The hell did you expect
This isn't helping. Once the file supposedly has been extracted, I start going through the various subfolders and there ISN'T a Tor Browser Setup, just a "start-tor-browser-desktop" text file which doesn't contain any commands that work.
I have the same problem.
since your channel is so focused on minimalism I though you were gonna teach how to download actual tor, not the tor browser.
I understand why you chose to show the tor browser as most people, that don't know much about privacy, could try to use tor on a non private browser/non private settings.
Id like seeing a tutorial on how to use tor with another browser, as well as tips for security/privacy when doing so :)
Rule 1: we don't talk about the standard tor protocol.
Rule 2: refer to rule 1.
Rule 3: never use a browser based on Chromium. Trust me, you're going to have a bad time all around.

Doesnt open or show at all the things you did , It just opens as a text doc
you just need to open the folder on the terminal, then write ls to show the opntions then ./start-tor-browser.desktop
I forget to tell you that you need to allow the start tor browser icon to execute as a program and you can also copy the icon to desktop but there is a faster and easier way to install tor by the software manager of your distro or directly from the terminal for example if you're using fedora just write sudo dnf install tor

right click the field inside the folder around the start-tor-browser.desktop, then open in terminal. type the following in the following order;

ls
2
./start-tor-browser.desktop
Tor will then launch after you hit enter

Do standard repositories have a copy i can use? No, and for obvious security reasons.
Can I install it on Arch and join a pedophile hunter group? Almost anything worth running runs on Arch, and you can join those based groups regardless of distro. Just don't commit self perma-sleep by accident several times.
Does social media work on it? You need to create an account through the chain, and then you can never log onto that account normally unless you want to have a bad time. Never log into your normal account through tor, even if its for a BBS.
Does it taste like Onions? Surprisingly, no. It's more of a citrus-salmon flavor.

no, its actually a bad idea depending on how you pay for/use your VPN, it could make you easier to identify

@@ari_archer The package is just called 'tor' I'm pretty sure. tor-browser is in the aur though.

How should I get the updates for this Browser in order to get rid of possible vulnerabilities in this software as quickly as possible, and isn't it better to add the Tor Repository into the operating system to get the updates for this browser automatically,as it is recommended at the Tor website into the article “Why and how I can enable Tor Package Repository in Debian?”?

Do everything he says until 2:50-ish
Open the terminal in your folder
Run "./start-tor-browser.desktop --browser"
Optional: Add to your favorites for quicker use
What's the difference? You're doing the same thing i.e. launching the browser via the terminal instead.

If you actually are root, don't do it. Set up a normal user for using Tor. Otherwise, you must hack out the root-user check.
