying they’re causing more harm than good. Your book was great too.
I appreciate your work.
I appreciate that!
I read something yesterday that the gov in the US is going to double the capital gains tax. Real estate, stock market etc. After 2020 it just doesn’t seem fair to me.
Biden and the Dems are doing their best to bring down the US economy...all in the name of "social justice" They are complete fools.
It's horrifying to see what has happened to New York and nyc in the last year.. hard to see it changing course going forward.
Awesome video!
Glad you enjoyed it
will a change in stock exchange location will mark some difference for Not-US investors or it will be just something anecdotic?
They should go 2 Delaware
I guess almost anything can get a rebrand 🤣
Dear Sir, I will apppreciate any recommendations of countries, that offer something to the less well off and working persons. Regards.
Like "Rock in Rio"... in Portugal
I gotta leave NY 😫
Strange, I thought NYSE is physically located in New Jersey...
" Asgard can be anywhere "
Does it really matter that the NY exchange is physically in NY? Why would investors pull out? How would that market be less powerful if it simply moved locations, especially if we assume that physical presence matters less or not at all?
High taxes!!
How about the New York Stock Exchange moving to Cayman Islands?
Welcome to the “Miami Stock Exchange.” They have been negotiating for years since Alliance/Bernstein left for Nashville, Tennessee. They were a role model for Wall St. A&B got HUGE concessions from the city of Nashville and the state. Their TEN YEAR LEASE is essentially, “free.” I have been to the A&B client office at the top of Rockefeller Plaza overlooking the south end of Central Park. If they left, who is going to stay?
Please tell me where to get the starting music from????
I cannot believe how arrogant Governments believe that businesses "will not leave."
Of course they can. And they will.
Sanjosemike (no longer in CA)
There's also a Financial Transaction Tax/Fee proposed in Congress, so it may have to move to, say, Gibraltar or the Channel Islands.
I've been saying this!
The US federal government is also considering a transaction tax on all trades. A killer for all US exchanges.
Yes, move to San Fran, CA or maybe Washington State ! No place East of Utah !!!!!!!!!
The owner of NYSE needs to “Go Where You’re Treated Best.” He knows exactly where to begin his search.
Wow
Wait till New York Stock Exchange moves to Cayman Islands
Paris Stock Exchange is in ... London. Of course.
Taxes are an excuse. Look for DS grouping its business
The very reason the Bank of Montreal is headquartered in Toronto!
The NYSE is bluffing. Most of the network infrastructure is over in NJ, which isn't much better. I hope they do leave tho.
Or threatening maybe. Let's see if it matters to Albany.
I don’t believe it’s about infrastructure, it’s about taxing jurisdictions. Cheaper everything in say, Florida or Tennessee.
Shares would be cheaper if NYSE shifts to Europe on the other hand if the daily return touched 20℅ then the NYSE Can shift to Australia
Where to move? St. Kitts? Grand Cayman? It should change its name to “Global Stock Exchange” instead.
I am pretty interested in investing in small stock exchanges like Andrew mentioned in places like Armenia or Cambodia. Are there any small stock exchanges where westerners can buy without actually going to the country?
I see nba superstars sign with different teams I because they see a better opportunity to win a championship. So it doesn't surprise me to see businesses would take their company and get listed in other stock markets in hopes of winning big. Yum foods and Budweiser cluster in HK stock exchange.
I'm glad I moved out of NY when I graduated college.
It should come to Florida
Can you pls review best dental implants care outside of US. Thanks Sam
The 80s movie "Escape From New York" was written by Time Travelers!!! -- I knew it!!!
Thank you for a very convincing presentation; I’m certain your phones are already ringing off the hook, and one of those calls shall be me...
The New York Stock Exchange should move to...Singapore maybe.
1 month ago a sheet of plywood was $20 today a sheet of plywood is $70!!!
It's all really happening people!!!
Who is John Galt? Andrew Henderson!
Small exchange from tastytrade...
New York lawmakers are unlikely to pass that tax anyway.
They say the same thing about Buffalo, how can we squeeze it more to subsidize NYC? Buffalo has been rated in the top 5 cities getting poorer the fastest. I have a government job and was stuck here, but im going through the Panama process now, Mexico next and then Colombia. I will be out of here by 2025, if not sooner. I'd just like my pension first, if the dollars are even able to buy anything by that point.
Move it to miami FL please
Back when this first came out a few months ago I saw both Dallas and "south florida", but it seemed to favor Dallas at that time.

A lot of folks still think of the Philippines as a third world country. True enough that stock trading here is like stepping back in time but progress is being made. In my eight years as an Phil EX-pat, I have watched the PSE grow to 337 listing as I type this. Some companies have made shareholders wealthy. A few years ago, the first ETF was listed. Less than a year ago, the first REIT was listed and it has done very well. We now have a second REIT about to be listed. No option trading here but maybe one day as stock volumes build? There is even on-line trading these days, no need to call in to a firm. I am literally half way around the world and a 12 hour time difference with NYC. I get up at night to trade but I care not where the NYSE is located. YES, it can be done outside of NYC.
Leaving the stock market as it is last Friday was such a release for me. Now just have to buckle-up and wait for the hard times to pass. No more portfolio manager breathing down my neck asking for money to invest here, there, or there. Just relax and enjoy this uninterrupted 3 years of growth.
Or 3 years of decline ... 😮
@@jamescalifornia2964 I was referring to the past 3 years and that for the last year the stock markets are in a totally new and crazy-unsubstantiated-by-profits uncharted territory. I'll let it blow off from the sidelines and get back on the game once all the craziness is treated with a proper chill of a crisis.
Why can't they just print more to pay their own taxes??
Would be great air it moved to Tokyo.
Wish I could afford to live in Japan 😇👌
@@jamescalifornia2964 If you can afford an apartment in any secondary US city, you can afford a large house in rural Japan. The property taxes on my friend's Machiya style house, 3000 sf, on an acre of land, are under $500 a year. I had to have him clarify that this isn't monthly!
Meanwhile, I'm billed $11K annually for a 960 sf house on 1/2 acre in the US. I'm $70K in the hole on property taxes now, and the IRS is starting a major audit on me. I should have stayed in Japan when I was there as a tourist in 2017.
Even NYSE can be replaced. Stock market can move to the blockchain of SEC gets too strict
Why isn’t that thing 100% online by now anyway
They will love Florida
Texas Stock Exchange or Florida Stock Exchange?🤔
More likely Charlotte, NC, second largest banking city outside of NYC.
Cayman Islands Stock Exchange? Maybe they'd just leave the US altogether.
The NYSE should go completely offshore and completely digital. High speed internet cable has been laid across every ocean to connect the world and soon low earth orbit satellite internet will leave no square inch of the planet disconnected. Sell the building or break the lease, whatever you have to do, it's time to go.
This guy sure makes you _think ..._ We no longer have government "for the people" -- _the government has us !_
What is this 5% tax on people cash people who own a house in london ?
Most of their members and bosses are now your subscribers. 🤣
Andrew I totally agree with virtually everything you say, so don't take this the wrong way, but I did want to ask a question, not to contradict your views, but simply to understand how you would answer. Here it is:
If Australia is a "legacy brand", why is there such huge demand for residential real estate here? Why are there huge levels of immigration, hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world who move here every year, who want to come here and buy some of the world's most over-priced bubbly real-estate?
Why are many locals now priced out of the housing market, having to move 1+ hour away from where their parents live simply to afford a home? How can these things be true for a "legacy brand"?
When I think of "legacy brand" I think of something like BlockBuster, something that is still around but nowhere near its peak and fading away. In contrast to this in my part of Australia residential housing has only gone up to the moon for the last 30+ years.
I just recently saw a home built in 1925, with huge structural cracks and the interior looking like it was still the 1925 original, sell for $880K. There are literally hundreds of people for every open inspection. The demand for residential property is unprecedented, it is greater than ever. How can these things be true of a "legacy brand"?
Also please let us know when the updated edition of your book is released as well so we can order it!
A lot of people want to move to the US every year too, it doesn’t mean the country is going in the right direction.

Let's start a new country with Patrick Bet-David, Andrew. You & he can name it, I just want to live there.
Will the new venue refuse to put fraudsters in jail- the too big to fail. are too big to jail. That is the case in NY, but one can assume this will be the case everywhere.
Today, US taxes its citizen’s global income. The next great idea will be to tax all US citizen’s global transactions - a sales tax applied to any and all transactions involving a US citizen and another entity. When the USA adopts an electronic currency, USA global sales tax will become a reality - taxes will be immediately deducted electronically from the sale proceeds or checking accounts. Instead of “Go Where You’re Treated Best,” you’ll “ Go Where You’re Left Alone.”
Next year NYSE moves to Dubai.
I'm sure the NYSE is looking for where they will be treated best.
Imagine one of the hallmarks of capitalism and free market, the NEW YORK stock exchange wanting to move out of New York because of taxes. Oh boy, things are seriously deteriorating in the the US.
NY will quickly pass and exit tax that they can impose on companies that leave the state. Like a smack on the corporate ass as a thanks for the screwing they gave you.
Dear god, I was joking but I can see state based exit taxation for those relocating!
@@fillername458 CA was discussing a 10 year retroactive exit tax already lol. As unconstitutional as they come, but they will do anything to confiscate as much money as possible.
