M2 instantaneous measurement | CAM SQUARED

This video presents how to use CAM SQUARED to measure beam quality metrics such as M squared.
CAM SQUARED is an innovative and compact system designed for easy and fast M squared measurement. Based on wavefront sensing, CAM SQUARED fully characterizes your laser beam in compliance with standard ISO10116 norm.
In this video, we use CAM SQUARED L (large size, max beam size = 4,2mm @1/e²) to characterize a 532,7nm laser source (0.8mW).
We use ND=3.0 filter screwed directly onto the instrument in order to attenuate the beam.
Waveview software is used to visualize beam quality metrics that are updated every second approximately. Three windows are shown here:
A camera window: used to align the beam;
A M Squared window to visualize the beam and the parameters. The user can choose the plan in which he wants to see the PSF;
A PSF window. This measurement is made in classical optical lab conditions.
