I love the old Hasbro WWF figures. The smaller scale and brighter colours makes them more "adult collector" friendly than the LJN figures. When I was a kid I had a decent sized collection, now as an adult I have the whole collection. Only missing the mailaways. My re-collecting of them began a couple of years ago, I found a guy on ebay selling a complete ring plus 30 figures for £100. I'll take that thank you very much 😀

I still own my Vintage WWE Ring and Hasbro Figures. I put them on Display at home and everytime I look at it, it puts a smile on my Face. A wonderful Time it was back then. :-)

Patrick Hein Same here man. Among other things I've spent quarantine restoring and displaying my old hasbro ring and wrestlers. They look great now and, like yourself, they're a guaranteed smile from me everytime I see them.

Out of all the action figures and playsets I had as a kid I would play with them for a little while and then basically put them on display and never play with them again. But these Hasbro WWF figures I played with until I wore them out. I had some of the old Galoob WCW figures too and they were okay, but they were just solid plastic with no articulation. I used to do WWF/WCW dream matches in this ring. Ironically, I used to do tag team matches and would team Ultimate Warrior and Sting up because they had the same face paint. I even came up with a name for them "Ultimate Stingers". I was stunned a few years later when I found out that they actually were tag team partners early in their careers.

I used to own the original Hasbro ring back in the day. Indeed the ring, the steps and the table displaying the belt were one piece; also the plastic wasn't shiny at all, it had a matte finish and the stage platform was textured as well. The posts, turnbuckles and ropes came all as separate pieces and required to be assembled together.

I feel the same about the figs like I went to Target and I saw them and I was like I’m not a huge fan of those figs but I do have the same ring I got it from Santa for Christmas.

I never watched wrestling as a kid but my dad did, it was one of those things that always seemed to be on in the background when I played with my Lego. I really never got into it even as an adult but I can still remember the names of most of the guys who were in the WWF when I was a kid. I always thought Hulk Hogan was awesome even though I never paid attention to the matches, I just assumed he always won because he was the "Good Guy" even though I never decided who the "Bad Guy" was. You might assume as a child I would think The Undertaker was bad because he was so dark and never spoke but I always thought he was awesome so it wasn't him. I might have to pick one of these up even though I never had one or any of the figures.

Like you, Michael, I grew up playing with the LJN WWF figures and by the time the Hasbro versions were released, I was 16/17 years old and had moved on to other things. Fast forward to last year, 2018, I finally purchased my first ever WWF Hasbro figures. A seller on eBay was selling the first series of figures for $70.00 plus shipping. I purchased 50 figures in all throughout the year and I was even able to find the Hasbro ring, in very good condition, on eBay for $39.00 plus shipping which I think was $10.00. It was missing the belt though but, I've bought some customs from other sellers on eBay. Absolutely love your content, takes me back to some of the best times of my life. Keep it up!!

This takes me back to days when I started watching pro-wrestling as a child. I was also a collector of the LJN line. Those figures were very beefy and could take a beating. Thanks for this wonderful trip back in time.

Thanks Droz! LJN's were the most fun 'smash-and-bash' toys for me and it was awesome to have a toy that couldn't break! :D

I remember getting in trouble with my old Hasbro ring for taking off one of the turnbuckles during the course of a match, then trying to get my parents to help me put it back on.

I think they should make a limited edition LJN style series as well and shoot throwback type commercials

I feel like Wrestling in the 80's and 90's were superior to todays product. I'll take WWF over WWE anyday, only because I feel that WWE doesn't make too much sense. Say what you will about the New Generation Era,but atleast everything made sense, unlike The current era. I feel as if NXT is the True evolved form of WWE and not the main roster. Say what you will about Triple H,but one can't deny his skill as a showrunner. He seems much more "in-touch" with the WWE fans then Vince McMahon is.

Me and little brother had original ring and bunch old figure we use a tape player with the rocky theme ( eye of the tiger) for ring entrances so mush fun

Love in. I had the original ring and a bunch of figures, but saddly at the age of 15 I was playing monopoly with classmates for real money and got into terrible debt and had to give away all my ring and figures to my friend... It would bring a nice penny right now, and I kept the original box for years even after I lost my ring and figures... It was all great fun. In my country, we never had the LJN figures, so the smaller ones were all we had... but they were great.

    Awesome video as always sir!
I have the old Hasbro ring here in my toy room. And you are correct, the turn buckles of the old hasbro ones are separate. And are usually lost.
I just wanna share a silly story about my ring.
I once meet a guy during the Friendster internet era, who kept on bullying me to give him one of the turn buckles so that he could resell his.
He kept on insisting that i could use the big plastic beeds as a turn buckle replacement parts. He really wanted me to give him a turn buckle. He told me that I should just use a proxy part because, i had no plans in selling mine. His argument was very pointless.
    Good day sir.

    2. Do you prosecute shoplifters?
