Very clean cut man, looks amazing! did you just eyeball when you made the template of did you actually measure everything out, I'm sure you don't have that template anymore. I would have loved to have printed out a copy. I wan this same look on my GX
So my wife wrecked my gx470 bent the front frame and ripped the radiator support. I'm about to buy a salvage one and just transfer some doors and windows. Il have 2 working gx470. Any ideas on what to do with the one with bent frame. Seems like a waste to junk it or sell it works fine
Yea! I'd look at some of the frame pulling tutorials on UA-cam and get yourself some ratcheting chain stuff. A hundred or so bucks, a sturdy tree, and some strong elbows could get you an amazing straight frame off-road project car
The reason the kid is crying in the background is because he knows the destruction being done to the bumper will greatly decrease his inheritance. Please daddy stop before it is too late!!
Haha not sure if you've noticed, but this car is definitely not an inheritance car and shouldn't be expected to be in 16 years after it goes through the mud lol. And to each their own 🤷🏽♂️ my kid is gonna appreciate good stuff like this and not be scared to make things look good the way they want them to look haha
Thanks for sharing this! Just did the same on my GX, about the same amount of chop. Are you experiencing some crazy wind noise? Just test drove mine over 80+ and it's loud af LOL maybe it's time for a full steel bumper upgrade!
Did you cut the styrofoam support under and leave it in or did you take it out? I haven’t driven it at higher speeds yet, but I’ll test it out and see. We do plan on doing a skid plate that matches up with the cut line so if there is any wind noise or flapping around hopefully that will fix it
Super O Garage I originally took it out but ended up cutting it and fitting it back to its spot. I also cut the mud guard way higher than before so that it doesn’t flap. The wind noise is much better now but definitely louder than before but hey having more approach angle is awesome. In terms of the skid, which brand are you going with?
We are actually planning on developing our own skid plate. We thought it’d be a fun thing to do a video on real soon, but we have a project to finish on the Big turbo Ecoboost first then we should be ready to work on the skid plate. We plan on doing it very D.I.Y. And go through the whole process so it’ll be accessible to anyone who wants to make their own.
@KINGDOM MT LMAO I was dumb enough to realize that after cutting it. But smart enough to take advantage of Demello bumper (20% for black friday) hahaha it's otw!
Thanks! The rear is comin up here real soon! We just did the exhaust on it and it sounds amazing and not too rowdy for a more refined taste. Keep an eye out for that video posting next week!
Those lights are actually just temporarily mounted up there by strapping them to the grill. A few days after this video we replaced them with larger rounds that mount directly to the top of the bumper with a diamond plate underneath it. We can show that in a future video if you’re interested in seeing how we mounted them.-
@@samzheng7880 no problem! look for it in a future video soon! We have an exhaust video coming out for the GX470 next, but I'll make sure our next video after that one on the GX470 includes showing how we mounted it and ran the power.
Thanks for the feedback, but unfortunately paint doesn’t help the car perform better off-road. Also we wanted to give the gx470 a more rugged look because it was engineered with great off-road potential, but its body panels definitely weren’t designed with off-road in mind. But I’m curious, what part did you think should’ve gotten painted?
Not bad. I would’ve followed the line from the fender arches then curve it out so the line flows better.
I could definitely get behind your channel for life
Never knew this was possible!!
Tire size? Ko2?
this is the exact type of vids i like
Is this ur only vid like this or do u have more

pretty aggressive chop bro. doing something similar to mine soon.
Are you stock height on this?
Lifted?
Nice work dude, think you did a good job on the cut height I think for mine I’ll do a bit more angular but still appreciate the look! Do the rear!!!

is their a specific cutting wheel you used and what did you sand with? looks awesome!
Not bad, where the line departs from the arc of the wheelwell it looks a little too pointy.
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK
