    God I've been playing my version of triplets no probes, but doing ur technique in this video is so hard, ur an excellent teacher and tho I'm miles from doing the jig rule as good as u I can see its importance in playing the Bodhran with this up my sleeve the important thing to have under the cap 🇨🇮☘☘🍺🤠 the way u slow it down at the end of ur video at the end which really shows u how it's done. Well done thanks so much u love the tea,huh. UV been in Ireland that's for sure 🍵

    Hi Nicole! I am SO happy to see you posting again! I had been getting the urge to learn how to play the bodhrán for a couple of years, but watching your UA-cam posts finally gave me the final push I needed. I did a lot of online research and after seeing what you play, I decided to order my own Coreline Universal. I began teaching myself on June 18, using videos by you and several others. I find your demeanor and presentation very friendly and approachable, and I have to credit your helpful and easy going style for a lot of my early success. I thank you sincerely for that. I wrote you several notes around the beginning of June with questions and to let you know how much you helped me get started. I can count on one hand the days I've been unable to practice and could hear a great improvement even in just my first week! I am finding it fun and immensely satisfying and I'm very happy that you plan to post additional videos soon. I hope to sign up so I can find out how to hear from you regularly, as I would dearly love to connect with you sometime online - for a lesson or just a quick chat. Thank you so much for sharing your musical talent and your passion because I have definitely caught the bodhrán bug!

    I found your channel when I was looking into buying a Hedwitschak bodhrán! Your positive review helped me decide on the Coreline universal model, and now that it's here I'm loving your videos to help me step up my game a bit! My old bodhrán wasn't half as melodic and I'm having a lot of fun seeing what I can do with this one. I feel like I have so much more room to grow now, and I'm excited to use your videos to help me with that! Thank you for sharing them!

      Doesn't sound right does it, a tan in Ireland tho I went Aran island Inis oir? And it was close to 30`` degrees for the weekend I was there n I must admit when looking out at the sea from the beach there and ud sware u were in Jamaica believe it or not and without a doubt Ireland is the most Beautiful country in the world when the sun decides to grace us ha ha. Glad to hear u had a wonderful time in Ireland ☘🇮🇪🥁🥁🎶🇮🇪🍺 and thanks again for another tuition. Now time to get stuck in n learn more. I have written a song about the Covid 19 pandemic, so now I wanna get to grips with my Bodhran and get a cool groove going while singing my new song 🥁🎵🇮🇪

    Glad to see you online again! I had seen the DOWN UP TAP method on another video, and wasn't quite sure if it was legit. It seems a great way to produce a lot of sound while being economical with the amount of skin covered. One day I too would love to visit Ireland. I hope you had a wonderful trip. If you don't mind me asking, where are you from? At first I thought your accent was Irish; is it not? I'm in California, so you can imagine the lack of bodhran players out here. Thank goodness for the internet! Your instructions have helped me greatly, thanks for being there!

    my Bodhran has crossed wooden sticks on the back so its difficult to to the hand bit. Any tips?

    • @NicolleFigMusic
      @NicolleFigMusic  4 роки тому

      Perhaps you can consider removing them? Usually they have screws on the outer part of the shell. Some of my students have done it themselves, but if you're able to contact the maker, perhaps it would be a good idea to get in touch so they can give you better instructions. If is a store bought bodhrán perhaps you can try yourself? However, the decision is up to you! I wouldn't want it to damage your bodhrán!
