These five Amazing men will blow you away with their vocals.. Just wait till you hear the rest of their songs Original and Cover.. They can pretty much sing Everything..
Once you know ALL sounds are done by voice, and appreciate the Video production, the history of the song may give you a different angle on your feelings. A folk song, first recorded in the 1920’s, was then called “The Goodbye Song”, a man bidding goodbye to all he knows and loves before making a desperate run for freedom. Listen for the line about riding that northern railroad, that’s the clue, and brings the true heart to a very sad song inspite of the tempo.
If you thought the beatboxing in this video was terrific, try watching "Mayday (Live)" and "9-5 beatboxing breakdown". Home Free often does something different in their live videos to keep it fresh for their concert audiences. Fall down the Home Free rabbit hole - it's a great ride! By the way, they don't just do covers. Both Tim Foust (the bass) and Austin Brown (long curly reddish hair) are songwriters and they both have songs by Home Free (e.g. "Snow Globe", "Understand" by Tim "Love Me Like That", "If I Met You Now" by Austin) and on their own channels.
You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there. This song blew me away when I first heard it & I was completely hooked. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound. This song is very old & is done in the bluegrass country style. It was used in the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" starring George Clooney.
The best acapella group ever, imo. If you decide to react to more Home Free i would love to come along for the ride. Agreed about End Of The Road and adding Country Fried Pop Medley and Butts Remix. Will be watching to see if you decide to react to more.
All vocal group. Can't go wrong with any of their songs, their cover of Boyz II Men is amazing, with Shawn Stockman of B2M's blessing and encouragement.
Home Free is the best--period. It's easy to forget they are completely acapella and make all "instrumental" sounds themselves. In this song they are making a distinct southern (bluegrass) presentation--it definitely fits the lyrics of the song. Chance doing the jaw harp sound really sets the stage for this song's story, which Austin's twang fits phenomenally. Tim's bass line completely grounds the harmonies and Adam's voice percussion simply cannot be beat. This performance highlights a lot of Home Free's strengths although they also handle ANY other genre just as amazingly❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
That twanging sound, was Chance correctly imitating a mouth harp, with a tecnique called throat singing, often used in Tibet, Mongolia, in the North Russian tribes, amongs Inuit tribes and Xhosa peoples. And Adam's harmonica sound, was a nonmonica, they rarelly use instruments, but Adam's abillity to imitate musical instruments are fenomenal.
Home Free is amazing. They’re ‘a cappella’ so no instruments. The beatboxer is amazing. He is incredible doing the harmonica and drums. They are super talented and all can beatbox to a degree. The bass has a 5 octave range so he can sing super low and sing up with the tenors….not kidding. Good reaction!
Home Free is incredible. Everything they do is great. And although they are a Country A-cappela group, they can really sing all genres. They really all have great voices with their own specialties. Even Adam Rupp who started the group with his brother Chris Rupp. Chris left the group in 2016 to go solo but also to start other projects with his sister, among others. Adam Rupp-Beatboxer but is actually an inhuman freaking good mouth artist. The best beatboxer of the world Tim Foust- Deep bass but also as a tenor and everything in between is possible. Austin Brown-High tenor with his great runs and high notes. Rob Lundquist (beard and glasses)-Tenor, with a voice like velvet and so much soul. Adam Chance (back left, who is called Chance) - Baritone/ Bass, a voice so smooth and sexy. And who here also makes the Jaw harp sound. There is no lead singer in Home Free. They look at every song whose voice suits it best, no egos, no rivalries, great personalities etc. Besides, they can all beatbox (see their live performance 9to5). .. This is one of the many covers they do in addition to various originals, and each one is just amazing The number one for me
LOL not a baritone, but a BASS my man ! They are exceptional. You should check out their cover of Boyz2Men's "End of the Road"....your mind will be blown
@@HatleyHour yeah Chance is the baritone, and Rob is the low tenor or normal tenor & Austin is the high tenor, the guy who sang lead on this...he is outstanding as the lead in "When a man loves a woman"

THANK YOU for knowing it's a jaw harp and not a didgeridoo. People have been driving me batshit with that.

Not just a bass even, a Basso Profondo, the lowest voice type!
It's just plain beautiful. Nice voice too.
They have so many good songs and the bass Tim can cover 5 octaves.

Baratone is the REGULAR male voice. He's bringing that BASS.
A Great Acapella group! All instruments are made by Chris Rupp. A great beatboxing
Chris is a beast!
Adam Rupp is the beatboxer/percussionist
Tim Foust (the bass singer) is one of my favorite bass singers ever. Only second behind Geoff Castellucci of VoicePlay.

Hatley, what are you doing??
If you find 'us' in the woods,
something has gone horribly wrong !! ....
How'd you like Rupp's 'nomonica' (as dubbed by another reactor--Shoky)?
Baritone is higher than bass
Bariton? Basso with some overtone.
Not baritone, bass
No instruments
