Dude I made a mistake and hit the button on my remote and it came up. I was like what is this?!? Because I like it. So I did some research. Didn’t even know I had this. Great find.
Awesome man! Glad I was able to help!
Hopefully on a future update they can allow us to watch All the cameras at the same time, so far I like the direction
Now you are asking to much from Amazon! Lol but I do like that idea!
Here it is a year later and I can still only view 1 camera at at time.
Thanks 👍
You're welcome!
Thank you for this, as I wanted to know of how to get to the dashboard without saying it to the remote. Now I know you just press and release the mic button
You are welcome.
If I get a live view of a camera by selecting it from the dashboard, pressing the return button takes me back to the dashboard only for a split second and then it changes to the FireTV home page. End result is I have to go through the entire procedure again to get back to my cameras in the dashboard. Wondering if anyone else has this issue.
Thanks so much for sharing, I accidentally came to the screen, and couldn’t bring it back up the dash board. 😎😎
You are welcome. Glad I could help!
what version of fire stick are you using? Mine doesn't have everything you show, I don't know if it's the basic version, or because it's from another region.
Since I made the video there has been an update to the smart home dashboard. Amazon has added a couple of new tabs in there (Groups & Thermostats). Now it is possible that it has to do with the region that you are in and not the version of the Fire Stick. What do you see when you launch the smart home dashboard and which Fire Stick are you using?
My Ring doorbell pops up on one of my TVs (but not all of them) when someone rings the doorbell. How do I turn this feature off?
That you will have to do thru the Alexa app on your phone. In the Alexa app, go to Devices > Cameras > Ring Doorbell > Click on the gear icon on the top right > Announcements > and uncheck the TV that has the check mark on it.
What two app are you using
Not sure which apps you are asking me about. Little more info please.
You can also pull up this dashboard while you're already in another app or program and then back out of the dashboard to resume what you were watching. 👍
Yes you are correct. Thank you for sharing!
How?
Just tap the mic button.
I sat on my remote one night and never even knew it was there. Been trying to figure out how to pull it up again…
Can you download any dashboards?
No, you can not right now. Maybe in the future Amazon will add more features to the dashboard hopefully.
Amazon, as always, comes up with a semi-useful idea, but completely neuters it. The dashboard will only stay up and show your cameras for about 2 minutes before going back to your last screen, making it pretty useless for keeping an eye on your home. IF they would allow you to pull up your camera thumbnails like the Ring dashboard in a web browser window, THEN it would be an awesome feature similar to the IPCAM Screen Saver on the Roku. But for now, it's yet another half baked feature from a company that just can't get it right.
I totally agree with you! One reason why the cameras only show for a couple of minutes is that sometimes people forget to exit from live streaming and that will result with the battery draining and not working after (most of them are using a battery powered camera but not all) and if you have a data cap from your ISP, then you may use up a lot of data if left on all day by accident. It would be nice if they had a notification pop up after a certain amount of time of live streaming to make sure you are still viewing before they exit back to the main screen.
@@DJsTutorials Except that Ring's own dashboard on their own website stays up and gives you updated thumbnails every 30 seconds to 3 minutes based on your settings. If Ring thinks it's ok for their own product, Amazon certainly doesn't know better.
What is the other app me say???
What other app?
@@DJsTutorialsI realized you were talking about Alexa
