@@shanga7827 yes but it isn’t as much of a priority as other positions, ESPECIALLY our front line. Endo was one of our best performers last year, Gravenberch was our best player against Ipswich who played in the 6 and Bajectic has incredible potential and already a great player. LB is a major problem, Robertson isn’t the player he was and keeps getting injured and Tsimikas is no where near good enough. I agree, we are desperate for a CB, however whether he is left footed or not is utter nonsense. If Salah got injured, I don’t doubt it would be a blow, but we have Nunez, Diaz, and Gakpo who can all play there and be super effective. We also have Ben Doak, who deserves a chance at a run of games because he has been superb every time he has come on for Liverpool. All in all, I believe a LB, I’d suggest either Ait Nouri of Wolves or Robinson of Fulham would be UNBELIEVABLE for Liverpool’s style of play, and a CB, and I believe Liverpool would have a great season. After that, we can also reassess in January as Slot is still evaluating his team.

I love Arne Slot, his calm demeanour but you can see in his eyes that he is a no nonsense coach who isnt afraid to make hard decisions..He communicates well and he has a clear idea of what he wants...Liverpool got a perfect klopp replacement...
What comes across is a very relaxed, confident and warm personality. He seems very confident in his knowledge and experience, and his English is very good.
Klopp was a magnet 🧲 very charismatic but Arne is also personable and has his charisma. Ten Haag on the other hand has the peronality of a funeral ⚱️ director.

It was quite interesting to see Erik Ten Hag try to spoil Slot's arrival by saying the PSV team were better than Slot Feyenoord...so seems like ETH feels threatened already. Next week will be a massive game.

Which was true, btw. Bosz was and is doing an amazing job at PSV.
That being said, the players both coaches got to work with were different. So there is context to the matter. I did feel that Feyenoord milked Slot more to get their financials in order. Meaning, Slot had to turn players like Mats Wieffer (came in very cheap) into the players they have now become.
He feels threatened because he knows the comparisons between them are coming, and he won't be the one to benefit from those.
If you watched PSV and Feyenoord last season, PSV is the better team. I think it is a compliment, he just states PSV’s squad is better, and with the resources Feyenoord has Slot had an amazing stint there.

Such a class act. Unlike other people in football, he doesn't even undersell his previous team to appeal to his new team. Every chance he gets, he praises Feyenoord for their atmosphere, their management, their qualities and determination. He actually values them properly even when interviewers try to push his responses into a certain direction
This man has walked into the hardest job in world football. Owners are horrible and offer no support - best players more than likely leaving. Yet he doesn’t complain and keeps such a positive outlook big respect

To be fair fsg did sign him. In 10 years it's actually incredible what fsg have done for us. Rebuilt anfield, built one of the best training facilities in world football, chose and bought the right manager in Klopp, brought success and pride back to this amazing club and now have hired this man. Not to mention bought and sold the correct players which have built the success of the club, all while running it the right way

Well, Feyenoord was in a sort of crisis when Arne came. Feyenoord was the club with the least amount of money from the top clubs. And he still managed to become the league winner and building a new team which can compete in European Competitions. And all with less than 50 million over 3 seasons. As an Ajax fan I can only have respect for Arne Slot. As a Liverpool fan. I'm very happy he is the new manager :D

@@holmbjerg That wasn’t because Liverpool made no signings it was because the players are older and slower and could no longer accomplish Klopp’s high octane system for a full season let alone 90 minutes every game. Slot basically has the same team Klopp had last season and look what he’s done so far.

No suprise players adopted quickly to Slot his style of play. He is such a good communicator and trainer. Feyenoord went from Advocaat to Slot and in one summer he turned the whole club around with his style of play. Advocaat played Mourinho type of football. Imagine being able to do that. Now he has players who are used to a similar style of play with only small tweaks. Liverpool you have a legend in the making in your hands
